To be honest, after 15 years you may need to replace the carburetors. I would ensure the fuel tank is clean with fresh gas, new fuel filter, new spark plug, new air filter, clean the carburetor and then it should fire up. Also, change the oil and oil filter. Let me know if you need any help.

I had this same issue with one of my machines. Carburetor engines can be hard to start when cold because fuel vaporizes less easily, and can condense on the intake manifold walls, starving the cylinders of fuel. This requires a richer fuel mixture (more fuel to air) to start and run the engine until it warms up. You can adjust this by increasing the size of your jet.

Yes check the filters but also check the jet sizes.

There has to be a disconnect between the crankshaft and front sprocket. Couple of things I've seen is the clutch basket can snap also you may be missing teeth on a gear in the transmission.

As long as you have good oil and good fuel. If it runs rough you're not going to hurt anything riding it. It may be running rough due to a clogged carburetor.

i have a raptor 250 and it only idles when it’s warm. i have the idle turned all the way up and it still idles really low. the carburetor is also cleaned. help please

To give you the best diagnosis, I would need to ask this. When it's in neutral, does it rev up easily?

Mine just went through that. Coincidentally right after conditioning the air filter with oil. The short cut fix I learned: remove the idle ages on side of carb and fill hole with carb cleaner. Flip throttle once and let it soak about an hour. Viola! Problem solved

It's likely that all your issues are fuel related. After letting it sit, the carburetor needs to be cleaned and the fuel tank flushed. I hope this helps!

Shops have a tendency to do that 😩 I would consider buying a new carburetor

I’m having this issue now, with the Coleman raptor at200-b which is literally the two Tao. Did you ever figure it out?

It's the carburetor I have a Tao Rhino and with the stock carb it wouldn't even stay idle. I bought a Nibbi 26mm with flange and put it on and it started immediately. It starts first try I just need to get it tuned correctly. But as if right now I can get it up to 50. Also make sure you change the oil immediately they have shitty shipping oil in them. But I'm running a 115 main jet 45 pilot jet Needle clip in middle and im about 600 feet above sea level. Take the carb off and get it opened up and go from there

Happened to me too, i had loose connection spot wich i found, when i held if where it should be, i was able to start it

@@alexz6462 for me it was near battery, there was like outlet or something like that, and it was coming out, when i pusged it back i could start it
