About the part discussing Satch Squad: the invite TGI sent was only meant for one person and it only evolved into a raid later unintentionally. He has banned the perpetrators and apparently nothing else has happened since. Still, he said himself that he knew there were toxic people in the server so posting the link there was still pretty irresponsible, but at least there wasn't malicious intent for what it's worth.
Hey. I co-own the demon list with TGI and just wanted to write something up regarding the points you made in this video. I know the o word has been brought up so many times and people seem to be getting tired of seeing it, but obviously I need to address it. In all honesty, I don't really think the majority of the team cares whether or not the word is removed from the site. If it isn't removed, we wont argue it since we don't think it's something worth debating within the team. If it is, we wont argue that either. However, because stadust doesn't want it removed and he's the only one who can change the site, it has stayed there, and will until he removed it himself. However, now that I'm thinking about it a lot more now, there's not much reason for it to not be removed because there's really nothing we're going to lose by removing it. Not only does it being there not change much, but it NOT being there wont change much either. Therefore, I see no problem in having it removed. Does that mean it will surely be removed? No, as stadust does, indeed, have full control over the site itself and seemingly refuses to remove it, but obviously it doesn't mean it WON'T be removed either. About the "privacy" of the "reason" that TriTron pointed out, that private reason was the fact that a team member was supposedly going to get in touch with RobTop and ask if he would endorse it or not, which, to be honest, we all forgot about until now. I would bring up the Satch Squad stuff but it seems you and TGI have worked that out and I would have just said everything that he said so that part should be fine, other than the fact that Satch Squad is not a raid server, and I can safely say that as I'm in that server. Again, TGI apparently worked things out with that, so I'll move on. About the EndLevel situation, I was completely unaware that people were still thinking about it. From what I remember, an admin from the list team had responded to that in your first video about the demon list and admitted to that being a mistake made by someone on the team. However, I don't think that's anything to warrant saying "they haven't learned anything from this" because as far as I'm concerned, a situation similar to that hasn't occurred since. We've been extra careful since that situation and haven't messed up on something like this that hadn't been fixed within a couple of hours. Hopefully we can work things out as a result of all of this, and there won't be much bad blood between us when this situation blows over.
Just want to point out you think naming it the "official" doesn't matter. however, it is pretty important regarding the list. People see the word official and may believe it is endorsed by rooftop however it isn't currently. This means they may put a bit more trust into the list because the belief it is actually official and if the moderators of the list act immature as wherwin mentioned then it would damage the credibility of the list however since its "official" people may assume big figures of the game are like this. Which could make people not want to play therefore, possibly damaging the games player base (This really refers to people who are entering the community and don't really know much)
Wether or not it's removed isn't really the main point, I think Stadust acting on his own even though he's just hosting the site is the main issue. If there was some large scale disagreement with Stadust about the layout of the site there's nothing stopping him from just forcing through his own opinions, which is exactly what he's doing here. I would like to know why you felt the need to hide the fact that you were asking RobTop to give his endorsement to the list, because I can't think of a reason myself. Hiding information breeds suspicion, so transparancy is absolutely crucial. Lastly about EndLevel, I've been seeing a lot of conflicting opinions in the team about it, so I'm not sure if the team as a whole would be able to handle another such situation. Just because nothing has happened in the past year doesn't mean it can't happen again. After all, a situation like this doesn't happen very often in the first place. I suppose the only way I can figure out for certain if next time will be different is to wait and see. Maybe I'm being too pessimistic about this, or maybe my doubts are justified. Anyway, just to let you know I don't have anything against most of the team, most people I've talked to are actually pretty cool (stadust can suck my dick tho).
@@WHErwin All of what you said I complete agree with and I'll relay it to the team. I think when TriTron said that us asking RobTop about endorsement of the list was private info, I'm pretty sure he wanted to be safe and didn't really KNOW if it was private or not, so I don't really want to blame Tri for that. I don't see any reason for something like that to be private info, though, which is another thing I agree with. Also, if another situation like the EndLevel one were to come up, I can assure you there will be a greater deal of organization done to prevent another large issue.

Honestly, I don't see the importance of listing the website as "the official demon's list" because it's not going to effect very much in the long run. Also I didn't know you were a co-owner of the list so that's kinda cool.
@Technical49 the issue of the “o-word” isn’t so much that it’s misleading (it’s also that though), it’s more that the whole situation displays how the hierarchy on the team works. “I can’t change it so I’ll just leave it”. No, if it’s really something you guys or the community as whole wants, you should be able to just demand it and Stadust will change it because he isn’t the boss just because he can program, you are. To preface this, I’m not a fan of Tosh Deluxe, but the list banned him off of flimsy proof that doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. When Tosh attempted to prove that he is legitimate, the response was that he can’t prove himself because they were exposing him from when he wasn’t as good at the game. That’s a horrible way to treat something as sensitive as banning because it’s not giving the accused any chance to prove themself. This is really problematic, because imagine if this wasn’t someone with a large and loyal fanbase, they wouldn’t have been able to fight it. The thing that even worse is that after Tosh fought the claims and he kept getting the same response, he stopped and is still banned for literally no reason. The proof was that there were extra objects at the tops of his levels; they then took that and said he autoed devil vortex and then copied those objects to keep the object count consistent with the semi auto version. They gave locations they thought gravity change pads were. The only problem is that the locations didn’t make much sense and had random blank spots in the middle of them, to top it off, he buffed the level and also verified it on a private stream, so the object count wasn’t even public. It was an overall embarrassment for the list, but more recently I’ve heard some stirrings that he was kept banned for not putting that he was using FPS bypass in his video descriptions after he was already banned and didn’t have a reason to put that now that he didn’t need to abide by demon list rules. That’s hear-say, so don’t quote me on that one, but the first part did happen.
I’ve heard a bit of why removing official from their title is pointless. But I’m my opinion, it very much isn’t. It is simply a board of opinions between players of the game. Them using “official” in their name simply gives them credibility they don’t deserve. Also you gave a point that interests me. It is very clear that the demons list team favors certain creators and ignores others. Like how they said they would only take ‘good’ levels to be in the list, not hard levels. Obviously seeing the quality of levels on the lists they’ve already failed horribly but it can be confusing as to see what is going on in the team.
Never involved with the list. Cause I don't have any interests at all. But this time, I'm have something to say. I have a feeling that list mods are little biased. Making decisions based on their understanding instead of experience. Do they have a good understanding of the situation in the first place? Some of them do, I understand. Seems that having a "debate" or argument over a name "official" is really complicated huh. This situation could've been solved in 5 minutes or 5 months.
I think there's one concept that holds the point at the end back, talking about how we need to criticize the demon's list. This would be great, but this is the GD community we're talking about here. They wouldn't do jack squat, and they would encourage the bad behaviors of the mods. You said it yourself multiple times bringing up the EndLevel situation. The community doesn't care enough. I'm not going to comment on the rest of the video as I don't really want to start a whole debate over if the demons list is bad or not, but I believe he should've censored a good majority of the pastebin and the link to it so it isn't as widespread. Also I think your point of me being "immature" is ruined by you starting off by referring to me as, "Gay nigga mooshroom".
Regardless of it being public or having a way to expose it, you're still showing people how to actually do it, which is pretty careless. I get the point you try to make in the video, but you could've censored parts of it where it blatantly says how to do it to keep it at least a bit more contained.

Just out of interest, you say the way they handled the situation with EndLevel was bad, but it was a pretty awkward place to be in. How do you think this situation could have been handled better?

Personally, i think what they should do is use a community vote, where you do a poll and people vote for the demonlist spots. Sort of like you know, voting for president or some shit.

Here's my opinion on the situation The list more need to be better trained for these kind of situations. I can understand being put in a bad situation, but if the kids were put into that, shouldn't they go to the leader and have him help out, or is he just as unequipped as they are? I know for a fact some of those people are in touch with Robtop, if they couodnjusy get his blessing, this wouldn't be a problem.
I disagree that they should remove the official in the name because it is the official demon list and not a fake one. This is the main demon list people go to.
How about swapping the words? If they make it "*Official* home of the Demonlist" it will not only be more accurate, but also will resolve the issue with the demonlist not actually being official. This way, i think, the internal argument inside the team can be resolved too (in some way). The fact that the title is still not changed, even after more than a year, brings the question - does the list team actually control the website? If there's a team that can start such an argument about one word on a simple web page, i can't say anything good about the team itself. Don't get me wrong, i'm no saying the members are shit, i'm all about pretty much the same points the video has - poor management and lack of control. And once again about the website. Tbh if you are a leader of a team, and you establish a website, do have at least SSH access to the server, bc i cannot really understand how such a situation, when the team must obey the will of one single developer, is even possible if you manage everything properly. I know not everyone is a linux administrator, but to me it's not an excuse to not gain full control over what is done and how it is done, you are team leader after all.
The reason The Demons List hasn't changed it is because stadust (The only one able to make changes to the code of the website), deems it official, and refuses to move it, I feel like you are kind of involving the demons list and generalizing the team, when it is stadust who is refusing to cooperate. The whole team (2:55) is not responsible for stadust's misbehavior, and I feel like due to your history with the demons list that you are shifting the blame onto THEM, picture a group project with 20 people in school and that one guy isn't doing anything to support the team. This analogy doesn't make sense in this case as stadust does plenty to help the team, but do you see what I am trying to point out here? You should TRUST them because they are literally the only list of the hardest demons out there, and I trust them as accurate sources because they are literally thousands of time better than me, you (wherwin), and 99% of the community. The fact that they haven't removed the o word from the site does not affect their reliability at all. (3:13), maybe you should TRUST them, have some goddamn patience because I'm kind of sure that there is a reason to this, and as PoisoN said, they are "not just doing it to piss people off", which you made sure to not mention in your video and just put the ss up instead because people normally don't read them. The only reason you do this is to support your argument and twist the facts. (4:05) You could have a little trust and a little bit higher hopes for them, instead of automatically assuming that everything they are doing is going to be wrong because of your history with them. Endlevel Situation: Once again, you are twisting the facts. The reason the didn't want the pastebin to get out is because then loads of people would use the pastebin's hacking methods to hack, and they hadn't found a way to find if someone was using it. The reasons make perfect sense, would you rather have 1 hacker on the loose, KNOWING they were a hacker, or 10+ hackers on the loose, not knowing who was legitamte? (5:11), No, it sends the message that the Demons List unbanned him because, for the better of ALL of Geometry Dash, they didn't want many hackers on the loose at once. You are twisting the facts so much it is unbarable.(5:49), Yes, most of them should still be there, because they did literally nothing wrong, and you are generalizing all of the Demons List team into just the bad side because you hate them. Trust is something that's earned, not assumed. I'm not going to blindly trust them just because they're the only demons list around, if anything that's just a reason to trust them less. You do realise that it's a major problem that Stadust is acting on his own, right? Stadust is simply hosting the site, yet he is making executive decisions on his own without consideration. When EndLevel was using a method that was undetectable that should've been the moment when they started to increase the requirements when submitting records e.g. clicks in the video. After all, what if there was no way to detect EndLevel's method at all? The pastebin would've gotten around eventually. I had access to it too when it was happening. They neglected to implement a simple rule like this in favour of hoping there was a method and wasting a lot of time. When I said something similar was liable to happen again in the future I did not mean that someone would be using EndLevel's exact method. That's obviously ridiculous. What I meant is that someone could discover a new undetectable method to hack and get their records on the list, similarly to EndLevel, and the same situation would play out again. I thought this was pretty obvious. I even explicitly said that not all the mods were responsible for the raid, just some of them. You accuse me of twisting the facts, but you're no better yourself.

It seems like you complain just to complain.
The reason people wanted endlevel unbanned was because there wasnt any evidence presented by the team. This is why it's so important to be transparent, because otherwise it will cause misunderstandings. The community was right to pressure them considering what information they had, the mods just neglected to properly inform the community which caused the misunderstanding.
