The pain seems to be worse every day, it's been a month, I was and am convinced she was the one, nobody else has ever made me feel that way in 27 years, through multiple relationships. Always great work. Love to hear more about how trauma is triggering our responses the often push our partners away. We can get to a point where the good is so good but the bad makes us/them want to leave. I know this is more personal work on ourselves compared to getting an ex back but I’m really just trying to be a better person.

Hey Craig, I've seen your video on THE ANXIOUS-AVOIDANT TRAP, and at the time, I thought my ex was avoidant. Now, I suspect that she might actually have an anxious attachment style, like me. I'm not an expert, but either way, I think people could benefit from a video over what an ANXIOUS-ANXIOUS RELATIONSHIP looks like. Looking back on my relationship, the word CODEPENDENT came up during serious conversations multiple times throughout the nearly 3 years we dated. This keeps me going and realizing I’m a wonderful partner. I think about the moments I had with them and what I wished for. But damn, he’s crazy because I know ima catch. It still bums me out of course. Although, I know I deserve better. A man who would never let me go and treats me like a princess.

They may come back but they break that trust and bond everytime they leave. You go through weeks or months of intense pain, then they come back when they feel that pain and so they never truly suffer like the dumpee. Then they never change because to change needs great suffering.

3 weeks NC and the days where its hard hit HARD. Things changed so quickly and I thought I was doing the right things, but I feel so depressed when it hits because weve been dealing with each other all year and dated for 2 years a few years ago and thought this time we were on the right path. Her life changed with work, now school, and has medical/hormonal issues due to a medicine she's on. She said that despite all that they she doesnt feel like she doesnt want us anymore. And while Im ok with failure in a relationship, this feels off, hurtful, and sudden esp since Ive been giving her space/room to deal with her shifting life.

I wish I had this video about a few weeks ago. My ex has bread crumb me in the past couple weeks, I played it cool initially but got eager too quick by asking her out to lunch. Now she's back to being cold & ignoring me, I'm back to NC. Next time, I'll be it more cool & take more time with the reconnect.

If u break that’s mean u must not be together because that inestability it’s going to affect a future child... When am ex reach means she is insecure, don’t mean that she wants you again, learn the difference. What i mean u must not came back with your ex, but you need to realize this alone, understand that a break up show that she or he is bad quality relation woman or man that’s not going to bring you joy forever and a good child growth. Coach, I was 35 days NC and I updated my phone one morning and it resent messages that didn't go through to my ex. The next day she reached out and I explained to her what happened. It was short n respectful. Its been a week since, I didn't wish her happy birthday a few days ago, I started NC right after the messages ended. She's in a rebound relationship. He broke up with me last Monday, we left on good terms and I texted him only twice: The first time telling him he should give me back the keys and he can put them in my mailbox. The second time was a day later telling him I have put his stuff downstairs, the keys are in the mailbox and he should get it as soon as possible. It doesn't hurt as much anymore, I just feel very empty now and I miss him a lot but I try my best with just moving on and working on myself. We didnt break up completely and our space was for him to find himself, prioritise his kids, and juggle ridiculous work hours. I treat this space as a "break up" because I dont know if he wants to come back or not. I applied No Contact this time, I know he has deep feelings for me but he isnt ready for a relationship, it will never work this time. He needs to fix himself which I trust he can, I love him and I am willing to leave him alone for him to get better on his own. I respect his decision. back in december is told the DA that if there's no commitment then we're done talking after 4yrs. He was upset but we went NC. I moved on with someone new. The DA reached out and said hi two weeks ago. today is his bday. I have not reached out. I know he'll reach out within a few days. it's a pattern. we'll see but I really don't want to hear from him. i chased for 4 years for his rejection. now, he puts me in a position to reject him and I hate that feeling. I wanted him so bad or I thought I did. If he wins over my new person I know he'll still take me for granted. I'm heartbroken

My ex moved out over a year ago but moved just 2 blocks away. Her dog attacked my son and instead of doing something with the dog she moved down the street. She wanted to keep her stuff at my place so she could stay with me some of the time and have a place for her dog, her dog costing her 3 times the rent and basically unraveling our relationship. When I said I didn't like that she cut me off. A few months later I went to talk to her and she freaked out and said she bought a camera and I have no business coming by her place.. I maybe saw her twice over a couple months. To this day it's still WTF?? It was a good relationship with no abuse or infidelity and we got along well. It has leveled me completely.

Is it okay to tell them you have no feelings for them? He broke up with me and I went NC for a month, he reached out and I lost my cool so he blocked me. I apologized and told him i "didn't have feelings anymore and just wanted to put the past behind" then I went NC again. He came back after a month he's been talking to me again, just in a friendly way. We're not exactly friends but we're okay around each other. He's immature and had a depressive episode for 2 months which lead to the break up, but he's fine now.

I have a complicated one. Nut shell in love with a girl ...she lives with her BF...we have a connection...I have a GF...so it’s all wrong...but yeah we go through periods of no contact...lock down has helped with this! However to love some one you can’t have is horrendous. It’s always there the feelings...thoughts...constant thinking. Exhausted actually. Better days ...bad low days...more low than good. I think about her every single day. I feel like its almost unhealthy lol. We broke up last Nov. She left me for another man who got her pregnant and is taking care of her. She hasnt reached out to me in like 4 months now. Her and I were together for 5 years. I still struggle emotionally due to her absence in my life, although it would be painful to have her bread crumb me especially that she has a baby with the guy she left me for. I really messed up today. My ex said happy birthday to me, my heart opened and my head closed. I put money on her gas and electricity because I still have online access to the metre. That wasn't the worst part. I admitted to how I feel still. And she replied that's not her fault. That annoyed me and I said she had no compassion and her being upset about not being able to afford a new kitten isn't comparable to me being on my own on my birthday. I have watched your birthday related video but I have a condition known as idiocy. And my emotions clouded my judgement.

I was fine for about 5 months, but for some reason today I just feel bad. It's not as bad as it was at first, I just feel lonely. The whole covid business has kept me from meeting new people and I feel like I'm getting isolated. I have family and friends around me, but I still feel alone sometimes

Hi Craig my girlfriend and I broke up at the beginning of July, I think it was a ling time coming as my communication skills really went to sh1t over the past year, this as well as her kissing another guy in January. I was no contact for a little over 2 months and she sent me a letter saying she wish things hadn't ended so soon and that she wanted to see me "when the time is right". We went for a walk in the park and I made her laugh and teased her and we both agreed to see each other again soon but then she went cold, she seemed distant and didnt reply to me for a week so I decided to go no contact again which was over the past 2 weeks. It's been since Dec 8th he moved out. 4 5 yr relationship off and on because he was wish washy. I havent heard from him at all. at the end he became violent and aggressive, so I called the cops. He doesn't take responsibility for his actions and blames me. Did you say that no more than a year is the time frame to reach out from him? I haven't reached out, and he blocked me.
