They want you to take a video selfie. And it's unbelievable how not many people are talking about that. Is there another way to claim benefits, without taking a video selfie? If you do a call with a referee, will they still need to take a video of yourself for their records? A driver's license should be enough, but apparently not.
And what's as bad -- you might not have needed to even be involved with them. This is also a total diversion from where you actually need to be in a government process. Disgusting.
I tried to do it the first time online but hoped to avoid this step because I just find it disturbing and unconstitutional. What happened to our right of privacy?? I went to the office to see if I could forgo the eye scan, but to my surprise they had changed the office to accommodate this process. So more computers for face/eye scanning. I tried there to do it but saw this faint scan trying to get my eye scan and having trouble repeatedly. I was extremely uncomfortable and asked to opt out of it, but they said there is no other option. Me showing up with my SS and drivers ID isn't enough anymore? My photo is current as well. Isn't there a way around this? A form perhaps I don't know of? A greater pending laws suit I can join that is just not being broadcasted? I find this frustrating and again unconstitutional! It is too easy for a company to be sold to a larger company or country that is not trust worthy. 😖
Why can't the UIA have the claimant upload directly to THEIR system? Why upload to some other agency? I don't get it. Is the assumption that a criminal would provide false ID to the UIA but somehow think twice about providing that same false ID to this company? Doesn't make sense. At all.
