7 R System 1. Reverse engineer - who is your channel actually for? - reaching everybody is reaching nobody - what problem does my channel solve? - failing to plan is planing to fail 2. Research - crafting title (keyword research through vidiQ & google search bar) - research other creators - winning the battle before it starts - video will have more intentionality, strategy and insight 3. Record - with strategy - be brief, bright, fun & done - edit if you want 4. Release - title, thumbnail, description, tags, added to playlist, post ✅ 5. Rocket + rank - share on community tab - off platform opportunities like building a big e-mail list 6. Review (analytics) - eventually gets important - analytics shows what worked 7. Repeat + - success leaves clues make part 2s - what are the best vids? 8. Repurpose - clip your videos up and make a short of it, social media - working smart not hard - eventually very useful Start slow. Punch fear/perfectionism in the face. Press record. Don’t rush/ get overwhelmed, but this is a good structure/system. Master these 7 Rs over time by making videos. Let’s do this, everyone! It’s meow or never. 😻🙏✨
Thank you. This comment was more useful than the video itself. I hate when RU-vidrs put time stamps (or dont’t) and they don’t actually tell you what the steps are in the time stamp so you have to watch the video for the viewing time. It’s a stupid RU-vidr tactic. I did watch the entire video, but when I went back to review the steps, I got the stupid step 1, step 2,….
New RU-vidr here in the Travel sector. I created my last year (Jan 2023) and so far, have received 1.2 million Views in total from both long and short videos. I Learned alot from all the Think Media Channels. Thank you! Good luck to all the newbies!
I love Shaun's videos I'm trying my best to make incremental changes to my videos, thumbnails and trigger the algorithm. Take a look. How can I improve?
so clever how you used the video of 2023 for 2024, added the word "2024" and cut the clip right before "4" so smart. This advice is so good and timeless!
2024 NEEDS to be the year l start a RU-vid channel!!!! l’m a digital crafter, with so many hints, tips and ideas, that l want to share, and then think about instagram/tiktok…thank you, that video came just at the right time!!! Need to face the fear!!! 👍🏻
I’m a creator, but I started in TT & grew my account. Now I want to start a YT & repurposing my content was the best way to start!! 300 subscribers isn’t “a lot” but for not having to put more time into creating I’LL TAKE IT. Thank you for this, been taking notes like crazy on your videos, such great information!! 👏🏼
My son and I appreciate you..✊🏾We watch this video till we memorize it word for word.Thank you for sharing your proven ways and not gatekeeping like some of these content. We won't forget this week
We're definitely going to be knuckling down and researching more before posting our new videos. Incredibly important to know your target audience before even posting. Keen to make our videos even more impactful for trade and contract business owners. Thank you Think Media!
Much appreciation for creators like you for teaching smaller channels the ropes of gaining a bigger audience. Videos like this helped me grow my channel to 100 subs in a month (much more than I expected lol) and gives me hope for getting monetized by the end of the year 🙌🏾 I only have 3 videos out now but I’ve been working on my consistency cause I know that’s a big part of what it takes if not the most important. Glad that I’ve at least got the ball rolling now though 🔥
I needed this reminder. I am getting overwhelmed with how much there is to do in limited time, especially on multiple platforms. I love creating RU-vid, I just need to be smart about how I can condense my content into smaller chunks that make steps 2-4 much quicker so I can see organic growth.
Nice! A timely, slightly edited re-post of the same video from 2023. The great part is... this video is impacting people and I doubt that anyone else noticed. Plus, you gotta do that "Reuse" R. Great work Think Media! - Eli
This will be my fifth time trying. This time I’m actually going to stay consistent and try even if I hate a video I make. My biggest fear is recording and getting silence/no views. The most frustrating part is all that work but no interaction or interest from viewers.
thank you for sharing with us the formula to help us towards our online success !! gonna start working on baby steps to lead me towards growing a youtube channel
I’m making a pivot away from my gaming channel going into next year. I uploaded once a week for an entire year. Saw some awesome growth but my main take away was learning how to edit, structure and package content. This next year I’m gonna try and produce the content that I’m truly passionate about 🎉
I am nearly completing my pivot away from what my channel has been (transportation) to gaming, and I’ve not yet monetized my channel. What lessons have you learned from running a gaming channel that I can keep in mind so that I can be successful in it?
I uploaded my first video this year and I’m so glad I did it there’s a feeling you get what I’ve never experienced gonna keep going cos I just love making content 😊 hope everyone has a great year
This channel is amazing. I bought my equipment with the help of this channel and I’m glad I started my channel yesterday. Thanks for all the work you put in.
Great video. Starting and growing your channel is definitely the toughest part, but the thing is that you need to give viewers the content they want to see, the content they can't live without. Same like business owners give people products they need in their life. Also you have to stay hard working and consistent (and you should also use a little bit of Famester to make everything a lot easier. For me, it feels like I am in control of everything and I don't need to worry about algorithms anymore). Good luck to everybody.

I always enjoying watching these type of videos as it just reinforces what needs to be done, reminds me that it is not easy as some ppl would have you believe and motivates me to carry on. Cheers!
This is so right on point. I wish I saw this before uploading my first video last night. I was doing it totally different. Thanks for the reco, yt! Yt knows what I need 💯
I have been following you for a few years. This video hit home when you finally used a fishing channel for an example! There are many and it's hard to compete with these huge channels.
For me, i love video editing, it' become like playing a video game to me. I'm currently struggling with learning how to use my voice while recording. I don't want to sound like i'm down, but don't want to sound like im trying too hard to put energy in my voice. I also don't have structure when making my videos. I just be going as i edit, thinking of the next thing to say in my videos. I still have moments where i just rush the video cause i don't have structure, and can't think of what to say next. While editing, i be having feeling like i should rush, instead of taking my time to make sure i do everything i need to. These are things im struggling with currently, and just wanted to be open for those who read this, and going through similar things like me. Got to keep going, and be consistent !
You guys always give such great and helpful information. I'm doing it ugly right now and I still need more practice and a editor. But I'm not letting fear hold me back
Just recently restarted my cleaning channel, and even though I haven't gotten any views on my videos that I posted, I will keep trying! Wish me luck! 😭 I am hoping I can be successful with YT!
Lol I love how the last sticky note for "Repurpose" flips between having tape and not having tape in the different shorts 5:40-6:15 ... I'm sure you did so much takes that the glue from the sticky note wore off... I respect the grind!!
I really love the idea of the purpose of using Think Media Podcast to create long form videos than getting clips from those long term, evergreen videos into shorter videos. That is indeed very smart and definitely a proper path.
Same :) Just planned the "media presence" for 2024 and keep surfing over those kind of videos... But I think we should try. Nothing to loose for trying, except embarrassment if any of friends gonna see the first vid xD
2024 NEEDS to be the year l start a RU-vid channel!!!! i've been hesitating for too long but i am just going to go for it this year and no ONE is stoping me so if you saw this it's a sign to do what you want NOW
I am now realizing that I have watched this channel from when you didn't have grew hair videos to grew hair but it seems I am not growing. This is a punch. I will not promise that 2024 will be the year but it's a decision.
I started my own few tears ago, at first; i didnt take it serious, but now i am dedicating my time, Resource and Energy just to see my channel grows. Wish me luck guys. and help me with meaningful advices that will help me in boosting my channel.

I love AI & blockchain Tech, Agriculture, Self Development, plantbased lifestyle, health, money. I will feel limited if i limit myself to only 1 on the above things I've mentioned. How do i go about starting a YT Channel including ALL of the above? I LOVE ALL of them. Or should i have a podcast instead to cover all the above topics? Someone please advise. Thank you
Im thinking about it as second business as it plays well with my down time. Only thing is it is always better to focus on one thing monitarily. Need new computer first though!
@@happycorn3r I think after further thought I'm gonna get started. Certainly the business planning stage :) I will need to experiment to see if my current computer can create anything passable 😂 It struggles to record smoothly.
Wow! This video was made for me! I have a bass fishing channel that is just “ok” but I want it to pop! My subs are stagnant and likes are terrible. I will keep going and use this advice to improve it. Thank you!!!!!
I started in May! Was very inconsistent as I burnt out after I hit 1k subs and 4000 hours… Setting more long term goals now Next stop: 5k End of 2024: 10k
Thanks for your amazing tips ✌🏻! They were super helpful for me as someone passionate about music, playing with rhythm, diving into the world of hits, and spreading energetic vibes across the globe. 😊❤
Thank you for the video. I am on the 1st R. I have no idea what to make my channel about. I am convincing my son to create a channel with me (he is in his late 20s), I just have no idea what it would be about or why anyone would want to watch? This video helped me stay focused on that very first step as I tend to be all over the place, recording random things. Thanks! 😀
