INFJ's Take On ISFJs 

Hi! I'm an ISFJ! You are so sweet! Thank you! I personally love INFJs!! Most of my closest friends a re INFJs. We can really relate on what we find important in life like kindness and sensitivity. We also love to talk about deeper meanings. I love reading and writing and finding symbols and things that have depth and symbolism to it. This might be because I have two intuitive parents, so I am sensing, but also intuitive. I love that INFJs have a passion for serving and really finding underlying themes and causes they stand for.

I have two friends who are ISFJs, as well as my Grandmother being one. One of my friends bounces between wanting to be a doctor of some sort (vet, biology, stuff like that) and interior design. The other one is all about wanting to make people comfortable and not being a bother, wanting to help those she loves be the best they can be, she's also working toward being a teacher. You are very right, they are very traditionally visionary, and can be wonderful encouragers. I feel like ISFJs are almost more down to earth than we INFJs are, I might be misspeaking here, but it's like we start using Ni, and they can pull us back down if we start getting to 'other-wordly'. I think they are truly a blessing to the earth. Such an interesting video! Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for making this & for noting Si is more about subjective experience (rather than the objective history/societal traditions stereotypes)!! The only thing I would say is, at least for me personally (as an ISFJ), in some situations I also need to have the big picture up front. However, the difference between my Si versus what your Ni sounds like is if I don’t see the big picture up front, I probably won’t see it at all because I generally am just focused on the individual details and tend to miss what’s going on as a whole. I really have to force myself to sit and think about what the main point of something is. It definitely doesn’t come naturally even once I’ve sort of “gathered” all the details leading up to it. I don’t know if other ISFJs have this experience or if it’s just me, but thought I’d comment. :)

My dad is an INTJ, so as an ISFJ, I think he may have helped me develop my Ni. It’s very interesting how parentage can help us develop each of our functions.

So....the thing is, I am very much an infj, but I have a lot of isfj tendencies,like being able to soak in details about a person's likes, dislikes, and really being able to listen and remember word for word alot of what a person says, even years after they said it. Part of the reason for this stems from my mind going over conversations in my head and reflecting on them. In many other ways I am so not an isfj. I really don't like dealing with mundane details and organizing things is stressful to me. Is it possible that my S is just really well developed?

Yep :)!! awesome video. I thought I was an INFJ but I'm ISFJ (known this for some time now, not a recent thing!). Yep, I love details and I'm going to be a nurse I hope, male nurse :). Most ISFJs are females but there's some males too of course. Yeah that's exactly how it tends to go.... Not so much about super deep and weird philosophy and politics. Also because politics can divide people.

My girlfriend is an ISFJ. She tells me that I'm too abstract and she doesn't get my thought process. I always have to either further explain myself, use poor layman's terms or just dumb down whatever I articulate. She's always perplexed by how I can make connections and draw conclusions between different things, especially when I give no context on said connections. It's like I'm speaking another language to her.

Is it weird that when I looked at your face it made me a little bit sad? I see that same lookin my eyes, the eyes that I'm supposed to be focused on something or looking at something, but I'm really looking behind it, past it, something else, or nothing at all. I didn't understand it until I've recently researched many INFJs. I already know you know what I'm talking about.

I’m an INFJ dating an ISFJ. He’s the cutest. The problem, as we go deeper, is that we are clumsy over the things that matter the most to each of us. He’s obsessed with details and I with intuition. I dont mean to hurt him when I overlook a detail. He doesn’t mean to reject my identity when he dismisses my metaphors. Before dating I felt so safe around him that I never had to adjust my energy level. Now I kind of have to. I hope things work out for us as a couple too.

MBTI is not popular in Poland at all, but since I spend 21 days on studying each type I think I understand people a lot more. 21 days is enough for a human to get a habbit and as a writer my dialogues were flat - everyone spoke like everyone else. Yea my fiancé is a ISFJ and as a INFJ she’s hilarious 😂 🤷🏽‍♂️ and definitely helps with the small details.

I love this video, I have 3 INFJ friends, I left one of them couple days ago because I started to manipulate me about something stupid, and I didnt find the friendship worthy anymore. And I am a little scared for INFJs now bc of that, but ofc, not all INFJs are like that...

Becareful with who you listen to

As an INFJ, the majority of people I "vibe" with are ISFJs. However, we never make it past the acquaintence stage since most of them are quite religious and I am not. Its not a deal breaker for me, but seems to be for them.

PLEASE film another ISFP, does your mother bend or brake rules and it drive you crazy?!? lol My hubbies an ISFP and I'm INFJ and man oh man, I've learned so much already but I'D love to see another video about the relationships, I've heard how we connect but not how we disconnect and man when we do it's black and white.

I can relate! My mom is an istp and I am an intp.my mom uhhh honestly wasn’t the best mom… I hate cleaning and it drives my mom up the wall since I’m an intp-and also my place is in dissaray and when I was a “growing” Intp ( in my youth ) intps have an inferior fe so we are don’t know which beat to tune in to,since istps have extroverted sensening I observe since they are more practicle and intune to their surroundings which makes them quickly size up a situation,maybe se is does with the here and now so they have a nose what’s rotten underneath so this is their way of self preservation.

I promise I kid you not, I fast forward this video ten seconds, four times in a row and everytime I stopped to hear what she was saying, she was still repeating "they notice every detail". It really triggered something in me. I GET IT! THEY NOTICE DETAIL. Sorry I just had to vent.
