Former ACL/Double Meniscus recovery here, stationary cycling is your best friend for cardio early on without adding extra irritation via impact from running. Limiting inflammation when doing a lot of other physical therapy exercise helps you continue to get better without getting setbacks from being too sore/in pain. Sprints(10-15s) on cycles at 30s or 1 min intervals helps time go by quickly and before you know it you’ve done 30 mins to an hour of cardio while watching tv or “looking up more exercises”. She spoke about overloading and this is a great way to add cardio and build fitness without wearing on your body as heavily to optimize recovery and getting the biggest volume of exercise/therapy in. Although late on more dynamic movement would be ideal as it’s closer to gameplay speed and movement in general, and you need to get the joint to tolerate impact from running/cutting again.
