I have no need to look it up, however, as I'm already well aware of the beautifully varied and diverse accents in your fascinating country. I fancy myself something of an Anglophile, after all. I'm aware of all the accents, from West Country to Cockney, from Estuary to Liverpudlian, from Brummie to Scouse, and from Geordie to Mancunian. I fully realise that the "English accent" describes countlessly distinct ways of speaking. I can ONLY convincingly mimic RP, however-- despite that being a relatively rare way of speaking in modern day Great Britain.

There are so many different areas of Britain the accents can be so varied. I from a smaller area and we have hardly a strong or posh accent, but u get places like London where it’s either heavy like this or more posh. In North Yorkshire around where I’m from, not even I understand what people are saying.
