As time goes on, Whisper just keeps proving that she is my favourite Sonic character. Her debut already left a great impression on me with her design, personality and choice of weapon (Wisps) and this mini series is just making me love her more. Can't wait to see her backstory in the next issue.
Mimic's taunting was a rather below-the-belt move on his end. Whisper's interaction is so organic in this issue when she is forced to explain why she wants tangle to leave. To her, the cycle of grief will just repeat itself if she develops close connections, much like she did when 3 of their teammates were killed by Mimic's betrayal. Mimic, all in all, was evil, and a rather effective villain when he teases and taunts whisper in their confrontation, and (almost) mimic other people vocally or physically.
@@billtenth5805 Maybe, but I prefer if Eggman had more Mobians working for him besides Dr. Starline. Also, I think it would be more beneficial for Mimic to exclusively work for The Eggman Empire, because he will get good equipment and a safe place to hide and hang out in away from Whisper, Tangle and anybody who want's to catch him.
Fun fact this is the 3rd time they’ve used “crap” in the comics. After Tangle and Whisper get out off the safe Tangle actually says crap. I also like how Tangle has a fear of tight spaces, like how Sonic has a fear of water and Blaze has a fear of heights.
Sweet video as always, Matt. BTW, I'd like to point out that Tangle said "crap", this marks the third time a character said it in the comics. Also, Scratch and Grounder make a little cameo on the same panel where Whisper left Mimic to go save Tangle. You also forgot to mention the Sonic Boom easter egg from the last issue. See yu next time! -JMM
Mimic is a mimic octopus, a species of Octopus that can use an Octopuses innate camouflage and somewhat fluid shape to... well, mimic other sea creatures, usually poisonous or dangerous ones. Admittedly, he's the wrong colour but Sonic characters rarely are. Edit: This is why we watch the full video first folks! Sorry.
This mini-series is getting better and better. Tangle and Whisper really make a good combination; I admit if I was Tangle I would probably do the same irrational move of splitting and go to high ground BUT I would try to be close to Whisper so that if she was in trouble I could attack from the air. Whisper is getting a great focus here, and I only hope that her backstory next issue will tell us what made her a silent lone wolf. Mimic is a truly evil character and we really need this kind of villain here; with a combo of tongue, strategy and shape shifting he could become a great adversary for the heroes (I wonder what would happen in a fight between him and Silver or Knuckles), if he ever survives the deadly virus.
considering Indiana survived falling from a plane in a life-raft (temple-of-doom) surviving a nuke in a lead lined fridge is perfectly in line with that universe's logic. Nether of those would work in real life, of course.
Heh, good review, Mimic is a surprisingly dark individual which actually brings tension to the story. Finally I can fully say the story is interesting to me.
Indeed blue wind I plan on buying these issues and even from the main run after the zombie apocalypse is over.... Not that I didn't like the arc it's just I'm waiting for the next arc! It seems interesting....
4:15 reminds me of eclipse and previous issue it was SCOURGE! Why is this happening. FYI I love Whisper the concept of the character is brilliant. You can tell they really develop her more than tangle.
whisper is becoming more deeper of character as the comics go on can we just have both tangle and whisper in the games? no one well get mad sega hell a spinoff game be cool
3:10 i just had a thought! Sense tangle is like sonic maybe her having claustrophobia is like her version of sonic fear of aqua phobia (aka fear of water)
