He is just glad it’s over, why are you ok with Lucasfilm denigrating, negating and emasculating said characters, examples see Han, Luke, Vader, Obi wan, now Jones-all which is clear as a corporate agenda for these legacy character to be cucked by a op female insert character. And as a film goes the overuse of cgi, horrible writing-see Helena telling us how awesome she is in tuk tuk chase not showing us is clearly a problem, as well as killing established legacy characters to move the plot forward rather than just give us another serialized episode is completely not in keeping with Spielbergs Lucas vision.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Dysentery It was so bad, so god awfully boring. Nothing happens in the entire movie to make it feel like an Indiana Jones movie. It was so bad it made me question why I ever cared about the Indiana Jones character in the first place. The fleabag was more shoehorned into the script than Mutt was in the last pseudo Indy movie. The CGI for the younger Indy was pretty good, and by that I mean the face but, it's very jarring to hear old man Harrison Ford's raspy voice coming out of the younger Indiana Jones. No digital.chicanery was done to the voice to make it sound younger. As the trailer informed us that theft was merely capitalism, I like a good capitalist, watched a pirated copy of the film, and it was such an abomination I still feel I deserve a refund. *Warning* this movie may cause depression and thoughts of suicide. Parental supervision, and professional therapy is advised.
@@fedup5651 It's definitely not in league with Raiders/Temple/Crusade...but really, nothing ever will be. Gods, you're right though. The tone is sort of depressing. Like, the theme of Raiders is this serious/straight eerie movie, Temple is dark, then Crusade goes for a lighter/humorful motif. Skull also leans more into humor and "legacy". This one had the tone of gut punch from Pat Roach. Like...I can't say I hated it, but it just...it really made me sad.
@@fedup5651 I agree except for CGI for young indy was awful, it looked like a character that escaped from a PS3 game. They tried to hide with rain and darkness but it completely failed.
@@Nicolas-we1ji Hi, there. 🙂 And yes me too. Although many years later I saw the 3rd movie in the cinema of the German movie museum but that doesn´t count. Wanted to watch the 4th one in the movies but it didn´t happen.
This will be the first movie I see on opening night since Avengers Endgame. I seriously can't even believe that we are actually getting a new Indiana Jones movie. Never thought it would happen again. Can't wait!
With literally everything being that is a franchise or just something nostalgia; remade, rebooted or just dragged on, you seriously thought there wouldn’t be another Indiana jones?
I'm so hyped for the new one. After Crystal Skull, I was looking for news on a fifth movie for ages. We heard nothing but rumours for so long and I'd almost given up on ever seeing a new film. Hope this ends up leading to more games, shows, books, comics like we got in the past. I'm kinda tired of Star Wars but I could always go for more Indy
Prepare to be disappointed then. Indiana Jones is my favorite movie franchise of all, how i love watching the originals on a lazy Sunday. This thing they just put out is not an Indiana Jones movie.
So excited for Indy 5. Been following the franchise since I was in secondary school. No one plays Indiana Jones better than the legendary Harrison Ford.
@@visualsinfilm98 I want it to be a success I love Indy and have my whole entire life. I just know not to have any expectations on this being any near what Indy was when I was a child in the 1980’s it can’t possibly be by the story’s design alone but I do want it to succeed sadly tho I don’t think with this film’s budget that’s ballooned to epic proportions can be a success
The reviews and critics have had they say about the film but it's better for you to have your own final Indiana Jones adventure experience. Homely it will be a good one.
I saw the film last weekend and thought it was just okay. The only thing that I enjoyed about the film was of course Harrison Ford. But Im one of those people who didn’t like what they put his character through , it reminded me of what they did to Han Solo before he died.
There are early screenings for it some people have already seen it and so far everyone that has seen it says it good it’s probably the best one since temple of doom
I hope there’s a lot of good visual jokes like in the first movie. I loved the little details in it like how Brody steals Indy’s apple on the desk and the villain looking like he’s bout to beat Marion with nunchucks but he just turns it into a coat hanger 😂
I never knew Disney and Paramount Pictures involved in this latest Indiana Jones movie. They co-produced Popeye (1980) and Dragonslayer (1981). Disney and Paramount Pictures are great partners.
I’m so excited for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny I have grown up on this franchise. I have been waiting for this adventure all of my life since after Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
The perfect action adventure trilogy ended with the hero riding off into the sunset in 1989. Lucas miscalculated with switching genres (50’s sci fi B - movies) in 2008 and pushing beyond believability as established by the trilogy…. and now this iteration is poised to lose money (legit outlets projecting, initial Cannes reaction, and now advance screening reactions). Action has a name, it’s the Indiana Jones trilogy and it has a hallowed place on my shelf. Indications are I will never pay to see this - and I feel bad for Harrison on this, he deserves better writing.
I loved "Raiders of The Lost Arc" and "...The Last Crusdae." They are the best of the series. I liked seeing the relationship between Indy and his dad (Sean Connery). It was a fractured relationship, but they loved each other. I can't wait to see this!
Happy to see Harrison Ford play Indiana Jones again I'm sad that be the last time of him playing that character Indiana Jones always my favorite franchise 👏❤️💯😢. James Mangold is absolutely terrific director I can't wait to see Indiana Jones 5
This is going to be bittersweet for me. I’ve grown up watching Indiana Jones, I still remember watching Raiders of the Lost Ark on VHS for the first time. I’ve enjoyed all the Indy movies, even Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has grown on me more over the years. I can’t wait to see this in a couple of weeks. My wife has never seen Indiana Jones before so we’re doing a rewatch of the previous four
I hope so too. But i'm not worried either way. Its not like they can take my blu-rays of the first 4 movies away from me. I can always just say the 5th is non canon fanfiction, or only semi canonical. Since Lucas had no involvement.
Excited for this movie, sad to hear this will be the last movie in the franchise. But at least it will end it successfully. I’m gonna ignore all haters, this movie will be great.
All I want is a good audience score and great box office results, and who knows? The scores for the new Pixar movie, Elemental increased from 54% to 79%, so maybe the scores for this reviews for Dial of Destiny might get to a 75%.
tears man real tears! I cant wait for this. Were never getting another opportunity like this. Unless Harrison decides to do another one. Maybe one where hes fully deaged. That would be amazing!
Harrison Ford the legend, one of my all time favorite actors, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was an amazing adventure, Thank you for making my childhood special with your amazing movies 🤠
@@joe2grand tbh I don’t rly care what they say. If I think it’s good, I’ll be happy. Not expecting it to be on the level of raiders or last crusade, I just want it to be enjoyable
😢 i am a great fan of Harrison Ford it's the one Indiana Jones forever and me, hi scripts of hi writing for the movies all a the future movies Indiana Jones 6 for Harrison Ford and the thanks Harrison.
Harrison Ford is truly a wonderful and fantastic actor to play Indiana Jones and nothing could replace him. I will always remember him as Indiana Jones.
Even though many people don't like it. I love the last movie. In a world that no longer cared for Indiana Jones, but the nostalgic ending made it all worthwhile to watch it at the movies once last time.
Because the Pink Hat/Msm/DNC-AI BOTs are not busy rigging elections right now..… Yeah, Social engineering and gaslighting for Hollywood is the “day job” for the U.N./DNC/Brussels/ satanic / Rainbow cult/ cultural Marxist/ socialist trash and their army of AI comment bots..
@@sipioc it’s either that or accept the Wrongs done by the cultural Marxists.. Better to stay angry and FIGHT like heck than take steps backward and accept the changes that the Pedophilic, election rigging, gender cultists/deviants are attempting to ram through and normalize....
I want a Time Machine… Gotta go back and try and keep the woke crap from ever happening..(Bush’s 9-11 inside job and the satanic Obama placement) This reality took a turn for the worst…
Remember seeing the OG. about 7 times in the theaters. Took my Mom one of those times. It reminded her of the Sat. Matinee Serials she used to watch in the Theater during World War II. Definitely a Cross Generational Franchise. So glad we got to see it in theater. Had no choice No VHS or DVD back then!
@@Isaacthebiggestmoviefan57 , because the time travel device is more crystal skull than raiders. Even in the previews, it is clear the character of indy and the franchise are not being respected.
Jesus Christ! I've never seen Indiana Jones so close to death before lol. Also, LucasFilm/Disney must be absolutely gutted that Ke Huy Quan's acting success didn't come sooner as Short Round & Indy teaming up for one last adventure would have got butts into seats on Day 1! Even if Indy looks like he's one step away from a stroke lol
My inner childhood is so happy and sad at the same time, knowing this is the final adventure of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, truly inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and explore the outside world and make our own adventures.
I was going to correct you and say it's "inner child". But I looked up the word childhood and now I think we should update the expression to match how you say it.
and now the reviews are out and DOD is slow in parts and the ending will be contentious? Do the director, editor and execs not sit in a roomand see the problems during screenings and then FIX them.
@@Dreyfuss_The_Guy I really liked a lot of of Kingdom of the Crystal skulls but so far it is my least favorite in the Indiana Jones movie franchise. George Lucas is an excellent creative writer. Steven Spielberg is an excellent movie director. Disney is good at; sexualizing kids, promoting abortion, being racist towards Caucasians, and is for radical modern feminism.
@@Dreyfuss_The_Guy But Spielberg actually liked the first script better than the one they used. Frank Darabont wrote the actual first screenplay and he's done a lot of great work. However, George Lucas didn't like Darabont's script. So Lucas changed writers for Crystal Skull. I've always heard that the Darabont script was better than the one they ended up with. So honestly, I have never blamed Spielberg for this. Lucas has always had a strong hand in the way these films are made, story and all. You need to keep that in mind if you look at the totality of these films. Sure, now Disney has the rights. So Lucas no longer holds a tight grip on these films.
I agree, however, Lebouf should never return as Mutt. Lebouf said in an interview that Crystal Skull wasn't any good and it was Spielberg's fault. This didn't go over well with Spielberg. Later, Lebouf said he had been too hard on Spielberg. But, it was too late. Spielberg hasn't had anything to do with Lebouf since and I can understand why. Spielberg had always supported Lebouf, saying only good things about him and he took an opportunity to help Lebouf with his career and to give him advice and Spielberg even told Lebouf to quit smoking because it was bad for his health. Spielberg really like him and Lebouf just basically shit on him publicly for Crystal Skull not being better. Actually, it was never Spielberg's fault because he loved Frank Darabont's original script for the 4th installment of Indiana Jones. But, Lucas didn't like the screenplay so he had David Keop write another screenplay. From everything I've heard, Darabont's screenplay was much better than the one they ended up using. Everyone needs to remember that Lucas once had a strong hold on these films. However, now, since Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney for 4 billion dollars. So Lucas no longer has any say in anything to do with Lucasfilm. So I can see why Mutt is not in this film. I honestly think that Lebouf could have been in this film. But since he acted like an asshole, I seriously doubt that he'll ever be a part of these films and for good reason. However, I do agree with you about Short Round. I wish he was in Indy 5 too.🙂
Oh Buddy, We could still have a Chance for a Short Round Cameo! Like a Secret Thing. Also, You’re right about Shia LaBeouf being a Asshole. Even now, I can see it in his Face that He’s a Bit of a Bully and has a Short Temper. I can see why he doesn’t deserve to Return. Indy 4 should’ve kept the Sci-Fi 50s B movie Aesthetic and It would’ve been Amazing! All in All, Thank you for Agreeing with me and Le Huay Quan did get cheated out of a Reunion with Indy If we don’t get that Cameo
I'm ready for this movie. Good or bad this is officially how it ends. Noe i can be as childish as i want and day it ended after the last crusade, steller movie and my favorite in the franchise, but that isn't how it works. As Salah said "GIVE EM HELL INDIANA JONES!" Lets go on one last adventure together for old time sake.
