I'm actually here because I was watching an interview with Liam and John and thought "Noel and Ian did it first".I think it sounds much more Stones Roses.Groove.woth an Oasis drift but to be expected as.Ians vocals and Noel guitar
He was also a big fan of the smiths, Johnny marr was his idol and a big inspiration, I think he’d still be playing in a band but the music would be a bit different to what he did with oasis
@@yes-wo7qn well ive read an interview with noel where he says he was having lunch or a beer with ian brown and said ive wrote a song but I sound like you when I sing it. Ian then says give it to me then..
Been a long time. I forgot how fantastic this song is. Noel wrote it, very cool of him to let Ian sing it. But it all works SO WELL. And the last scene, them together: Ian's attitude and charisma, as good as it gets. No one's gonna notice if you're sinking anyway - those who're coming in for free will learn they gotta pay. Aye.
I love the meaning of the song: keep what you’ve got (kindness, generosity, good moral values) by giving it all away (money and/or possessions). Conversely, the opposite applies too: keep what you’ve got (money/possessions) by giving it all away (kindness/generosity).
It means kindness, doesn"t diminish by being shared, a thousand candles can be lighted from one flame & the length of original candle does not diminish.
This song is absolutely brilliant. Noel Gallagher and Ian Brown are both godlike geniuses who write pure amazing songs. I hope Ian Brown at least makes an appearance on the next NGHFB album!
Anxious but can't say no like getting on the wheel of dating again or in circles where drinking is the norm, but u don't partake anymore and ask the gurl out with out dutch courage and said I did that I rly thought I cudn, so go out at live off those moments BC there wholesome and usually lasts the corrected amount of time 😅
One of my favourite songs Ian's solo career has been amazing and also I've been after the Bape jacket he's wearing in this video for years and I've finally found and purchased it today! Winning at life...
The title & chorus are my motto for living my LIFE!Keep what you’ve got, stop being obsessed with shiny pieces of metal or material items of any sort because you do lose a little part of your core moral being every time you do get distracted by materialism! !!REMEMBER WHERE YOU!! !!CAME FROM!!
This song reminds me of recovery. Anyone who has done a 12 step program could really relate to this. You can't keep sobriety without giving it away because those who don't come in for free (to the meetings) well later they are going to pay. The part about feeling that you don't belong hit home also. The song goes over some great spiritual principles, man I'm loving it. I started watching this video after I got into recovery. I have 13 years now and this song still moves me. Blessings to you all...🙏🙌
The coolest dudes on the planet man....in one freaking video?! If I could just dot Paul Weller and Richard Ashcroft in on the street corner......Ah.👌 Ian Brown is always going to be relevant and inspiring; a true visionary. Thank God for musicians like Brown because in the soul destroying current climate of tightly controlled, Simon Cowell/Simon Fuller, manufactured, synthetic, non-organic, music for the dead inside; he's a shining beacon of hope and reassurance. Cheers Mr.Brown.🎵🎸🎶.
At 50 years of age, here in 2020, this makes me feel 18 years old all over again. I'm a product of the 80's and this song could have been released in 1984, it's timeless as all great tracks are. Love love love the gritty video, a signature of Ian Brown.
Everything about Ian is just legendary. One of me all time heros. Definitely one of a kind who sees & speaks the truth. Never shys away from exposing the mass lies that so many are gripped by today. He's one of the people that's got balls of steal & heart of a lion. Never backs down. King Monkey is where it's at.
Bevend M8 there's nothing crazy about mk ULTRA as you can see the song length is 4.32 that's the vibration 432hz the 💜 chakra 4+3+2 is 9 have you never heard of the Magick number 9 ???... clearly you know nothing about the occult but hey why would you when the word means hidden knowledge videos Bases 30 Cathi Morgan MK Ultra in Britain Part One - RU-vid [1:34:27] ( m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-reQ8g1jtR8o.html ) I suggest you do some research on a subject before you dismiss something without investing it because to call me crazy means you have cognitive dissonance...it's a government project to monitor gifted children...thank you
A masterpiece. The melodic line and the timing between the phrasing of Ian's getting off the main beat on purpose. The cadence and everything about the well produced record. They captured a nice texture on ian's voice. This is timeless. Congratulations. We miss these masterminds releasing great songs. We were blessed to live and listen through the music of the 90s.
THE FIRST MUSICIAN TO PUT BAPE ON THE MAP NOT PHARREL, NO DISRESPECT MEANT, LOVE NERD, IANS A TREND SETTER THOUGH SINCE THE 80S, NOEL ROCKING HIS CP COMPANY - TYPICAL NORTHERN SWAG , PROUD TO BE A NORTHERNER - HOPE THIS ALBUMS GONNA DROP THIS YEAR
Ian Brown's solo career has been amazing, even with all the Roses baggage he's made some brilliant albums. 'Golden Greats' and 'Music of the Spheres' were fantastic, even better than 'Stone Roses', I think all his solo stuff tops 'Second Coming', a great character, unique vocalist/musician and a modern poet.
Britsva I loved 'Stone Roses', played it death, still play it now but since its release I've regularly played 'Golden Greats'. It still blows me away now and at the time it was a whole new sound for Ian. 'Music Of The Spheres' is pretty amazing as well and 'The World Is Yours' is a damn good album. It's not like he's unknown but I think he doesn't get the props he deserves and a lot of that's to do with the shadow of the Roses. I honestly prefer him as a solo artist.
I think a lot of that has to do with the UK music press, They need to let go of the Stone Roses baggage I reckon. Anytime they mention him it's always "Former stone roses front man Ian Brown" ect. But we all know who he is so why keep shoveling his past on his shoulders. I would get it if he had done sweet FA since Stone Roses and they needed an anchor point for the young'uns reading that maybe didn't experience his music. But that's not the case. Never mind the fact he most likely has the strongest following of any artist I've seen and seems to me people genuinely love his music and him! I definitely prefer him solo, King Monkey has helped me get through some rough times.
U gotta love the point in this vid where these two meet and hug each other on the corner it’s like mutual respect is just justified ( rightly so aswell) they made the early 90 ,s for me they just produced great sounds
Ian Brown, My God An Angel must have broken their wings man as I watch you still perhaps for nostalgia and a deeper understanding of where we all came from peace to you brothers.
I can honestly say that this song is on a constant loop in my car. I have been known to make myself late for work by sitting in the car and waiting to do the 'Aii' into the car mirror.
