@@ejjohnson7061 it’s crazy nobody gives KD smoke for losing a 3-1 lead… also no one give curry and klay smoke. But bring up Lebron and they will bring up 2011 🤧🤣
That host was like a straight clown a$$ hater and Iman never bought his bait. Respect for that man for having such an honesty and unbiased mind like that.
2016 was my first time watching basketball for real and i will be forever grateful that i was lucky enough to see that Cavs miracle happen in front of my eyes
One of my closest friends and I live in Cleveland..we had been watching the Cavs since Bron got drafted....I was downtown the night the Cavs won game 7....2016 was a special year and a sad one....my best friend and I were texting about the championship and then July 17th he was tragically killed in a crossfire....that year will always be a meaningful year to me 🏆
Most people never were even mad at KD for leaving OKC it was the choice to go to the Warriors dude could’ve went ANYWHERE ELSE and nobody would’ve said a word but he literally ruined the whole Cavs vs Warriors rivalry
He wanted to play with Steph and bron did too and in 2016 the league got on some bs and Steph and the boys went and got kd and then told the league your move hate or love it series in chips is 3 to 1 golden state.
Definitely not the greatest win…that was the same exact warriors team that Lebron had down 2-0 by himself…everyone said “if bron had kyrie and love he would’ve won”…so he got them and won…he shouldn’t have been down 3-1 because he had the better team they only one because Curry was hobbled from spraining his mcl and bogut got hurt…the warriors wasn’t no all star team they were regular guys with two snipers that played well together…it wasn’t like Wade, bron and bosh which were all ALL STARS by themselves…we seen draymond by himself vs Kevin love…and we know who bron is and kyrie…they jus pump that up to fuel lebrons legacy
@@MrSPIDEY21 🤦🏾♂️ sounds like you’re discrediting the western teams & Curry. Look you win if you just gonna look away at them being the winningest team.
@@venosaveillard4632 I’m not discrediting the warriors I’m giving them credit…people are trying to say they were an unfair team when they weren’t…they were great together. Bron actually had the unfair team…people just pump up shit to boost Lebron…there’s no way the block was more important than than kyries shot…there’s no way iggy should’ve won fmvp over Steph but “he was guarding bron”. And people will say “bron still averaged 30-8-8” and it’s misleading because he didn’t do all that on iggy…it’s all stupid…there’s no way that warriors team is better than the bulls with Jordan or lakers with kobe and Shaq purely on matchups but they pumped them up to pump Lebron up…that’s what I’m saying…
@@MrSPIDEY21 u sound dumb being that curry is the greatest shooter of all time and being that they won 73 games in a season? How was bron not supposed to be down 3-1 to a team that did that ? And the block was more impactful because if they down two right there they probably don’t even go for a 3 being kyries shot
@@thetruth1753 absolutely agree 100% all that matters they came back to win the championship that was the Greatest come back in NBA history against that team
not really, the facts is bogut was injured he is one of the high iq and great shot blocker in gs, and green suspend in 1 game. if they said that well thats the facts that youre talkin about
@@azbro2831 kyrie and love are valuable in offensive end. Bogut and d.green are valuable in defensive end. So comparing them, they are all both valuable in their team.
D Green missed game 5 Lebron dropped a 41 bomb He came back in game 6 well rested Lebron scored another 41 points He also played game 7 and LeBron had a 29 points triple double Draymond is one of the greatest Defenders ever but stop making look like the Cavs would never win if he played in game 5
I's highly likely that that game 5 shifted the momentum of the series and gave the Cavs new life. It would have been extremely hard for the Warriors to lose 3 in a row.
I remember like a year or so before he broke out. I read a quote of him saying he was better than Lebron. I was like who is this lil dude? As a Cavs fan, I surely found out who he was after that.
But what’s the relevance. It has no valid point as to who he actually was at that time. Lmao of course they said he would be out the league he was always hurt. Notice he never mentioned anything about them saying he was going to be out the league because he couldn’t play. Terrible point
@@GRANxNATIxJEFExTV i think the reason he brought it up was to show how people's perception of Steph changed over time, even tho Steph was putting up solid numbers then, he was still not considered the future of basketball. The whole point him bringing it up was basically to say, this dude could still play, and they wanted him out of the league anyway... I think the relevance of the point is a little lost here because it's not the full interview but it's likely that they were just talking about how Steph changed the game and this portion came after that, so in this small clip form, there is a lack of context.
It’s so funny to watch these guys ballin and then hearing them speak. I’d probably love every one of them if we sat down and had a conversation. There’s a reason why they all made the league. The skill didn’t come from nothing.
2:55 Iman was making an entirely different point than what this interviewer interrupted him with. Did that so many times in this clip and interview period. Actually pay attention and listen to your guests. Instead of changing the topic, would've loved to hear Iman go on about Cleveland having to figure out Draymond's importance to GS in some other fashion.
I can never ever emphesis how great and essential Dreymond was and still is to the success of G.S.W and Steph curry. He never had the stats to show for it but if y'all watched G.S.W games and not highlights, he is like that beaitiful V8 engine in a Shelby.
Andrew Bogut missing the finals getting injured and Andre Iggy pulling groin changed the finals. Not Draymond missing game….ALTHOUGH it was a huge turning point for momentum
Warriors lost their interior defense which is how Kyrie and LeBron had easy lanes to the basket when Bogut went down. That was the difference. But I think the warriors broke down as the series went on because they got tired. The cavs cruised their way to those finals. The warriors were in a dog fight with the Thunder going 7 games. And that was a hard seven games. They just got fatigue. And remember before the playoffs they were in very close games trying to break the record.
This is most idiotic statement I’ve read today 😭 This man was literally in the games talking to the players and you’re gonna sit here and proclaim that he is wrong 😭😭😭 Can’t make this stuff ip
@@MikeBNumba6 the warriors went all out in the last games of the season to chase the 73 wins. because they lost some dumb games to the T wolves earlier they went all out at the end and were banged up in the playoffs
@@JR-wu8gf go watch the tape. Go see how dominant number 1 overall pick Andrew Bogut was on defense. I think dude averaged 3 blocks that finals. Lebron and Kevin n even Kyrie couldn’t go to the paint. Lebron was even scared from looks of it.
Coz Kyrie hits the clutch shots both game 6&7. And scores 40+pts too. Most people forget about kyrie did. And he's doing great defensively against Curry or Klay the whole series.
Respect to Shumpert for being 💯. He just gave his personal account, analogy and commentation about how detrimental Draymond's absence was to victory and most yall in the comment still hating. 🤷🏽♂️
Draymond missed game 5 Lebron scared 41 points He came game 6 well rested Lebron scored another 41 points He also played game 7 and LeBron had a 29 points triple double Draymond is one of the greatest Defenders ever but stop making look like the Cavs would never win if he played in game 5
This man Shumpert literally telling yall what it is bruh. Nobody ever said Lebron isn't that 1. Nooobody stops Lebron. But Yall Bron Nut riders are worse than the beehive cult. 🤣🤣🤣
Green was out game 5. Bogut broke his leg game 5 and was out games 6 and 7. Both were key to the Warriors defense. I believe if both teams were healthy both years, both still would’ve had a championship, but Cleveland would’ve won in 2014-2015 and Golden State in 2015-2016.
Bogut only averaged 12 minutes a game in the 2016 finals. They went with their death lineup remember? Also, Love left game 2 with a concussion then missed game 3 and the Cavs still won by 30. People seem to forget a lot of the details when debating. They let their personal biases take over. There were factors on both sides. The main factor is this, the Warriors had 3 tries to win one game and they failed. It’s that simple.
Coming from a Lebron fan: 1. The hardest ring was Houston in 94. They were a 6th seed. 2. Most impressive run was the Mavs in 2011. 3. Best Finals: 2016 Cleveland vs GSW
@@zone_luck5242 without half of the frontcourt in Draymond and Bogut. Hell, even what Wade did being down 0-2 to the Mavs was more to me. Detroit beat the most crewed up Lakers squad and almost took the Spurs out
Seeee!!! Thats what Im trying to say. Steph klay and dray become an all star or maybe an all time great after beating teams and winning the championship. Only KD was the legit all star player that joined that team (exclude DmC because he aint battling the ball. Its his injury). You can clearly see how fans favored someones team or player and diminished somebody's achievement because of this and that. This is the very 1st time I hear that not biased to GsW "big all star" team. Im not even a fan of them. Anyways, Letzooooo bulllllllsss!!
Green played in game 6 and Bron dropped another 41 on his head 🤣🤣🤣. The Larriors had 3 games to win a championship but they could not. It's their fault that their weak ass team could not beat Bron's team. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Facts if we playing the what if game there's alot that can be said....if Kyrie and klove didn't get injured.....if KD didn't go to golden state....if Draymond never got suspended...🤷
Iman is my guy! I loved him the most when he played for my NY Knicks! But he's buggin!! CAVS wer down 3-1. Where was Draymond game 4, 6, 7.. draymond hit 30+ points in game 7, how come they still ain't win?!?! You gotta love draymond for his great leadship.. he doesn't score 20, 30 points every night, but he is extremely effective in that organization.. but stop it!!! He wasn't stopping No KING JAMES!
Iggy and Bogut were injured. Harrison Barnes was virtually non existent on the court. Steph was coming off injury and finally I must admit. He shrunk in the the big moments. Careless turnovers and couldn’t hit a shot. There’s a real explanation for the L. Nonetheless Cavs took care of they business
I remember that series vividly.. the pick n roll he and Lee or bogut was doing was killing us . He starts the offense leads the defense and handle the half court pg responsibility.... I think y'all need to understand real basketball..
This was a great series! Cavs at that time were not a superteam....at all! They gelled together and balled hard. Warriors gave them a tough challenge. I will take this Cavs team over the Lakers we see now any day!
Draymond Green is a three-time all star and he’s a three-time all star because he played on the Warriors. People need to learn how to use proper context. Bill Russell had a lot of teammates who were all stars because they played with Bill Russell.
Ppl don’t understand that rivalry was never gonna be bron vs Steph, if the warriors would’ve won in 16 then K was going to Cleveland no doubt, all the news articles and media around the league knew it
@@freshmoney6597 you assume I'm a Bron fan because I have a take about a team he was on? Warriors were defending champs. Warriors were up 3-1. in 2011 Miami was in its first year, Bron still hadn't won a chip. a 3-1 lead comeback finals by itself is enough. let alone against that Warriors team. stop the cap.
@@wellDamnJamz You know nothing about basketball. U let the media control your opinions. The Cavs were better than the Warriors. I don't give a damn about their REGULAR SEASON record. If Kyrie and Love don't get injured the Cavs would've beat the Warriors twice. Bron, Kyrie, and Love is better than Steph, Klay, and Draymond. The Warriors knew that. That's why they got KD. I was not surprised the Warriors lost.. Especially after Draymond's suspension. We were all surprised the Big 3 lost to the Mavs. That was the biggest finals upset ever. Sorry! 🤷🏾♂️
@@freshmoney6597 bruh. its not worth it going back and forth with you cuz its not a good faith conversation when you just jumping to insults and conclusions like a loser. if the convo was best championship run, then I would give it to the Mavs, because obviously somebody as pompous as you knows who the Mavs beat to get to the Finals that year. but because I have a difference in opinion about the Finals themselves I'm on some sheep shit? don't be typical.
Its pretty obvious KD ruined his legacy by joining the GSW. Shumperts joking at the end, is how him and most the nba and nba fans feel for real. Cupcake soft asf
As a Cavs fan who is born, raise, and still living in Cleveland....Iman has a special spot in my heart. He was awesome. 2016 was amazing. Glad he's chilling and happy.
Exactly. The fix was already in. Game 7 was June 19, 2016. Take a wild guess when the biblical King James was born. 450 years earlier (June 19, 1566). Great storyline all the way around.
Lol Draymond don’t do what he did he don’t get suspended. Why does no one ever hold that dude accountable 😅. He had a history of low blows all playoffs. Why do that??? He lucky he wasn’t suspended earlier to be honest when they was playing the Thunder and he kicked Adams.
The hardest ring ever seen? Andrew Bogut with broken knee, Andre Iguodala injured, Draymond Green suspended in Game 5, Steph Curry injured with MCL tear had 30 points fouled out early in Game 6 and had only 1 free throw in Games 6 and 7. 2016 and 2020 Championships were the easiest pathways to win in the history of the NBA. Anyone who praises a fake achievement is an ignorant. The hardest Championships were 1998, 2010, 2011 and 2022.
I think you forget that mavs team dog walked the west that year in path to the heat They weren’t scrubs History gonna remember them as such cause Bron had a bad series
@@loveeveryanime it’s not an undervalue. I’m just pointing out the fact that his squad is not valued as high as the Heat. That’s why everyone in Vegas never gave Dallas a snow balls chance in hell to win.
@@drivenrc I somewhat agree, but I am of the mindset that there are a few that were more impressive to me in terms of difficulty. The Cavs comeback vs the War is an example.
I don’t get this “if draymond played they would have won” he came back the next game and had the best game of his career and still lost. Think he got 35-8-7 or something. Still took the L. So you can’t act like it’s an automatic dub for them.
1:42 you guys get your facts wrong-surprising from Cavs/Bron fans who think that one ring in 2016 makes up for losing 3 out of 4 (maybe that's not what these people in the video think but many fans seem to). It was Game 5 in Oakland that Draymond had to sit out. A crucial game-but I think the Cavs won this Finals because Lebron and Kyrie played some of the best ball they ever played from Game 5 on. In the end-it was great for Cleveland and great for the league because it matched some of the intensity of the best of the Lakers/Celtics era in terms of narrative and fandom. Injuries are part of the game-it takes a bit of luck to win a chip. Being healthy is rare at the end of the season. The whole Draymond Green ejection sure had signs of a narrative wanting Cleveland to have some advantage-but Draymond should have known that he would be baited. No excuse for some of the coaching decisions by Steve Kerr at the end of the series-going with Varejao and Ezeli and some of the rotational decisions were wack. As a GSW fan-I'm sure that there was a bit of being too confident that led into what happened-and injuries started early in that playoff run. Going for 73 wins was a risky move that in the end didn't pay off. Us Dubs fans always separate how fun that regular season was from the playoffs; it's a season with ultimately a sour feeling because of that greatness with how badly it ended.
If you say they won partly cause dray was out you have to say the year before the only reason warriors won was cause kyrie and love were out and Bron still took tbe warriors to 6 that series
The Warriors weren't officially "The Warriors" we know now in that 14-15 Finals. Bron had those boys where he wanted them but fumbled the bag. Regardless of no Kyrie or Love, they should've beaten the Warriors the first go around as well.
Bruh if u watched that shit u can tell the energy evaporate game 4 and 5. Bron did what he could but its impossible when u have no other cat who can take at least some pressure. Cavs were really beat up Delly was in the IV dude. Bron had a back injury, mosgov was getting benched after he had a great game 3. David blatt was braindead. The Cavs stood no chance. But it kinda showed me that Bron with jus Kyrie or Love not even both woulda ended them.
