I know anime isn't up everyone's alley, but the director of Perfect Blue, Satoshi Kon, wrote an anime called Paranoia Agent, which is also a great psychological thriller series. For Final Destination, I'd recommend a silly low budget horror called Fortune Cookie. It's essentially a cheesy and goofy FD rip-off! A group of friends go to a restaurant, get fortune cookie fortunes that are innuendos to their deaths, then die one by one FD style. I wanna say some of the kills were pretty decent for the budget? Plus, Ryan Merriman's in it! Super fun, super stupid, good times if you're into that kinda thing

Something in the dirt is supposed to be attached to the endless and resolution films as well, but I didn't feel like something in the dirt fit in as well? Still worth the watch. But resolution and the endless were for sure the best. Some people say their movie spring is also supposed to be attached, but that one I feel like meshes with the others the least. I do enjoy these writers very much, though. They also did the show archive 81, and I was so devastated that they canceled it.

Similar themes of creepy houses full of secrets, tonal shifts in the second half, and mother figures. One movie that I'd really love to find something similar to is The Descent. It's my og comfort movie that got me and my mom into horror. I've seen some other spelunking/survival movies but nothing quite as good.

For Misery, I would also recommend the Lifetime movie, "Hide and Seek" featuring Jennifer Tilly and Darryl Hannah. Such a good movie with a different take on the Misery plot and very eerie.

Love this new video idea. I would definitely recommend Hard Candy if you liked Barbarian. Not really horror, and definitely not for everyone (check for trigger warnings), but definitely takes a hard right turn just when you think it’s going in one direction.

I’m working through my list of “Suggested by Possessed” movies so this is a great video for new ideas! I finally watched Gonjiam yesterday…

Since I also love Brit Marling, "The Sound of My Voice" is good. "Dead Calm" would be good if you liked "Triangle."

hundo percent get you on the "comfort watch" aspect of The Belko Experiment! I also adored Triangle and Another Earth (would never have thought to place them together, but it WORKS) and Creep (1 and 2) are some of my fave underhyped horror. Also love Skeleton Key, Ready or Not, and one and a half of the Cube movies

Watched Triangle because of your recommendation and love it, therefore I will now watch Brightwood! Also totally get what you mean when referring to a horror "comfort" movie. 😆 It's like when you know what you're getting and it delivers!

Oooh! I love the idea of this video! Awesome recommendations! For the next "If You Liked That Movie, Watch This Movie" video, could you do recommendations for these films? Carrie (either the 1976 version or the 2013 version, whichever one you watched) The Shining Get Out (Directed by Jordan Peele) Cabin Fever The Ruins Thirteen Ghosts
