Remove the rocker cover and I think you’ll definitely find a broken spring on the inlet valve. If the piston or rings where worn the car would still have compression

Good luck dean the wirering is a absolute mind field. My friend has been doing a vw golf r 2.5 and hit a wall with wirering. Unless u want a Xmas tree dash.
Can't wait to see how you do this. I'm currently changing my 2.5v6 to a 3.2v6 on my channel but is easy compared to what your doing as I don't have to touch any wiring as old ecu adapts to new displacement and externally engines are the same. So keep up the good work and very informative 👍🏻
I’m so excited to see how it will turn out. 😁 I believe there was one Octavia Mk3 Wagon in Czechia with 2.5 Audi engine, but it was vRS TDI 4x4 because of rear diff i think. 🤷🏼♂️
Ive always wanted to swap an RS3 engine into a Golf R estate but this is probably a better car for the extra power... look forward to seeing the progression 👌🙌
When you get a chance, i think one day you need to build a car for you. The absolute pinnacle of your favourites. That’ll be a hoot! Or shake it up a bit, maybe something really old - a classic maybe?
A great video, but I was disappointed not more progress on the engine swap. After the low compression result I was expecting engine out, prep for RS3 engine in. Maybe I’m too hasty!
Am sure vw golf 2012 ish had to get a recall for somthing like this at the oil filler neck where they fitted a waffle and resealed the rocker head and gasket. Be good to know if what you have is a bad example of that recall
I have done this turbo conversion before, race3 motorsport sell the turbo lines, turbo actuator needs swapping which if your going hybrid then TTE turbos will sort the actuator for a pressure operated one instead of vacuum, forge turbo elbow, custom boost outlet pipe to intercooler needed, facelift downpipe and that’s about it, this engine is know for bad injectors so need latest revision injectors, and ngk race plugs
@Raskeable has a 750 hp VRS 3 Superb, which will give hint at what this project is capable of once it's finally done. The YT channel @Gumbal has the machine drag racing ~3 months back. Cannot wait to see where you go with your Octavia RS project!
@Saving Salvage Can you please do a detailed price brakedown throughout this project as i have wished to do this to my vRS ever since I bought it. Will probably never get to do it but it would be very interesting as to how much everything down to the bolt would have cost me. I'm so happy that someone is doing this though as I believe the vRS should have come with the 2.5 T from the RS3 as standard.
