Disney forgot to de-age Harrison Ford’s voice and jumped the shark with the time travel bit at the end; almost seemed like they remade National Treasure.

I honestly *_don’t care_* WHAT negativity is being _needlessly_ thrown at this film, I *AM* looking forward to it (😁)!

“We want to make REAL as possible” that’s why we chose CGI over stunt doubles. SO REAL!

I really enjoyed the movie as it delivered a thrilling adventure from start to finish. However, there were a few aspects that I wished were different: Helena's character: Although I understand Helena is meant to be similar to Indy from "The Temple of Doom," always focused on money and having a young sidekick, I would have liked to see some remorse from her when she attempted to sell an item that was dear to her father. Transformation of Rinaldo: Instead of introducing a character who shows up at the end to help the heroes (the sleepy pilot), I would have preferred to see Rinaldo portrayed as a skilled pilot who saves Indy and company. This would have allowed for potential chemistry between Rinaldo and Helena, and the possibility of a future franchise with them embarking on adventures together. I would have loved to see Antonio Banderas continue Indy's journey with Helena. Even with different style of adventures. "Helena and Rinaldo searching for the Kronos' hourglass" for the next installment. Changing the ending location: Rather than returning to an apartment with annoying neighbors in America, I think it would have been more captivating to end the movie in Sicily. This would have provided a new and visually stunning setting, with Indiana Jones and Marion enjoying a beautiful panorama while Indy is recovering from his wounds, from these last adventure and from an adventurous lifetime. It is also more believable than going back to America unconscious. It could have also given a satisfying conclusion for Sallah's character. Helena still has the diamonds from Voller, so buying a house should be possible. But overall I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and appreciate James Mangold's direction, Harrison Ford's performance and the work of the cast and crew. The movie didn't feel lazy; instead, it was filled with real sets and adventurous sequences. That's what I was hoping and expecting. I had fun watching it.

Some people still know that real is better. Christopher Nolan is one of them, Guilermo del Toro is one of them, Tom Cruise is one of them, Tomer Sisley is one of them and I'm glad both Mangold as Ford are two of them. CGI is nice, but only when really needed.

Fantastic film, ignore the whiny old babies on RU-vid and RT, such a great final film.

We didn’t know what to expect when we went to see this - but we were honestly so surprised by any negative critical reception. This felt like a wonderfully old fashioned action adventure film with the perfect blend of thrills, tempered comedy and heart with a solid pulse throughout. Forever puzzled… honestly wondering if we watched the same movie!

Yet every review notes that the effects look fake. This has clearly been released to combat all of the comments about the CGI which from a marketing perspective I appreciate. When ILM and Lucasfilm raise this type of commentary on its effects then someone somewhere is doing something wrong IMO

There is sadly some action for the sake of action in this wonderful film.

Opens in Europe tomorrow, on the 28th. Watching it in the biggest THX certified cinema here in Copenhagen (Denmark) at 11.30 am and again right after that at 3 pm - and I CAN'T WAIT..! Words can't describe how excited I am and I can't believe the wait is almost over.

"It's not action for action's sake" That right there is why I'm rightfully looking forward to Dial of Destiny rather than Mission Impossible 7: Look At Me STUNTS! Part 1 of 2. You can parachute out of a blimp on an elephant for all I care. Without story, characters and emotion...an action movie is nothing but a highlight reel. That shit belongs on the Netflix action line up and the big budget schlock. Indiana Jones has done, and will do better again in DoD.
