Congrats!!! Looking forward to the new videos, HB will eventually release a ST Modern Plus and a ST182 (inspired on the Blink-182 Fender model of course) which seem to have great specs! They mentioned Q1 when they presented them last September but still not out, really excited about those models

That was interesting to hear about you sacking guitar off. I done the same, albeit for different reasons than yourself and for quite a bit longer. I only picked it up again like 2 years ago or something like that. I started lessons somewhat recently and i'm absolutely loving it!

Amazing man, thank you as always for the dope content, and yeah the only reason I still look at the big brands when browsing guitars is that they seem to have exactly what I want, while HB seems to be more in the “I really wish they had this pickup config in this finish”

Again, congrats on the 5k. 🎉 Can't think of a sophisticated question, so let's go with a simple one. Fixed bridge, non-locking vibrato, or locking bridge? Oh, talk about bridges, and if you're going to do a budget guitar upgrade video, maybe you should try the Wilkinson Locking saddles, if the bridge is a Fender or Gotoh style vibrato bridge. The saddles looks to have the benefits of the ease of string changes of classic vibrato bridge and the locking of Floyd/Edge bridge.

I feel you 100% on taking a break can actually help you realize how much you actually love doing something. also loved the anecdote about being a cringey teenager in a band 😂 so real. and the whole "not being able to tell if you have good stlye because it's you" thing is beyond relatable for skateboarding too. your love for playing guitar & making music is so easy to see in these videos, and I can't wait to see the 10k sub video!! Thanks so much man, that really does mean a ton to me. Still a ways to go though! Erm, it’s hard to say. I come from a product photography background so that definitely helped but videography is still really new to me. I kind of just have ideas ‘what if this was lit here?’ Or ‘how do I do this editing thing?’ And try them out or find tutorials. It’s all been trial and error tbh! Thanks again bro 🤘

@@JackTaylorGuitars cool man I like the vibe of your videos. Only thing I'd really want to see improve is the lighting on your face seems a little dark. I've heard that diffusers can work wonders on harsh light sources. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the suggestion man! I actually think the same and I'm finding it a bit hard to balance that moody look with decent lighting. If I put a diffuser in this room it'll swallow it up haha That said, I've overhauled the whole thing. Hopefully you'll see when I start posting again in a couple of weeks. Let me know 🤘

For the budget guitars, I would suggest(as a selective person, I am biased towards Ibanez guitars) RG370DXZ, I would like to see you do a re-finish job with matching neck and headstock, along with some EMG pickups and tuners upgrade!

By the way your story about your Dad was beautiful bro! I started playing because of my Dad. He taught me nothing else matters and quite a lot of chords so I really appreciate him for that. Jack you’re right I do want to sound like several of my favourite guitarists . I also want to sound like me though ! The guys from Contortionist , Dir en grey, king crimson and a lot more inspire me . You are also an awesome dude ! Of course! When I listened to your EP I felt so inspired because I realise " if Jack can do it , so can I!" I know that may sound daft but I mean it ! I know that it's all just numbers and at the end of the day I'm just happy that people want to watch your videos and people like watching my guitar playing too! I possibly wouldn't have bought my favourite guitar if it were nor for you dude. The Strandberg. So that's pretty damn special to me. And if someone else reads this 😂nooo Jack didn't donate a guitar to me! It's wonderful that you've released the vinyl of your album dude. I wanted to buy one but right now I do not have the funds. I love the design of it. I own one album and that's colours by Between the Buried and Me! Not only is it insanely heavy and I have to wear headphones to listen 😂( my cat isn't a fan of scream vocals) .. but I do love that band.

best budget guitar is Harley Benton. Some budjet guitars let themselves down by putting on crap tuners and nuts - which dont cost that much for a decent ones.

Imho, if you pass the low budget threshold (400/500$), most value per guitar = Used gear Srsly, there's so much stuff that's almost embarassing

You're 100% right dude and I'm definitely gonna venture into showing what's available 2nd hand. The main idea with the budget guitars is to show off what's out on the market so it's available to everyone.
