In the heart of San Francisco's Marina District lies a Beaux-Arts architectural treasure: the Palace of Fine Arts. California architect Bernard Maybeck originally developed the Palace as a temporary structure for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, and even intended for the monument to decay into a romantic ruin. Instead, the citizens of San Francisco banded together to preserve the building, and the Palace remains as one of San Francisco's enduring icons to this day.

Suzanne is one of the four founding Directors of the Northern California Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art and currently Director Emeritus, having served on the board for fourteen years. She also serves as a Director on the National ICAA Board and has co-chaired the Arthur Ross Awards in New York since 2014.
