Great video I did the stage 2 cams on my 2018 chieftain an Lloyd's remote tune an when I get on it I can feel the slipping with the clutches I'm goin with the performance clutches an hope that they hold when I get on it which they should an the bike pulls harder waiting for the video after the next ride to hear your opinion ride safe.
I have the stage two performance package as well on my 16 Chieftain and guys…. My clutch been slipping for a while now too when I’m feeding her the beans. I need that clutch upgrade too!
Your video had came up on my suggested videos to watch. Although I don't need to replace my clutch pack anytime soon, I do appreciate the tips given in your video. How much of a difference did you feel when pulling back on the clutch lever, before and after the clutch installation? I'm sure that it was noticeable. Thanks for the video!
Believe it or not, it wasn't a big noticeable difference. You're the first person to ask about that, and I appreciate it, because you just made me realize that it wasn't something that stood out enough for me to notice. It was just spot on shifting without a lot of slag between gears. Thanks for the holla back! 😎👍
@@gettinsomewind6384 thanks for the quick response. I had imagined that the stiffer springs would have made a difference. I'll keep this clutch pack in mind when I finally need to replace mine.
I think I'm in for a trip to the stealership....I have a 2017 Roadmaster with the 111 Thunderstoke. I went with the Barnett's Extra Plate clutch kit and followed the directions to the letter. When I took off my primary cover, the shift shaft that sits below the clutch basket came off; it seems like it just sits in that slot and isn't affixed. I inserted it back into the hole along with the metal spacer, but my bike is now stuck in 1st gear and the clutch cable doesn't let any pressure off for me to shift. Any way I can get in touch with you before I break down and tow it in for a hefty bill?
Sorry to hear about that! Send me an e-mail address so we can connect by phone. It may just be a simple re-do hopefully. I have had to put my shift shaft back up in there before, so maybe I can help you out.
@@gettinsomewind6384 - for some reason, RU-vid would not let me post any contact information. I'm good to go, though. I had to fully disassemble the clutch and take off the basket to get to the shift shaft. This Barnett's Extra Plate kit is THE BUSINESS! Like you said - it is a game changer. Thanks Wind Seeker!
Hi, I have a few questions for you if I can. How much mileage did your Indian have that you change the clutch? I have a Vintage 2018 mileage of about 26 thousand and the clutch I at 6 speed slightly prokletí, it is probably not good vi? I always try to change gears, but it probably doesn't have as much effect. For one, two, three, four, five, it's fine. Thank you for your reply and rounds down 🙂
I didn't have any clutch issues when I upgraded. I just wanted the extra torque and tighter shifts. The gas mileage was still good even after the upgrade.
