My friend back in highschool tried to punch a pidgeon for like a year and failed every time. When he finally got one he bragged about it for the rest of highschool
Agree, but the Normal type still kinda sucks I don't use a lot of the solo type Normal Pokemon just because they're not resisting anything, even though I like them and would love to get to know them better...
@@mrevilducky in red/blue/yellow/pick your remake on cinnibar island there are alot of notes, stating that scientists (rockets, since they created Mewtwo) found mew DNA, tried to clone and weaponize it. So yes, they are failed Mewtwo clones, since they never really planned on recreating mew in the first place. Maybe the dittos were the experiments closer to mew before they changed more and more to create a weapon :) ... If I missed something I'm open for corrections tho :)
What if it were dark for having its hidden ability, Moody. Problem is, it's hard to come by. I only got one that was a shiny from IT'SK33N.TV from GTS.
See I'd go ghost or fairy or psychic cause it has those magic mirror mimicing type quallities but with art. I arguably like your dark typing better maybe it could be dark fairy dark for it's mischief and copying and in all basic theft etc. And fairy for it's kinda magical quallity in that way. It's spritely and artsy and "cute" with magical quallities to it so it works as fairy but I kinda like Fairy/Dark for it
@@boocrimson7720 with so many options, It would be hard to choose XD. I remember back when Smeargle seemed useless. Just some random encounter on a route in johto. I forgot where. I didn't think to teach it transform until Heartgold. Thought it was a joke.
The "???" type already exists and in gen 4 they even gave Arceus a sprite for that type. I guess nothing would resist it and nothing would be weak to it, it'd just be neutral to everything
@@wildstarfish3786 Actually it still exists, it's just via very obscure methods and the only way to become typeless is a pure fire type using burn up which removes your fire type
Yes xD, how many years ago was that? Most of us where watching him doing a slow transition figuring out what he REALLY wants his channel to be about while enjoying his work :D
I did punch a bird, a common pidgeon. It was not very effective, yes it resisted cuz it gave me a cut in one hand. Just a dumb dude fighting a pidgeon bare-handed in college campus
3:13 Listen after playing Sword and Shield and having chased my ass all over the wild area by the friggin Tyroge you guys have NO IDEA how satisfying was to see Pidgeotto do that. Like foreal I laugh hysterically when I see it lol
Dang steel-type wooloo fits so well. I expected you to say something like, “uhh… fighting type because they tackle things a lot? And dubwool looks like it would like to fight you?” But no that’s stupid, STEEL TYPE works so well, good job Gnog
I'm sure he'd mixed it up with Tornadus. Castform is so frequently overlooked that I feel bad for the poor thing. Also has questionable round parts on its body, so everybody makes fun of it for that too.
@@Marianoejar What makes a water, wind, or snow storm "weather" then? Are you saying sandstorms are unnatural like fire storms? Cause news flash: sandstorms exist.
@@runningoncylinders3829 Well, at least water and snow comes from above, from clouds, and sand doesn't. The difference between things coming from above, and things being hurled up from the ground. I remember being at a festival where a strong storm ripped many of the tents up and they were flying around. Tents aren't weather-things either, just because storms have hurled them from the ground up in the air. Sure, it was a phenomenon that happened. But it was just a storm, lifting something up. Tents, sand, whatever. And now that I've written that, I don't know what to do with it, because I just realized that water evaporates and "comes up" too. Soooo... :)
Is anyone gonna talk about how Indeedee is JUST Galarian Audino? A. Still Normal type B. Share the sameish name pun C. Have similar designs D. Both have feelers or some other strong sense to tell emotion and ones well being
i was very offput seeing indeedee and seeing it isnt a galarian audino. theyre both round and good boys.. but indeedee is a very interesting pokemon, even though i dont have one u _ u its cute how they added a cute butler/maid pokemon tho.
"I guess I could also see fairy type, because they love food and are pink. That's a very good reason to make a Pokemon fairy." GameFreak: *nervous laughter*
"Have you ever tried to punch a bird?" No, but one day i was riding my motorcycle on a rural area, and a raven that was standing on the ground lifted off and started to fly , with such a bad luck that it hit my right fist as i was passing by, so i didn't try to punch a bird, but i punched a bird at mid flight.
@@spark9372 Personally for eachb form it has different typing. Sping is grass, Summer is fire, Fall is flying i guess??? Because Fall is windy??? And Winter is ice.
Stantler literally has dex entries and anime episodes about its hypnotic powers, so psychic not ground. Snorlax should absolutely be dark, and then potentially either fighting, steel, or poison maybe. But definitely dark: gluttony, sloth, wrath, and greed. They are Always hungry/eating, or sleeping. When awoken or hungry, it’s always angry and attacks things, and it always wants more food and other sorta edible things. Also, then it would still be weak to fighting if MonoDark, or even Dark/Fighting. Dark/Steel would be 4x weak, and Dark/Poison.... I don’t remember if fighting does less damage to poison. Also for Noctowl it would become Psychic/Flying, it also has hypnotic powers and stuff.
Siper Don’t call me stupid and basically I believe a normal type being affective against another typing would be genius have you read the tortoise and the hare the tortoise actually need the race normally while the hair was just bragging around basically slow and steady wins the race your name on this lower the speed test taking pack a punch and speed type Pokémon
The Smeargle part makes a whole lot of sense. It tends to be used for support due to its diverse move pool and weak states. Poison is one of the best types for support. Grass and ghost work well too. So Smeargle fits poison in terms of both the battle role and the toxicity of paint.
Fairy/Dark Ursaring makes perfect sense from the Erza stars to the fact that Bears especially mama bears are just guardians for their babies like how fairies and nymphs are guardians for the forests and nature and those how destroys or harm them will be punished. Most bear attacks are caused by people going to their terrirtories or worse, tourists actively going near to the bears and Dark type, will bear attacks don't usually end well both for the human and the bearS (yes, including the child) as the human will be scared for life if not, be dead and the bear family? Well, they'll be killed off by park rangers usually.
I feel like a "null" type could still exist, it would just be equally affected by every type and, therefore, also equally affect every other type. It isn't weak to anything, but it also isn't superaffective against anything...
@@d.dementedengineerc99isurf26 Kids who think their Charizard is super strong unbeatable sweeping beast just because it's massively overleveled compared to every in-game trainer. Also fills 3/4 of those moves with fire moves.
@@megalodon11x23 It's even more amusing that you called me a normie since 1. Zard is definitely overrated, Rhydon eats him for lunch and 2. I'll bet you don't have Yellow Version. =P
Or at least give them a regional typing. To be honest I can see a regional variant of Ursaring that is similar to Galar's Panserker. People do often relate bears to bersekers or druids.
I looked at the title and thought it was a message on how normies keep the Pokemon franchise alive and if it were only hardcore fans it would collapse pretty quick.
In an alternate universe, Lockstin is discussing why a standard type to categorize bland/simple pokémon, with typings that don't make sense, doesn't exist and *should* exist
10:53 I was dreading the day you'd use Diives' artwork. Now you might have to face slightly more questions of whether you're a furry or not! *Dun dun duuun*
Poison/Fairy Lickitung and Lickilicky would be incredible regional variants. I also feel like you could add Psychic onto Komala since it's basically sleepwalking, acting out its dreams, the Drowzee and Munna lines are all about sleep and dreams and they're Psychic. So, Grass/Psychic Komala.
Not always, it could also mean someone can keep things down, and i have one, so many times i wanted to vomit and i never do, just severe acute nausea, always about to spew your guts but never do
"Honestly I'm not really sure why Blissey isn't a fairy type already." BECAUSE DEAR GOD NO, LOCKSTIN. Blissey would be completely overpowered as a fairy type.
It's almost a pure wall though. With only one weakness becoming two with heavy hitters like Heavy Slam, Meteor Mash, Cross Poison, Gunk Shot, Iron Tail, Iron Head, Poison Jab, etc in the game I struggle to see how it'd be even slightly stronger than it already is.
@@runningoncylinders3829 because being resistant to fighting, dark, and bug, and being immune to dragon, IMO would make it a better wall than being immune to ghost type. Sure steel and poison are a thing, but wall breakers are... less common among them.
At least Syndrome's quote explains why I like being short. If everybody was tall it wouldn't mean so much anymore. Ant-Man would have even more of a reason to be my hero.
@@getsu6293 it was a joke/meme and that's kinda the point I was making even with everyone being super in that world it's still not even and there are other factors like skill etc so it was proving his statement false
I like the idea of Spinda being ground, but only if you edit its Pokédex entry to say that it spins around so fast that it drills itself into the ground.
"Have you ever tried to punch a bird?" there was a man, trying to slash birds by mimic their move, he learned it everyday until eventually got to slash them anyways, thus become famous by that technique he learned, and Pokémon added his technique in certain move as well (guess which) so... yup, there are someone tried "punching" birds anyway, not technically punch it but.. practically the same, lol
"I could see Fairy because it likes food and its Pink" Me: yeah that seems like a very Gamefreak reasoning. 9:31 "But also partially based on a Yokai that likes to lick bathhouses clean" *drink spit* DUDE! YOU CANT JUST DROP THAT LIKE IT AINT NO THING.
If sound type was added, it should be super effective against and resist psychic types/psychic type attacks because the loud noise would disrupt the Pokémon's concentration.
"Imagine Pokemon Without Normies! What would they be instead?" Me: Oh i think the franchise wouldn't sell this well anymore and gamefreak would be fored to put more work into the games so that it would sell better. *starts watching video* Oh he's talking abobut the types......
DrakenFire OK to be fair wouldn’t like in Pokémon make you not a Normie, since Pokémon isn’t a normal thing. Unless it does makes you a Normie in which case Would raise a whole slew of other problems
@@thewanderingmistnull2451 wow dude i play games for such a long time and i know very well how much time goes into developing a game. GameFreak has just upscaled the pokemon models from the 3DS and you wanna call that "hard work" or something? You know what kind of game TRULY gets a lot of work and time into them? Something like "Cyberpunk 2077" which i'm hyped about. Another game that will probably have way more work put into it than this dogshit pokemon edition will be the "New Pokemon Snap" game. These are games made from ground up and not some copy paste bullshit from older games.
I personally think Stantler could be a psychic type. It apparently has odd powers that distort the air around it's horns. As well as an Ice type, since it's a Reindeer and those are usually associated with Christmas, and that's usually associated with Winter. So I think Stantler can be Psychic/Ice
So I feel like Smeargle could be psychic under the same justification that Keckleon and Ditto could be. It's theoretically got the capability to learn every single move so I feel like that's so real Big Brain Time to be honest.
The typing itself from an overview perspective could maybe go away even if normal fits many normal type pokemon. But where it just doesnt work is in the games, it would be kinda hard to pull off a smooth start in any pokemon game if the type was gone. Possible but very hard
Maid and Butler Pokemons could be ghost type as they have already a shadowy look. Plus, maid and butlers usually want to erase their presence to make the atmosphere as suitable for their master while still being there to serve. Maybe ghost/psychic
