*I was actually a member of the orchestra that worked with, John* … great experience overall - if you listen to the theme in the movie - I’m playing the Cowbell.
I'm so happy John Williams scored this film. It really feels like a final hurrah for the classic Lucasfilm team (Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshal, and John Williams)
John Williams is the greatest film composer of all time. Jaws, Christopher Reeve Superman, Close Encounters, Jaws 2, Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Dial of Destiny, Hook, E.T., Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Memoirs of a Geisha, Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Williams is forever untouchable and immortalized.
My favorite film composer❤ He also did scores for the first 3 films of the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, as well. That, ‘Empire of the Sun’, and ‘The Patriot’
Fitting that Indy’s final movie is also John’s. Thank you for all your memorable and iconic themes Mr. Williams. Cinema wouldn’t have been the same without you!
John Williams is an icon, he did an amazing soundtrack for Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny at 91 years of age, he’s an absolute legend. His soundtrack added so much to the movie👏👏👏👏🎶🎧
I listen to John Williams music every single day! It is so powerful and positive that I can’t begin or end a day without his inspiration and genius. I am grateful beyond words. Keep going!❤️☮️🌹
I have nothing but respect and praise for John Williams he has composed my childhood, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Superman, Jaws, Jurassic Park I could on
The Adventure Lives On!! 1:36 1 don't know why they're saying this movie sucks. THIS IS THE THIRD BEST IN THE FRANCHISE after raiders and crusade. The special effects for his young self was the most realistic I've ever seen. The way they brought us back with the original vibe in the opening was perfect and the story was amazing. Also, I've never watched a movie before in Theaters that got me so excited in its climax that I started laughing from how awesome and original it was towards the end. Spoilers below 1 mean how many movies exist where time travel is this awesome other than back to the future and Endgame. 1 mean they flew a World War 2 Nazis plan from 1969 back in time to 214 BC where it flew over ancient Roman warships and actually started shooting at them. The implication alone is out of this world. 1 give this movie 10/10.
Would love a complete score for the film. The tracks that we have for Indy 5 are nice, but it would great to have to the reused cues from the other films since they appear in the first 20 minutes of the movie.
Why didn't Lucas Film / Disney think this score was worthy enough of a bigger CD release? First new JW score that had such a very limited release. I don't understand it.
She's been working on Indiana Jones since the 80's, she was originally assistant to Spielberg and then became producer on Temple of Doom. She's actually produced on a lot of classic films, including E.T., Gremlins, Goonies, Jurassic Park and even Back to the Future, so it's not her first time, she got her job as Lucasfilm president because of her experience working with Spielberg and Lucas over a lifetime.
@@RedZeshinX do you work for her agent or her PR firm? You keep repeating the same post with only a few words changed. The movie is going to lose a lot of money. She’s quantifiably damaged the 3 major film IPs that Disney bought with Lucasfilm. My children literally only play with original and prequel Star Wars toys. They have all 9 films but the last three only came out of box set once to watch while the first six are on a seemingly endless loop every rainy day. Just stop trying cover for her….everybody screws up at some point, she has screwed at Lucasfilm and she needs to move on.
@@pcon77 I'm just sharing what I know about Kennedy, which a LOT of people apparently don't, despite acting like diehard fans of these franchises it seems their only knowledge of her involvement with Lucasfilm is limited to the Star Wars sequel trilogy which I think is narrowminded and unfair. 🤷♂ That story about your kids only playing with the original and prequel toys on rainy days is.... a weird bit of anecdata? Like, okay? 🤨 The sequel trilogy was a resounding flop, and I personally didn't care for the prequel trilogy either (neither does a lot of the Star Wars fandom, seriously Jar Jar Binks, Midichlorians, big nopes). I'm not saying it's all puppies and rainbows in Lucas-land, but to act like the Star Wars franchise is irreparably damaged given the resounding success and critical acclaim of works like Rogue One, The Mandalorian, Andor or Obi-Wan Kenobi is just narrow-minded. Fans said the same things after the prequel trilogy released, too, but here we are with new seasons of Mando and new series like Ahsoka on the way. Now I wasn't going to go watch it initially because Ford is pretty old and I had my doubts, but I'm a lifelong fan and decided to give Dial of Destiny a shot, and found to my good fortune that it is a legitimately solid entry into the Indiana Jones franchise that satisfyingly concludes his adventures. The Last Jedi released 6 years ago and a lot has happened since then, I know people have their grudges but come on, with all these solid entries Lucasfilm has clearly course corrected and moved on already, why can't you? Is it because RU-vid cult of personality outrage peddlers keep telling you to stay angry about some "wOke fEmInIsT aGeNdA"? 🙄 I wouldn't listen to those culture war rage baiting manchildren, I'm not a gullible frustrated sheep with a mob mentality, I give people a fair shake and make up my own opinions, so should you.
@@RedZeshinX Agreed Mando season 1 & 2 excellent, season 3 WTH was that thing? Keno-bi was meh and got a meh response from fans. Andor was excellent but after Book of Boba Fett and Keno-bi that damage hand been done and it did not get the viewership is deserves. The Last Jedi was when the car blew a tire and well in the words of my youngest son "is this an alternate universe".... I am laughing at the "woke" part of your response. Yes there are crazy people out there but... Lucasfilm is not worth the $4B that Disney paid for it anymore and that is squarely on Lucasfilm leadership. If I was on the Disney Board of directors I would have taken action after the results from The Rise of Skywalker, what the literal hell was that... the drop off in viewership. It made "Attack of the Clones" look like a best picture contender. The drop in toy sales alone after "The Last Jedi" should have been reason enough to get the board's attention and a holistic performance plan to be discussed for Lucasfilm. Again it is time for Kathleen Kennedy to move on based on her management of the Studio and its financial performance.
John Williams IS Indiana Jones...he cracks the whip with Indy, he punches Nazis in the face and lifts us up with his brilliant rousing score! Gentle genius. I love everything he does ❤
I loved the movie. It's not at the level of the first three films, but it does justice to the saga. For me it was a good Indiana Jones movie and if you agree let me know. No one has to attack you for that
@@primegamer911 Thanks for not hating me for enjoying it. LOL too bad people read into every detail so much these days they cant even enjoy a movie anymore. They are missing a decent movie, but I get that others may not enjoy it as much. I am actually hoping I can catch it again before it is out of theaters.

The Dial of Destiny is great!!! A movie that deserves going to the cinema. I loved it and I am a fan of the saga. Don't listen to the haters and m0r0n critics. JUST GO!!!!
Most people do not understand that this is their last opportunity to watch an Indiana Jones with Harrison Ford as Protagonist in theater..he is past 80 now..and Legendary John Williams with his final score...the disney haters have managed to misguide many people... people don't understand what they are missing out on...many of these RU-vid haters gangs were not even born when raiders came out...they miss the legacy attached with this final Indiana Jones film...there is still time left before this movie goes off from theaters...
Your grandparents or parents will eventually have "senior moments", forgetting names or going into the wrong buildings. Please treat them with kindness and respect when this happens. DO NOT PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE. Context : in this movie, an old man fails to understand it's time to go. He promptly gets punched in the face. THAT IS CALLED "ELDER ABUSE". Amazingly, this punch does not come from the movie's villainous Nazi. It comes from the heroine and role model ! The movie PROMOTES violence as a means of senior care. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS MOVIE. THEY WILL BE LOOKING AFTER YOU WHEN YOU'RE OLD.
Because she's worked on every Indiana Jones movie since the 1980s? 🤨 First as assistant to Spielberg on Raiders, and then as Producer on every film after Temple of Doom, so of course she's there. She's been producer on a LOT of classic films including E.T., Gremlins, Goonies, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future, no surprise she's still in the business.
Dial of Destiny is a great bookend for Indy's adventures, discouraging to see so many bitter culture war neckbeards trying to drag it down but their loss I guess. 🤷♂
Dial of Destiny is a great film, though, wouldn't call that "studio mismanagement". And the Mandalorian has been a great hit as well. She has a lifetime of classics under her belt, including E.T., Gremlins, Goonies, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future, and of course the entire Indiana Jones saga sincer Raiders, sure a flop like the Last Jedi really sucks but that was over 6 years ago already, neckbeard incels need to let it go already.
Dude I don’t even like Star Wars I couldn’t give a shit what they do with that franchise. Even Indy I’m lukewarm to. But she’s not a creative in any sense so her opinion is moot.
@@jvick87 Well then not sure what your beef with Kennedy is, where's the gross studio mismanagement? The series and films they've released have been solid productions not only making the Disney+ streaming platform wildly successful but also generating massive amounts of revenue in merchandising, games, attractions, etc., Disney has long since recouped their investment and thensome with handsome profits and public engagement. What exactly are you saying that Kennedy is doing wrong?
It is unfortunate that John Williams last film to compose is this one. This is a film that got beat by the Sound of Freedom on July 4th and will lose a massive amount of money. They could not even keep #1 before Mission Impossible arrives. This is what happens when you destroy your fans childhood heroes. The chickens are coming home to roost.
