In Depth Look At My 2024 Mustang GT! Is The Base The Version To Get?! 

The 5k for the performance pack gives you way too much to pass up. If you bought Brembo front and rear brakes, a Torsen diff, higher gears, different shocks, springs, sway bars, wheels, tires, larger radiator, chassis bracing and alignment, you'd be looking at almost double that amount. It would cost a lot to install and none of the aftermarket parts would be warrantied by Ford anyway. I am getting the PP and just adding an X pipe, lowering springs and spacers.

Very nice set up! I did a similar thing with my s550. Base GT, Black Accent package, 301A, and active exhaust. After 3 plus years, I haven't even felt the urge to mod it. No regrets whatsoever.

That’s a very nice spec! Especially with the seats and the vinyl, reminds of the California special seats! Also I thought the gt premium interior wise was still technically two separate displays except connected together and with a black bezel in the middle. I might order me one, I used to have a 2017 Mustang GT Premium in grabber blue with the recaros and 401A, was definitely a cool car but all the features I rarely used(recaros very uncomfy lol) I’ll probably stick to base spec like yours! I miss the Mustang, such a fun car!

This is so cool man I barely placed my order the last week of august. I also got the base model but added on the 301A Package, 10 speed auto transmission, nite pony package, active exhaust, and the brembo brakes! I feel like that's the best way to spec the base model gt cause it's not a super high price it's around 49k-51k and you're getting pretty much everything you can add onto it. Can't wait for it to come in so I can take delivery of it and hopefully start putting out content!

I would only delete the mid pipe get maybe a x pipe , an take out the air restriction nets in the air intakes. Then some sticky tires

It's hilarious that the base model has no power seats, but has all those screens! I actually don't mind the manual seats--they are faster-moving and no motors that will break. Really makes it easier for the passengers to get into the rear seats.

I have a 2018 Manual GT named Black Beauty that I bought new in April of that year. She's modded and has just over 500 hp. She's all black inside and out including the not stock wheels that look like performance pack wheels. The GT symbol, front grille Mustang logo, and 5.0 badges are blue to give a splash of a secondary color. The best part is that Black Beauty has been paid off since 2019. I like being debt free. The new S650 is sweet but I love my ride and we aren't parting until it drops or I do.

That’s actually decent set up . The only thing I’d add is the active exhaust. The single exhaust tip is not my thing.

I’m glad I made the choice to get the 301A it’s better for me so I can upgrade it with performance parts that I want. Since the S650 is so brand new I have time to see what the aftermarket will push out.

I’m one of those people who don’t understand why people buy the premium version of vehicles only to upgrade all the stuff you paid a premium for. Why pay $3500 for the PP only to rip it off to lower it. Or $2000 for active exhaust to only replace it with something different. I always chuckle to myself when I see an all modded out Jeep Rubicon. BTW I’d rather have the split screen. I think it would be a lot easier to replace the gauge display with a performance gauge display if you plan on doing that.

When I first saw grabber blue I thought it was way over the top. But now I see it’s the color I want!!! That thing is bad ass and with the night pony package that black is gonna pop!!!

Unlike a few years ago. Most auto manufacturers whether luxury or not no longer offers real leather and if they do. It's an option. It seems it's no longer politically correct. When looking at the new S650. There's several items that stand out. One is the improvement in overall build quality both inside and out. In the interior, Ford still uses plastic on the top of the doors, but that's to reduce wear that would happen with soft materials. But it looks good and fits well with the interior door design. Most professional reviewers actual like the carbon fiber look of the small amount of plastic on the door in certs. Unlike years past where they used basic plastic panels. They created an attractive look with the use of new soft touch materials throughout the cockpit. I'm a hugh fan of technology and the addition of the large digital screens. It appears the reason for the split screens is to separate the base from the premium. I must admit. I like the finished look of the full covered single panel. But both versions offer the same information. One item i can't remember is regarding the infotainment screen section is the lockout. Can you please reconfirm what portions of that screen can't be used when the car's in motion. Some complain that you have to use the screen for all the functions. In my current sedan. I set my temperature setting. Hit the auto climate button which stays set until I change it and the only time I revisit my digital screen is to raise or lower the temperature. The same applies to the heated and cooled seats. Most of my functions are locked out while driving or I'll use my voice command button. I don't see the digital screen being an issue as many comments on U-Tube seem to talk about while driving your Mustang. Enjoy your beautiful new Mustang GT. Question for you, do you have the same issue we have with our 2024 with the front wheel well openings? Directly behind the front wheels there is an opening in the inner fender well where small stones and sand get flung and collected? This opening gets stones flung into it and they become trapped by the full length protection board as well as wedged between the rocker moldings and the pinch weld. The end of the K member is exposed here as well and what little paint is on it is being chipped off. I made a video on our channel to show and hopefully bring attention to this problem. We love our GT but this is going to be a real problem if it is not addressed by Ford.

You can get steeds springs for $300, steeds struts and shocks for &600 and camber plates for 300. You don’t need the performance package

I opted for the 401A with active exhaust heated steering wheel fully loaded ! For 49k out the door and I love the leather seats

personally i cant do cloth seats in 2023, but the interior aside from the seat quality looks decent, but for me im getting a s550 premium with the performance package fully loaded rather than a new 2024 base model

They should done regular gage cluster instead of this funky side by side tablets.

No quad exhaust tips from factory is an automatic turn off. Other than that, the car is beautiful

I think if I got a 24 GT to daily drive I’d get something similarly spec’d to yours. I’d have to have active exhaust for quad exhaust. Don’t like the dual outlet exhaust on the new cars.

You should also, for shits and giggles, see if you can get a performance pack ecoboost and compare that to your old one. I think this would be good because there aren't too many people that go ecoboost to a 'new' ecoboost so there are no comparison reviews. I had the old 2016 and was FBO. I have the GT on order, but depending on pricing here in australia, i might go Eco again.... I hear good things from dyno numbers on the new one

Disappointed that that 301A package couldn’t give the passenger a powered seat. My 2018 101A package ecoboost has driver and passenger power seats.

301a definitely not worth IMO, but base 6 speed manual is the way to go. No premium, no 301a, no performance, and definitely not dark horse.

Those climate controls are the worst I've ever seen. Not only do you have to take your eyes off the road to find the button on the screen, but you have to press it first to even access the fan speed or temperature control, again with your eyes off the road. On my mustang I can just reach my hand over while looking at the road, and adjust the dial.

What is Mustang quality and reliability like? I’m used to great reliability but am afraid that these muscle cars are all horsepower and the rest sucks.

How is this a 301A package? Isn't the 2024 Mustang GT only available with a 400A and 401A equipment group? Let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks.

I've had mustangs for over 10 years now have a 16 gt350. I like the s650 but let's be real...all we do is sit on screens all day with our phones. It was not a good look or move to have those screens. Other than that I like it.
