Thankyou Nicolai for today’s video. You are a gift to the Magic community. Did the free entry draft this morning and built a blue red spells with green splash (parcel beast) with loads of removal, card draw and value engines. Didnt get time to finish the rest of the games but did win my first two. The games are very swingy so you can win or lose out of nowhere. 12:59 - so satisfying seeing you call the cards right before they appear haha 13:37 - best reaction 😂

I'd recommend that on brand new draft videos, when you're excited about a card, show it..Brand new format so maybe everyone doesn't know.what the card is ans why its good for the deck
Thanks for the inspiration. I had a chance to draft this archetype but it was missing a lot of the bomb you had, still went 7-0. I had the flicker flyer that let me abuse the Marshall
What do you think about running 16 lands instead of 17? In single matches, I prefer 16 lands. I really hate it when I flood, you feel so powerless after drawing 8 mana in a row. Mana screws are less stressful and get rewarded if you hit the lands.
I was agonizing over that decision for this Draft and I eventually settled on 16. I think in most Drafts 17 is correct because losing to Mana Screw also is something I'd rather avoid.
How about drawing so much mana that the only thing you can do is reanimate fertilid and spend 4 mana every turn just to thin your deck out of lands and yet you still draw the 17th land on turn 12 and rage concede? Because that sucks T_T
I've done a Draft guide for Ikoria that has a lot of the same information that would be relevant for Sealed. However, Sealed has some nuance to it so I might make a separate Sealed video at some point just to showcase some of the differences.
I got to use bastion in a very cool orzhov deck full of human token more on the low curve side. It was just perfect cant really tell the clutch moments against very hard decks and situations.
If you were given the stipulation to draft around a companion that you see pack 1 do you think your deck would be weaker if it was Lurrus of the Dream-Den or Zirda, the Dawn-Waker? #OPhumans
I had 6 fire tactics and 4 of the other black common murder in a traditional draft. Sadly arena crashed in match 2 and then my internet went out right as I was attacking for lethal in match 3. Won match 1 tho
@Kel'Thuzad This is literally a draft video. No sane person is here criticizing standard viability of a card because of how it plays in limited. I think I played 4 or 5 drafts today and kept getting passed more and more heartless act later and later. I just started going at draft this set though, so I'm only like silver 2, so that could affect it.
Had a cool BW deck splashing the Phoenix. Went 1-3. Almost killed my opponent but they played two of the life gain vigilance creatures and then the rare vigilance dino. Then lost the final game because opponent countered my five drop with Voracious Greatshark.
@@Logan-lz5gu All of a sudden it is a 5/7. That sounds crazy. It might even be correct to use burn and stuff like that on your own 1/3 from time to time.
You just lost when you decided to be greedy instead of KILLING UMORI right away! I was like "Ok, just kill umori, as he will cheap all his drops..." and you just let it live like forever! Opponent even managed to cast companion for UU :(

@@michaelroywright9975 True! BFZ came right before the return to Innistrad. I actually had a deck in Eldritch moon with 5 copies of Sigardian Priest, which was the first time I ever had more than 4 copies of a card in Limited and was even crazier because there were only 2 packs of Eldritch Moon to get them in!
One of my favorite parts of Draft is that if you build a good deck in Draft you are just naturally favored in every round. I do enjoy Constructed, but it is much more often a case of two roughly equal decks both trying to achieve their gameplan (or a one sided matchup). I like how every round of Limited feels fresh.
