I remember watching the Black World sketch when it came out and even then I thought not many people were too political back then, that they actually thought Black World was a comedy sketch. It was more of a statement on how black people were not being represented in the world, so the little girl Chrissy had to invent a world where she was included. Great sketch, great acting and it brought a tear to my eye in the end when she didn't want to leave Black World.
watching today for the first time since i was 7. i always felt so uneasy about the sketch as a kid. maybe bc it was a scratched dvd but wow. strong skit
Really? You know when she said "release the political prisoners, she said mandela and then James brown!!! The Mandela/south Africa part was most political she got!!
@@xboxhussy37 stating the inequality for black people in America during the 80s is a political statement and when she said to free James brown it was because he had been arrested and people actually wore Free James Brown t-shirts. Everything in that sketch was about the state of the U.S. in the 80s when it came to African Americans equal treatment.
@@TheRayInPV yep I get it,but you do realise your watching black Americans on their own show, making money, becoming famous and shit? And giving jobs to white people! Yeno ,this family was running their own shit, and people like me in the U fkin K still remember it,and remember it fondly!! I say back in the day they knew exactly what they were doing and we all knew aswell!! It was amazing to all,and they are well respected for it.They moved mountains to get were they got, and it should get more credit. They had and still have respect from my generation,It was funny and there was msgs, and they should have got more from the TV people. Know this, from people all over the world, black and white, whatever you call yourself, this generation was the last one to NOT ACTUALLY BE FKIN RACIST!!
Unfortunately, they're trying to take over this world with constant BLM movies and ads all over the damn place these days 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 that will be the day I get the hell off this planet, I will never let a bunch of minorities take over this world
I was a kid when this show came out but that didn’t stop me from watching it. This show was so funny at heck. And though the show didn’t age well and would get cancelled in todays climate, it still the GOAT in terms of comedy. Miss this show and wish we could enjoy stuff like this once again. Ain’t gonna lie, but I enjoyed their MVs the most though.
If I ever hit the lottery...I would pay ANY "In Living Color" personalities, team them up w/ ANY "Mad TV" talents and film it. Make a TON of money in ANY time, especially now when everything is reboot/remake/TV show to movie and vice versa.
I forgot how funny In Living Color was. In this day and age of political correctness, they will never get away with making a TV comedy skit like this without a hundred law suits. Hefty World😅😅😂😂
Yall remember 90’s highschool, the big hair , the color block clothes. The new music that was coming out , i want to high school Bay Area, no hate all colors etc I miss those days Auto shop when the guy shows up with two cerwin vega twelves in his honda civic with a lanzar amp😢🎉😎😎👍👊🫵.
He said a mouthful about the importance of becoming a married man in moving ahead in the corporate world. Being clean shaven is also very strongly encouraged.
What happened to the musical rock band that they were? "Cult of Personality " was a jam; I liked that song! Did some members decided to go into sitcom?
Bible says the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life Jesus said the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life and God died for the whole entire world he died for your sins at the cross when we reject Jesus Christ will die in our staying fit so many people that are dying
