Guy was having difficulties with urination including painful bladder. He was very apprehensive, but his fears abated after he saw images of his bladder and prostate. UroLift procedure was "phenomenal". His "life has changed dramatically". "Sexual function is fine." He states it's not a big deal, and "would do it again in a heart beat."
Patients typically recover in less than one week, often not requiring any pain medications after the procedure, and enjoy immediate positive results. No uncomfortable catheter is typically needed, and this procedure may be done in the doctor's office.

I had this done three weeks ago Here in Arizona but by my own urologist. I had it done under general anesthesia. The first couple of days were uncomfortable, some blood clots but by day seven I was feeling pretty good. At three weeks I was hiking again, lifting, sleeping 3-5 hours without getting up. Very happy I did it ( and I’m NOT a patient of this urologist).

Just had my urolift done today under anesthesia. The surgery itself is painless but the catheter is extremely uncomfortable. I have the sensation that I have to urinate really bad. I'm removing the catheter in the morning. Can't wait.

In April of 2021 I had the procedure done and felt great for the first time since 2016, five years on pills. The pills for the pre-op the morning really helped and there was no pain, 20-mins in the office then later I was home. Around two months after the procedure, I started to get the urgency to urinate more often or maybe that could be some of the side effects. I feel that the procedure was a temporary fix but unsure about my future.

I had the procedure in June of 2022. Total failure. Just had a TURP procedure last week and hopeful that will correct the problem. The Eurolift procedure was the most painful medical procedure I've ever had...and I've had six spine surgeries, two hernia operations, two heart catheterizations...and worse than that, it didn't work. My urologist did it with Nitrous Oxide gas that was supposed to make it painless, and that was a total joke. I was literally screaming during this procedure. And worse than that, during the TURP procedure I had last week, he even removed some of the clips from the Urolift.

I had the procedure done in 2019 and continue to get very good results. My procedure was done in a hospital. When I awoke from the anesthesia I noticed I had a stink. Thinking it was the stint that was making me feel like I had to pee every 10 minutes, I asked the doctor if it could be removed. He replied, "let's see how your doing in 6 hrs. and we'll see". Well in 6 hrs. I was doing fine, he removed the stint and let me go home. That was a mistake on my part. I would suggest leaving the stint in for at least a day. You are going to have to pee every 15 minutes anyway for the first day or two. Taking the stint out meant I had to run to the bathroom every time I wanted to pee. Big mistake.

Mine failed after 3 years. I'm scheduled for a TURP in June. Hopefully that will be the final procedure.

I had the urolift with lidocaine and nitrous oxide, I felt every poke and pinch as they were placed. IT HURT LIKE HELL! The next day I took the grandmonsters to the aviary and walked around without a catheter. The first week I found myself Appling Aspercream to my perineum so I could get to sleep with the pinching pain. I can still ejaculate, and I only get up once a night instead of 3 or 4 times, but I still have the pinched feeling in my perineum, and I still have urgency during the day 3 months later. Overall I think a better medicine than Tamsulosin would have been a better thing to try first and if the urgency doesn't get better I will see my PCP and ask for Tadalafil next month. I'm thinking that this was maybe the wrong proceedure for me, but I have had better results than my friends who had Rezum or turp.

THE WORST THING ABOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS FOR ME IS WEARING A CATHETER, I THOUGHT THE URINE FLOW IN THE CATHETER WAS THE SAME FLOW AS IF YOU WERE URINATING INTO THE TOILET BUT IT SEEMS LIKE IT TRICKLES DOWN LIKE A I-V DRIP, WHEN YOU GET THE URGE TO URINATE AND FORCE IT OUT, IT RUNS DOWN THE OUT SIDES OF THE CATHETER AND DOWN YOUR LEG INTO YOUR SOCK AND SHOES AND MAKES A BIG MESS, PLUS IT BURNS LIKE HELL WHEN YOU FORCE OUT THE PISS. AND IT HAS ALOT OF BLOOD

Insurance company refuses to pay for Cialis yet it is the best for BPH relief. They think it is for ED only, and as such not necessary. Men should not have any fun...God forbid.

@@scotniver7180 I got it. I have paid at least $2500 out of pocket and insurance got the rest. It is two months post surgery and I guess insurance got the rest as I have not had another bill ................................... yet. I have gotten only minimal if any improvement. I can usually "go" more quickly and completely now but sometimes I have a weak dribbling stream. I still go just as much. In reality to my mind there is no reason why I should go less. My urethra was opened up and any restrictions on urine leaving the bladder have been removed. But the root cause of excessive urination was not solved. This was explained to me as a temporary procedure in that it should last a few years but its long term efficacy is unknown as to just how long it will be. I probably will not repeat this surgery. The two days post surgery were bad. I had a Foley catheter and that is a real drag. The pain was bearable but itching from the catheter will drive you to drink!

Paying a patient for anything to potentially increase Medicare utilization is called "inducement", and is a crime. We don't break laws here. Good try though!
