I heard somewhere that McDonald’s straws are slightly bigger, allowing more carbonation to enter the straw, resulting in a mind trick of making you think it tastes better.
It’s kinda true lol but we have a special way to carbonating our drinks I’ve been working at McDonald’s for two months as my first job craziest part I’ve had was having to cook 30 mc chicken Pattie’s
Regarding the sprite most McDonald’s make their own carbonate on site with filtered water. I doubt the sprite syrup is any different. Also the size of the straw does play into why all of their soft drinks taste better than other places.
I appreciate the consistency. Almost EVERY McDonalds is the same. Some of them vary, the ones that do higher volume the food is just more fresh, but that's sort of to be expected. Also the consistency of the menu. It has evolved lots of the years but you still have the same core items holding strong.
Cool seeing how far you’ve come man, you talk about how crazy it is for McDonald’s progress, your progress consistency and discipline is very admirable. Role model type work ethic, never change
This is so cool, I've been working at Macca's for about 3 weeks (still a little new) and by far the hardest thing to learn has been the screen where you input orders. It's like a labyrinth trying to find everything lol and turning stuff into a meal still makes no sense to me. Other than that, I love working there haha (I'm in Australia)
had an orientation a few days ago and one of the crew members came over and told us it was really confusing. also told us that the jobs sucks but the crews good 😀(also in australia)
Good luck to your journey of working wherever you can! It’s so crazy to see your channel grow and grow! I’ve been watching since like 600k and now your at 6mil!!! That’s crazy! Again, I hope your journey goes smoothly, and well!
I watch both your and Stephen’s videos and I have to say you’re wrapping the burgers in such Subway way. I dunno, but your wrapping seems so Subway-y! Love it! 👍🏼
I worked at Culver's, which is a Midwest fast food chain that is a lot like McDonalds for 3 years, and the experience has given me a perspective that makes me appreciate everything fast food employees do.
I think the secret to McDonald's sodas being better is the same reason for popular BBQ joints being the best, the inventory is constantly being cycled out due to higher demand, therefore it is constantly the freshest. The syrup boxes attached to the soda machines are changed out more frequently due to the higher demand.
A bit late, but the sprite thing. I think they have great sprite to. It's likely the ratio they mix the soda. They probably have really good maintence on the soda machines. I was a restaurant manager, and only time I drank sprite is right when we change the syrup bag every couple months. (sprite isn't super popluar where I worked, so 2.5gal bag lasted a while) When ever I placed in a new syrup bag, the ratio seems to make it sweeter, but not overly sweet, and only a couple cups are like this. The coke did the same thing, and I didn't like it, it made coke taste like artificial sweetner. It could be our machine was funky and pressure is lost somewhere when we replace bags, but thats my best guess.
I'm from Canada and Tim Hortons has a farmers breakfest sandwich. It's an English muffin or biscuit with sausage/bacon, egg, a hashbrown, and chipotle sauce. Best breakfest sandwich combination. You can also order it as a wrap which is a lot easier to eat.
I was actually impressed by how mcdonals does it, everywhere else just fully makes the sandwhich and puts them under some kind of heating element, but mcdonalds does it different and it always feels freshly made because of that.
I love Minty Fresh tick tack's videos! I mean all macadamia's videos are so fun! Anyways, MacBook do u have any more karen vids bec they are soo funny Cheers Macbeth
The special menu Item is actual a Thing in Germany 😅 its a seasonal Item (usually around december/january) and ist called "Big Rösti" they serve it in a bun with cheese in the top
Noo waaay! I was just about to ask if you collabed with Stephen patula and this man has gone and done it. The two food channels I watch the most. Dream come true.
When he talks about the line of workers that reminded me of this fact. McDonald's open and after the first or second day closed and started drew chalk lines on a basketball court to train their employees to be faster and faster wo wok as a part of a chain to make everything more efficient.
as an aussie maccas worker, its so funny to see how different the burgers can be in other countries. we make our mcchickens with lettuce and in square clams, and our double cheeseburgers and stuff are all completely different. feels so strange to me tbh
I work the grill and fryers usually, where all the chicken, fish, and beef is cooked and it’s great, at least at the restaurant i work. Sprite isn’t the only custom drink btw, the coca cola in the drive through is different than the lobby and some people will go through the drivethrough just for the coke
@ 0:42 …OMG! Not the cheese paper! Lawd… don’t hurt me like that. Why is this a thing. Cheese goes on the food love! 😂😂 Awesome video! Ima old lady (upper 30’s) and I just put you on while I work and enjoy!
Well, let me give you guys some facts about some things McDonalds related. 1st, this video was obviously recorded quite a bit. As u saw in the start of the video, he put those small onions on the McDouble. Now, the onions are tossed on the meat when it's done cooking. 2nd, he got lucky, he chose a good McDonalds. The McDonalds that I work at, we are super busy, the single most busy restaurant in my town. If he was at mine, it wouldn't of gone this well. 3rd, the only difference between a McDouble and a Double cheeseburger is a singular piece of cheese. A double cheeseburger has 2, whilst a mcdouble has 1, so the price difference is for the one piece of cheese. (Ask me if you have any more questions I can answer for ya).
When I started working for McDonald’s in 1968, there were hamburgers and cheeseburgers, double and double cheese, one size fries, coke, orange drink, 7-up, only n 12 Oz and 16 Oz sizes, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla shakes, apple pie, an ice cream cone that comes frozen, and filet sandwich, and 8 Oz coffee. That was in 1968. I was an assistant maintenance man. I worked 6 8hour days per week on a salary of $75 a week. 35 years later, I was supervisor of 4 restaurants, they had hamburgers, cheeseburgers, quarterpounders with or without cheese, Big Macs, filet, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla shakes and rotated a 4th flavor depending on the time of year. 3 type of salads, apple pies and a rotating second flavor, coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Orange drink, 4 sizes of fries, 5 sizes of drinks, egg McMuffin WTH Canadian bacon or sausage, sausage biscuits with your choice of sausage or bacon and egg, or just sausage biscuit. Breakfast burritos, scrambled egg breakfast, big breakfast, hotcakes with or without sausage, hashbrowns, chicken sandwich, deluxe chicken sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich. Items that came and went on art time of trial markets such as they came out with bagel sandwiches, McRib, cinnamon rolls, 4 kinds of muffins, 4 kinds of danish, with a steamer to heat them up, mushroom and grilled onion burgers, teriyaki burgers, Hawaiian burgers with a slice of pineapple, and many more items I tried on vacations across the country, from mini corn dogs, in Hawaii, they featured rice instead of hashbrowns, and Portuguese sausage instead of McDonal’s blend. Passion fruit and guava juice along with orange juice.
I personally really like the new crispy we have, the bacon ranch. put some cheese on the top, crinkle pickles on the bottom and it's my favorite menu item to make for my lunch break :] I'll be kind of sad when it goes away
As someone who came from a 3 month stay in Korea, They LOVE their hash burgers, theres always a hashbrown burger menu item in all the fast food joints and its SO good.
When Milad started talking about the mystery that has plagued McDonalds' customers since the beginning of time, I thought he was going to talk about why McDonalds' ice cream machines always break down.
That has been answered so many times, don't know where you've been. The machines can only be maintained by a a single company, the workers themselves can't even maintain them, so whenever they need maintenance they have to wait on that company to send someone over which takes forever
@@henrymarenth8645 that's not true. where i live at least we can't make ice creams because the machine goes into heat cycle mode randomly to kill off any bacteria that might be in the shake or sundae milk mix. also the ice cream machine is the same as the shake machine.
I remember seeing Milad in Cedar Grove at the Subway. I ordered a Milad Sub and ate it at the park. I started choking on the chips and my friends were laughing at me. Thanks for the memorable and wholesome experience!
A reason why the soft-drinks taste better at McDonald's is because McDonald's uses a larger amount of syrup when mixing the drink with carbonated water.
I have to wonder, like the BK I work at, is the high fructose corn syrup added to the concreted soda syrup? What I'm talking about are the boxes that say "HFCS" short for high fructose corn syrup.
This is what I like RU-vid for. Literally making food for people who could use it, instead of 'hey here's my million dollar car that hides how trash of a person I am'
the thing that’s so different and makes McDonald’s so freaking good is their items, everything they have is fresh came out from McDonald’s farm then goes to McDonald’s factory and finally goes on trucks straight from the farm to the restaurant and that’s why it tastes so good.
I worked at McDonald's for about 4 months, and honestly, i hated it. I was working 10 dollars a day, they didnt respect me, and I was the target for many of the managers, one of which called me worthless in my face, thankfully I left but it still makes me scowl.
I worked at McDonald’s. The reason the sprite is so much better is because McDonald’s puts more flavor in it. McDonald’s soda is done by use of syrups and they put more syrup flavor on the soda just like they do with the coke. I’m guessing it’s a deal with the company to be allowed to do such a thing. It’s all about the syrup ratio.
