I’ve decided to simply go for it using my iPhone 12 Pro to record and post some messy videos at the start. I’m learning as I go along. I try to watch successful RU-vidrs and see what they’re doing and think how I could do better, with my own stamp on it. I finally found my niche and I post faceless travel videos and can now edit my videos and improve the quality of my content.

It’s ok, we’ve all started out not having a clue. You can learn as you go along and you’ve started which is great. Brush up on your film and editing skills and you’re on your way.
One of the advices I learned is that you have to think like your viewers, make your videos fun to watch as if you were watching another persons video. My explanation is bad but you guys get it.
If I would have to start again on YT, I just wouldn't waste months to get recognized by couple hundred people. When I discovered I could trigger organic growth after getting first 1k subs using different online services (for example, like a little bit of Famester) my life just got easier and my main channel exploded. People are just looking at the numbers when searching for some content. If you have low subs no one cares about you even if you have best content on platform.
I just started my RU-vid channel , Jenovia and it's very hard to push through cuz I'm speaking in Eng and not my native language. Most Ppl here doesn't like that 😓. My target audience is the foreign ppl, I talk about my culture's lifestyle and food. But I'm not getting much attention cuz I'm still very small.

Probably because I've consumed soooo many hours of videos of pros who are trying to help the rest of us that I'm sure I'll look silly AF! Fact is, unless I'm lucky enough to hit a RU-vid "nerve" & go "viral" or even semi-viral ...very, very few people are going to even see my first 30, 40 ....100 "episodes". The best advice I learned is to just be authentic. You know the viral channels without editing and thumbnails? All this is not necessary when the viewer can establish a connection to you. Each of us has a personality that attracts others. We just have to show it uncensored and finally take off our masks. Try to do it better this year. Btw here are tools I use: Create title and description (Gemini) Optimise SEO (Tubebuddy) Cutting (Vegas pro + Capcut) Recording talking head (iPhone XS Max) Microphone (Rode NT-Usb) Recording screen (OBS Studio) Create thumbnail (Canva) I hope this helps someone. Imagine someone starting a new sport trying to be a professional athlete! It will be messy early on, it takes practice, courage and determination! The athlete has to adapt constantly to grow and get better. It’s the same with RU-vid. Just start and then adapt, grow and go for it! You got this! 🤗🦋
I finally posted my first video on my other channel yesterday. I think it’s doing pretty good. It’s a Christian channel and although I’m so excited to share the gospel on RU-vid, my focus is currently on posting shorts which make hardly any money and generally get a bad reputation from creators. So although I’m so excited to share the gospel I have no idea how I’m going to make money in the future with this. I’m not trying to get rich but I would like to make at least a little something in the future. Maybe I’m over thinking this.
You should drive the traffic you get from youtube (once you are more consistent and have a decent audience) to paid products or offerings. If you have a coaching/consulting business that is somewhat related to your niche or a course/digital product , you can promote this in your videos once you get a loyal following. This way you have a steady pipeline of leads and customers, without having to rely on youtube ad revenue which is hit or miss.
This is absolutely great advice! I 100% agree. So many entrepreneurs suffer from analysis paralysis, I have had the opportunity to get to see this first hand in different sectors, Keep up the great content 👍
I started my RU-vid channel last week. I have recorded 3 videos, but i don't have courage to post them. Im recorded using my phone. Im very encouraged by the remarks i have read in the comments section
This was so good, courage is a big one for me. I'm trying to keep myself from putting the videos up and then getting nervous and deleting them after! I've put up probably ten videos but keep getting in my head. so I'm working on that lol.
You can do it! Make those videos public again, they are an opportunity to lean and get better from the data you collect!. You are judging yourself more thank anyone.
I tell that negative voice in my head to sit down and shut up. You don’t have to be ‘perfect.’ People love it when you are down to earth and real. Be YOU. Ships weren’t made to sit in the harbor. If you have something on your heart, it would be wise to share it. It will likely be hard at first but will get easier with time. Put it out there and let the chips fall where they may. If one troll says we suck doesn’t mean someone else couldn’t get something out of your contribution. You don’t have to be an ‘expert’ - you can ADD TO THE CONVERSATION about your topic. You can’t please all the people all the time. It may seem impossible to do but you are stronger than you think. Did you know Gary Vee NEVER watches his content? You need to ask yourself how much you are dwelling on watching your own stuff. You will be your harshest critic. Why put yourself through that? If you are a good person and you have something to say - Spit it out - d*mmit! There are people that want to hear what you have to say! You don’t have the right to hide the light that God put inside of you. He gave your voice to you for a reason. 💕
When start becoming a RU-vidr do not be a entertainer. It is best for you and your money and your sanity to be an educator. When you become a RU-vidr be a finance educator, I have a save money channel. Where are you uploading video showing that you’re saving money or do videos educating people about finance and financial literacy.

I really liked it when you said that it takes an average of 2.5 business starts for one to succeed. Having this reference takes the weight off of my own natural psychology that automatically blames myself for not succeeding.

I started few years ago and seeibg very small results i gave up and i regret because i think what if i didn't give up maybe today i would have a big community so here i am again today about to get back at it and this time i will try my best to not give up again

A lot of people who find this video aren't asking what content to make. They're looking for a step by step guide to starting a new account from scratch in order to post the content they already have, how to choose keywords, reach more viewers, get more subscribers. These people will find this video utterly useless. You're telling people how to decide what content to make. Completely different problem.
Started beginning of June, no subscribers or views yet, but I’m learning as I go. Momentum builds over time is what I’ve heard Sean say so it’s going to happen for me either way as long as I don’t stop. Instead of focusing on the goal of monetization and all that, I’m learning to pour into my videos and leveling up the skill. Good luck to us newcomers

I have not started yet, but here is the biggest tip I got ESPECIALLY FOR SHORTS: Make something people want to watch, not what you think you did cool. Would you want to watch somebody dance for 3 minutes on tiktok. If you would, go for it, you know what people like in that type of content. If you wouldn't, start a different topic
No, your first video won't suck if you have a decent gear (camera, lens, lights, teleprompter etc.). I've made my first video with a good gear which I knew how to use, bought every required stuff. First I couldn't speak to the camera but I bought a teleprompter and learned how to speak as naturally as possible while reading a text, I wrote a decent script as well. I purchased a udemy course about premiere pro and video editing (costed about 10$), I made an intro, a hook, b-rolls, couple of effects and cuts for keeping the retention, outro with wrapup, I've provided value, made a color grading etc etc etc. No one could ever tell it was a first video of an amateur youtuber. Of course it wasn't perfect, it's not flexing. It's not easy, it's hard, but possible. So NO! NO NO NO NO NO! Your first video will suck if you are too lazy to make the required effort and you don't have a gear at all.
I just did it...I started over a month ago...7 videos...and I'm just about ready to quit....I don't know if everyone is cut out for it. I keep saying don't quit. But man.....

I have just joined the AWIN affiliate marketing programme and they have sent me some code to download and then upload it to my RU-vid channel to verify that I own the channel. However, there are no instructions about how or where to paste this code onto my channel. Can you help please? Many thanks.

Can creators submit for audits? I am at a loss trying to figure out what's wrong with my reach.. I had a month of bad content at the start of my channel in september 2023 and posting every single day since then EVERYTHING is ignored. I am completely dark. I have 30k followers on instagram after two months... so what's going on?

I took the risk and started a new channel and RU-vid’s not pushing my videos at all like I get zero reach so how am I gonna get views if RU-vid doesn’t push my videos?
