I've heard that if you disassemble the SLX lever, you can switch something in it to make it work the same way as XT does. Similar thing should be possible also with Tiagra to make it 11 speed. Take a look at that.
Is this better than the Merida Big Nine 5000? I'm planning to buy Carbon Hardtail and my existing xc bike is Trek ProCaliber 6. Here in My Country the Scott Scale 925 and Merida Big Nine 5000 have almost the same Price..
Hi sickbiker! Love the channel. I was wondering if you could help me. What travel bike do you recommend to someone who mostly does xc rides with the odd trail ride. I'm looking to start xc racing this year and not sure if a pure xc FS 100mm travel bike is comfortable enough to ride all day. I am however used to riding hardtails and steeper head angles down descents. So don't know if a longer travel slacker bike is worth it? Currently ride a 111mm travel process with a 130 fork. And i can ride this down anything. Bit she's far to heavy for xc. Any help? Was looking at maybe something like the new giant anthem or orbea oiz both carbon.
Almost every xc fork can adjust travel, except realy high-end forks. Most of the frames are sold in different variations of travel (100-120mm) e.g. Scott Spark and Scale, Specialized Epic, Canyon LUX etc. If u hobby rider and weight bit more go for 110-120mm. You can still go well on that travel to the uphill and on the trails it will be way more stable. If u know how to ride your bike and want be fast as possible, go for 100mm. Almost every future/obsticle is possible on that. Just take a look ať WC riders, sometime it's pure DH.
not really a good value bike, rather go for the 940 or even the elite 900 model. Sure, judy silver fork and fully sram nx eagle but can be found for around 12500€ and it has the same xmf frame as this one. I bought a elite 900 but because I hate winter I sold it before I even used it :P
The Suntour fork is not bad i got the same bike but i change every part the fork is 2020 fox 32 Sc Factory with hopp and extralite parts thats high and i forgot the nee gold decals. SR Suntour will never get that far to high end
maybe 925 is only available in EU? I see 920 on the scott site but not 925. Anyway, prices I'm seeing online is 925 for 2400 USD vs 1kg heavier alloy scale 950 for 1700 USD
@@Michel11.11 actually the quality of internal cable routing might be worse than in the carbon one, though the overall frame and components are good for the price
