The Salamenders and just like metal heads, they are really just looking for friends. Link to the original video: - Follow me on Instagram @jack_jfit bit.ly/2REfI4a
When I describe the whole appearance of the Salamanders thing I basically just say "If you've ever seen an old picture of a Victorian era chimney sweeper imagine that, their skin is literally that color"
The most practical way to employ the Sisters of Battle: 1. March out near the enemy trenches. 2. Take deep breath. 3. Point to said enemy. 4. Shout *"HERETIC"* 5. Get out of the way as fast as your legs can carry and watch the firey mess that follows.
10:54, Filipinos being the black people of Asia is a new one to me. I’ve always seen us as the Mexicans of Asia, which is kinda funny as we were the only Spanish Colony in Asia, afaik.
No that’s Polynesians that are considered the black people of Asia. Or an Asian Africa. Y’know what they say,”once you go Samoan it’s their names you’ll be moanin”(moaning)I just made that up. I just hope it’ll make you giggle :)
If your planet had giant lizard's and was constantly on fire, your damn well better be as metal as hell! No one wants to be off theme, it'd be embarrassing.
Emps being confused about the Salamanders skin color could be a reference to the discrepancy between older and newer official artwork of the Salamanders. I don't think Games Workshop settled on one for certain, so some think the Salamanders have natural black skin, or that coal skin.
When they first appeared during the Armageddon campaign they had one squad and a captain painted. The sergeant was Caucasian and the captain was a brown but blonde aka reasonably normal coloration. Some years later they introduced the lore that they have jet black skin but the paintjob remained kinda normal skin tones, if darker. Games Workshop likes to change things a lot.
I can already hear the screams of despair and madness from the imperials when you misidentified the salamanders, and everytime I see or hear the name Goge Vandire I can't stop thinking of Doge Vandire
I love the Dark Angels, the guys at the end, one of my favourite chapters. Azrael's depiction is way out of character, far more than most. He's actually a massive smart arse and sass mouth, and very level headed.
There’s a loop of the salamanders chanting vulkan lives over and over again . If you listen to it long enough it sounds like they’re saying “f-ing Nids!” Also Magnus is described as having a bronze or ruddy Copper skin tone pre-demon hood
Space marines at the end are The First, they are the Dark Angels chapter. Chapter Grand Master Azrael, Grand Master Belial of Deathwing (1st Company) and Master Interrogator-Chaplain Asmodai. (There’s also Grand Master of the Ravenwing (2nd company) Sammael who’s not here, and these two wings are what remains of the Hexagrammaton that they had when they were Legion before the Codex) They are an incredibly shadowed chapter, full of secret orders and societies, having great distrust of the organs of the imperium. Only the alpha legion is more secretive. Loyal, but barely codex compliant, for the better. Favourite chapter.
How best to use the Sister's Sororitas in Battle: Point at your enemy in the middle of the field and yell HERETIC. The Sister's will then do the rest lmao.
Hey man, a persons a person and not defined by their skin color so don’t worry about it. It’s your character that matters and your a pretty kick ass guy.
“The yes, I mean no” answer by the emperor is because in his infinite wisdom he knows that the company that creates his universe depends on selling mini figures reliant on aesthetic it means that chapters that sell get new stuff. And they are reliant in our ancient primitive idea of cool to survive so yeah it kinda matters and doesn’t what a chapter looks like
With those pictures of the ladies from the Congo, something that has always stood out to me is that once the skin hits a certain level of darkness it seems to look more like it’s... sculpted? Or something, since like in the pictures it seems so shiny and smooth. Maybe that’s just a picture thing with the lighting, but I vaguely remember it being like that with the one or two fellows I met from that region... although their skin wasn’t as smooth as the ladies.
I love the Salamanders. A) because they actually give a crap about civilians (human and Xenos), and B) they look like monsters (burnt black skin, glowing red eyes, use fire and have dragon motifs) but constantly prove they are humans in the end. Great stories by Nick Kyme if you are interested.
The Dark Angels, aka the 1st Legion, is one of the biggest parent chapters among the Adeptus Astartes. While they are technically a Chapter nowadays as per the Codex Astartes, they may have the biggest and mightiest force ever as every successor Chapter under their banner still maintains stong connections. They are practically a Space Marine Legion in all but name, with a lot of troops and weaponry to their name. Their biggest flaw lies in how desperate it's Inner Circle is to maintain their pedigree as one of the loyalists and they had their share of dissidents shortly after the Horus Heresy where Luther rebelled against the Dark Angels. These traitors are scattered all throughout time and space since their homeworld was destroyed and they were branded as the Fallen. Their goal is to capture every Fallen, torture them for repentance before they put them out of their misery.
17:05 I think that they are talking changes in the cannon. Remember how he pointed out the original salamander armor pattern? I think that everything that kitten points out and the emperor on’t remember are things that have changed the cannonical version ever since w40k was released
Salamanders look like human-shaped black holes with brightly glowing red eyes. Their armor is covered in scales, claws, horns, teeth, and fire. They look more like Chaos Space Marines than any Chaos Marine could hope to.
"Tu'Shan coming to blows with the First Captain of the Marines Malevolent" is a strange way of saying that Tu'Shan beat the everliving crap out of that Captain.
OK, I know this is already older than a year, but I'll have to correct you on one tiny thing - The Salamandars are definetely top tier bros, but they are not the only good guys in the galaxy. Because even in these grimdark times, a tiny fleet of yellow bois in power armor is crusading troughout the galaxy, to protect those that cannot fight for themselves. "For those we cherish, we die in Glory!" I would highly recommend doing some reading into that chapter, by the Manporer of Mankind, they deserve some kindness and attention. btw Alfabusa did a short one on them, the video is "The Fate of the Lamenters", don't know if you have already seen at it this point in time, since I'm still catching up to your TTS reactions. btw I Love your reactions, your editing is great and I love your small anecdotes! Also your vast knowledge about obscure references is kind of scary at times. >_>
Ah, Kitten... in my head cannon, I like to think he's the direct descendant of T'Challa. And one of these days I'll write that fanfiction of Black Panther meeting Kitten.
Ive recently come to the realization that tts is sort of a combo between new and old lore. If the emperor remembers something incorrectly, it's probably something that was retconned away at some point, like the salamanders being regular black dudes.
That in the end are the dark angels. They are a good chapter but they have a bit of a paranoia problem and that led them to do some reckless or just stupid things in the past.
Its funny, because when the Marines Malevolent Captain said that, he turned around and Tu'Shan had been standing RIGHT fucking THERE!! Sod the Ultramarines, Dark Angels are the best. Lol!
It must be nice to watch this for the first time with minimal understanding of all the Space Mariners. Dark Angels are one of my top 5 favorite Loyalist SM chapters.
Nice jaw drop there when Dorn showed himself. And i am still surprised that everyone assumes that he is dead just because they found his severed hand on a ship. Lets be fair, a human who looses a hand will have a bad time. But will survive if the bleeding is stopped in time. A space marine who looses a hand will simply be annoyed since one handed reloading is a bother. Aside from that the marine will be fine. And still everyone assumes that a frigging Primarch someone who makes a space marine look as frail as a regular human DIES from loosing a hand.... Even before the TTS started up i suspected that Dorn simply hid somewhere. Since that do follow the pattern with the loyalist Primarchs simply going somewhere to sulk while staying under the Imperiums radar. Also the dam Dark Angles do need to realize that EVERY legion had ther share of loyalists and traitors during the heresy. Making ther case not at all special. Well aside from that they had hid that fact about ther own traitors from the Imperium for over ten thousand years like a bunch of morons. Morons who kill anyone, including ther own if the learn about that SHAME before they are allowed to learn about it. RIP the two poor marines.
Definitely deserves more subscribers, your reactions are simply the best and I can see that you really have shown some real interest in the lore and the universe in general, so glad that I discovered your channel (VULKAN LIVES, STOMPx2).
You forget about the Lamenters being nice guys as well. They took the "we are the defenders of humanity" to heart literally. Hence why they have a heart symbol on a checkered background as the chapter icon.
Those Space Marines at the end with the hoods are the Dark Angels, they're actually the first Legion of Space Marines ever made and their deal is... Well have you ever watched Visionaries Knights of the Magical Light? Basically they where that, Techno Knights but whose homeworld's forests where infested with demons. During the Horus Heresy their Primarch Lion El'Johnson was betrayed by his mentor Uthwer who fell to Chaos and destroyed their world of Caliban sending traitorous and loyal Dark Angels across time and space, due to the warp, becoming the Fallen. Their contemporaries are very keen on the Imperium not becoming aware of that fact.
Your genuine, positive, and cheerful reaction to this touchy topic was really reliving. Thx for that. I wish we all could get there. to be "green with it" so to say.
Everyone one loves the salamanders. the only bad thing about them. is that there isn't enough content about them. they banter. they are the most human like. they are highly respected by most of the other chapters. fire gear and fire armor is dope AF. and the fact they are blacksmiths who make their own gear makes their gear top tier compared and unique in the looks. wish we got more.
''I can think of a few things when it comes to green but mainly the salamanders, dark angels...'' *YA SURE YA AINT FORGETTIN' SUMFIN? 'O DO YA FINK IZ DA GREENEST? IZ NOT DA ZOGGIN UMIES I TELLS YA!*
It is often said that the Salamanders are the "Black Chapter" because of the skin color, but I'd say that you should check out the Celestial Lions, because they are the "Black Chapter", but more on the Cultural side of it (If I make sense). They're proud Sons of Dorn, buddies with the Black Templar, but sadly always bullied by the Inquisition.
i'm pretty sure their chapter got eradicated by "suspiciously accurate ork snipers" which were, actually, vindicare assassins, deployed after their chapter denounced an inquisitor for debatable use of exterminatus
I am very excited for you to go further through this series and some of the other funny spin offs. If you like ones that makes zero sense and seems like chaos drivel you should watch Vastroyan charge Unsubtle Allegory and The Gate of Morkai. Honestly? Just try to watch every tts related video. So far they all seem like gold.
The guy who was sassmouthed in the end is Lord Belial from the Dark Angels Chapter... You know... The guy who speaks the intro of Space Hulk: Deathwing...
It doesn’t make people uncomfortable to talk about skin color. It makes people uncomfortable to talk to people making up crap about racism because you know they’ll attack you if you call them out on their shit. And to remind those same idiots that skin color is not race. Different races sometimes have different skin colors, but if you say bleached all Africans white they’d still be the race they were before being colored white. Nothing at all would change. If anything, the worst kind of racism is reducing someone to the color of their skin and pretending their race is identical to every other traits with no uniqueness or identity of your own.
