Hey Seth, just saying thanks for all the great videos over the years. Always a fun time watching, breath of positivity but not forced, fake or toxic positivity. I always feel like you have my back, as an average player that doesnt have piles of money, doesnt win the pro tour. ❤
I thought about it, but I don't want every video to be a Teaching Arena Zoomer video, those are for special occasions (when old cards are reprinted onto Arena for the first time).
I saw that Settle the Wreckage coming since the first match of the video. BRU-TAL! Love the idea of this deck, I tried several versions of this combo, but this one seems pretty consistent.
@jungleboy1157 Nope, I'm just pointing out that they can do this, and it's abysmal. You want them to have cards mirror the paper version and not vice versa. I will point out that I personally would be all for DRC not getting a toughness boost and unholy heat dealing only 4 damage in paper, but it's a nightmare to check errata on cards.
Was my Ninja deck you clocked hehe I knew I was on a timer and I saw that Storm Herald hit the board and I was like "Well, you tried your best, Silver-Fur Master :')"
It was a pure joy, after watching this video I played an opponent that was using pretty much this exact decklist and this video piloted me to victory as I knew exactly when to unsummon the storm herald. My opponent did not get the memo that you can spread the auras out!
Probably in case any of the other matches corrupt or perhaps he picks the first round after recording them all He also does record these over a couple days
Ha, I should probably try to change that, but the main reason is I usually choose the order after the fact rather than showing the games in chronological order, at least that is how it starting. Now it's just a habit that I probably should try to break.
I was thinking these were live streamed and he's just like ok chat today we are doing some buudget magic time! Playing some storm herald enchantments 😊
I only play commander but the way this guy explains things or something, I just keep watching anything he puts out, even if it's a format I would never play
This is very reminiscent of my Devilish Valet - Oni Cult Anvil deck. Looks like a weird Anvil deck, then opp taps out on turn 4, loses to Valet swinging in for 32.
I don't even know if you would consider this, but, I had this really cool idea for a "against the odds" deck, and I came out with this super epic/janky deck that can win on turn 3. It also can be supprisingly really good late game Here is the decklist 4x wind-scarred crag 2x sundown pass 1x battlefield forge 1x sokenzan crucible of defiance 7x Mountain 6x Plains 4x feather the redeemed 4x Angelfire ignition 3x two-handed axe 3x swift blade vindicator 4x unleash fury 4x illuminator virtuoso 4x feat of resistance 2x skrelv, defector mite 4x infuriate 1x shadow spear 2x homestead courage 3x brave the elements 1x blessed defiance 1x arrester's zeal The turn 3 combo goes like this, turn 1, tapland - turn 2, illuminator virtuoso - turn 3, attack, if not blocked, then infuriate (discard nonland), plus unleash fury (discard nonland) then your opponent gets hit with a 12/5 double strike, GG. the best part is when they have a blocker, but don't block because they don't want their creature to die, little do they know. Take in mind, this is a budget deck, and I think it would be awesome to see Your version of this deck on the channel. Thanks! hope you at least consider it! This deck is made for Historic
Wouldn't faithless looting be far better than pyromancer, especially since deck is speed focused? I'd think in graveyard decks in historic in red faithless looting is a staple, cheap and reliable way to dig.
I believe a lot of the Baldur's Gate readjustments were for the sake of draft, not so much constructed. And like, a 2/1 is wayy better than a 1/1, especially if the format has good x/2s
There's a grixis reanimator version of this deck I play that is so much more consistent. Uses sorcery&instant self-mill, zero secondary creatures and more copies of auras & loot effects so you fill the GY with effective cards much faster & more consistently
Yep I also built a grixis deck that’s way more consistent, particularly for turn 3 wins. Main differences are: 4x Founding the Third Path 4x Picklock Prankster 4x Glimpse the Unthinkable 4x Unearth 2x Merfolk Secretkeeper 4x Pact of Negation
27:50 At least it wasn't a *5th* consecutive Satyr Wayfinder whiff. Still, that Wayfinder needs to have his pay docked. He had one job to do, and he failed four times in a row.
During the game at about 34:00, you were worried about the goblin bombardment wiping board, but you coild have played satyr wayfinder to have at least one creature left if they did see the line and win regardless. (Edit) I'm wrong, I thought he was missing his land drop for the turn.
i would love to see you playing a food chain deck when the card comes on arena- i just made my first every legacy deck with it and i am kinda lost with decisionmaking here
You got to try this combo devilish valet plus awake in the woods you dumped 7 mana into awaken you literally have a 143/3 there's a red green card that gives this combo trampled the game-winning punch
34:00 I wonder if opponent choose to bombard everything at this point, what would be the result? Both players will have nothing in the battlefield, and it be like a "game reset", with the opponent having the upper hand since the only non-land permanent left is the Goblin Bombardment ?
Hilarious deck. Lots of fun to watch the explosive kills with it. I wonder if it would be worth it to run a couple Cathartic reunion type draw cards to discard more cards from hand if you need to.
Im surprised to not see anyone pointing it out, but if you have multiple creatures then them leaving up a removal spell wont evem save them, since they cant respond to which creature youre attaching the auras to. If they have a hard kill spell like doom blade then thatll beat it anyone, but a burn spell wont even come close 😂
I should send my rally the rank deck for historic or explorer, that was the first video of urs I ever watched (zuberas) so it would be awesome if u built it on arena (without zuberas)
It makes me so nervous when you are reading your graveyard, that your opponent will look at it and then see all of the huge enchantments in your graveyard and figure out whats going on.
if you tap out against our MTG Arena Historic Budget Magic Storm Herald deck, you'll be able to play the 5 Keywords of the Forbidden One and summon SEO Exodia, winning instantly
I think Looting is worse than Pyromancer (since we can Eldritch Evolution Pyro and it adds bodies to the battlefield for chump blocking). Initially I was thinking of playing Faithless Looting for budget purposes, but then I remembered that Looting is technically a rare on Arena, so it doesn't really matter.
I feel like you might be able to play both. Looting can probably help you trim a land or two, but yeah, probably don't need to play the full 4 Pyro especially if Mythic Wildcards are an issue.
Unfortunately it taps the creature when it enters the battlefield so it doesn't really work in this build (although it does in Modern where you can also play Burning Anger to tap Herald for damage in response to the tap trigger).
