I was eleven years old when I watched In Living Color, so it trips me out that people here are just now discovering that Jim Carrey was in a sketch show on Fox in the 90s. Awesome. 🐾
yes, but what you dont understand that while you were watching gay thing, people were in war ..and what you dont know is that some leaders from your country were involved attacking other countries... so they made this gay video so you dont know what is going on around ... and so you never find the truth ... but ye Jim was great earlier...
Just to let you know, he’s about to be blacklisted when they found out about the alicia silverstone incident and that interview where he’s flirting. But hes also about to retire so good timing i guess.
@@starwarsrebel2006 nothing i’m just saying they are making a homophobic statement and the only way that they would know how pride is that the went to pride
I would bet that all the people that commented below, 5-12 years ago, would have never believed this is pretty much how things are in 2022. I have witnessed such an event...
"A stubble Rubber". 😂😭🤣😂 This shyt was absolutely brilliant The alphabet Academy of today In Living Color did satire on everything and it was hilarious.
Well that’s not gonna happen. Not anymore at least, because he’s not Jim Carrey anymore. He’s past his prime. The only way to “have more Jim Carrey in your life” is to just keep watching his old movies back when he still was Jim Carrey such as… Ace Ventura, the Mask, Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar etc 😉
I'm kind of glad this exists. We got all the gay jokes out before it became serious and offensive. It kind of worked out all around, didn't it? It's a distant memory from the past. And LGBT people who are good sports will get a good chuckle out of this. I lol'd at "is this line all gay?"
No. That's a completely normal reaction to the vibrating palm. A move so deadly you'd have heard of it, had 93% of the people it was used upon not instantly died.
SOME homosexuals not all of them. Some gays are cool and they're usually the ones you didn't even know were homosexual until after you really get to know them. Some gays suck, they're usually the ones that make being homosexual their entire personality and throw it in your face
30 years ahead of its time??? I don’t think so! This was exactly at the right time it should’ve been because these days this would’ve been offensive beyond belief! This is real life now and not something to be made fun of like back then. In 1990, this was funny because gays weren’t accepted back then so to speak. Now everybody would say this is an offensive skit
Or he is satirising the nightmarish fantasies of heterosexual men on the 90s, when everyone thought gay people would be walking around with nothing better to do then harrassing people.
So tell me how many people come up to you in 2023 and pronounce out loud they are gay? However if a person does say they are gay there is always a religious bigot stating how it is a sin and how they want them executed.
Michael lbach:You’re an idiot if you think skits like this turned anyone gay. The reason skits like this exist is because people who shouldn’t care weather someone’s gay or straight unfortunately want to make it into an “issue” or a “problem”.
I think this series of sketches was aimed at those certain gay guys we’ve all known that feel the need to point out that they’re gay at every opportunity, even though no one actually gives a shit.
Almost. It was back in the day when everyone was either 'straight' or 'gay.' Bi wasn't a thing yet. Turns out it's pretty rare for men to not partake in women. However, it's also rare for men to not partake in men.
I know. Most people have always been bisexual. That's why I was mocking the heteronormative situation of pre 21st century by putting straight and gay in quotes.
@Hercule Poirot Take in to account the year this was made. It was doing what comedy does . . .make you feel uncomfortable and laugh at your insecurities. Take in to account the show was primarily aimed at the African American community.
With everything that's going on in 2023, everything I see in the news makes me think of this skit. So far ahead of its time. So I had to revisit this, thanks for posting .
This skit is relevant today, not because of the gay aspect, but because of today's incessant need to parade one's individualism out to the world for validation and vanity's sake.
And being told "you're just frightened of something you don't understand" when really you're perfectly fine with it and just don't want it shoved in your face obnoxiously.
@@flubnub266 and when we should actually try to improve the relationships between men and women, since heterosexual relationships are still (and prob will always be) the vast majority of all relationships... families (in this case I dont care of what sexual orintation) should get more support in general. Children need support and not divorcing parents who are fighting for custody...
We laugh at this yet back then. sadly there are people now who use this 1 dimensional trait to define themselves. Which isn't exclusive to being gay or not
It's skits like this that made me turn off In Living Color. I knew many people of color who absolutely denied that there were gay men and women of color. It was their belief that a God-fearing person of color would never have anything to do with homosexuals or homosexuality. ILC didn't " laugh with gays ", it denigrated and laughed AT gays.
@@howardkerr8174 exactly! That was the whole point. Back when this skit was first made and ILC was going, was the time when it was actually funny to make fun of homosexuality
Carrey was hilarious in this. It's extra funny because I've met a few gay guys who will go out of their way to let people know they're out of the closet 😂
This is an amazing prediction of the world of today. Some people who are gay think that most straight people care that they're gay, but most of us really don't
It's really sad. Because I don't care about a person's sexuality, everyone definitely should be treated equally. But pride just urks me, I don't like any form of pride. It's the month of June, so it's fitting to say this. I'm expecting to be bashed on for saying this.
@@MisterAutist it started as a illegal protest and then turned into a big party. Nude women and men paradise g around in front of young children which is like grooming. Leftists say that kids can handle the kink...they proberly have no idea what those gay adults are doing ...the organizers have wanted to turn it into a more family friendly parade....that has t happened .
Jim Carrey even then predicted what would happen in the world, how everyone would dump it on display and shout at the top of their voice to everyone! 😂
i have always loved this sketch. carol rosenthals deadpanned,"THERES A GAY MAN DOWN NEAR TABLE TWO, A GAY MAN DOWN NEAR TABLE TWO." always gets me. plus its jim carrey. no one should be offended by this.
Honestly its mostly Americans gays like this. Can't really blame them. Sure most people don't care but vast horde of religious nutjobs are out to get them.
I'm gay, but I agree that it's kinda weird when a gay person has to relate everything to their sexuality, like they're not just another person with their own interests and hobbies. There's also straight people who do this too though, so I don't think it's necessarily a gay person thing.
Its even more annoying when straight people do it. You're 97% of the population, cool. I always thought gay people just did it to signal to other gay people that theyre also gay.
