Injustice 1 VS Injustice 2

I honestly think injustice 2 blows the first game out of the water. Every aspect just felt like an upgrade

thought injustice had a better story and better specials and a better feel to it while injustice 2 had better gameplay , controls and better extras

To me, he comes across as WAY too critical of Injustice 2. He is criticising things that cannot be helped. Its a fighting game. And fighting games are limited in most regards. You can't hate on something that is in a game, that HAS to be in the game.

Damian was making comments on batman before they fought, I don't agree with your argument about the Damian turning evil thing. That and In the comics Damian killed Dick, so there is tension between Damian and batman, you can see that from there interactions. Also you can break combos, you can meter burn and jump mid combo to cancel there combo for two bars. Another thing I disagree with is your argument about about the movement, in injustice 1 the characters all moved like snails and spammed there basic attacks, in injustice 2 they made the combos more complex and easier for beginners, injustice 1 combos felt like you were wrestling with the controls. In injustice 2 you get to experience the excitement of combos even if your a beginner. Also saying the combat is identical isn't very true in my opinion, injustice 1 felt sloppy and slow, it felt like you were stuck everywhere.

How is he not going to mention the gear system, that’s the only thing that keeps me playing Injustice 2. Best idea ever for a fighting game it changed everything now I never get bored playing

+Eric Carter There actually is a ladder mode in Injustice 2. In the Multiverse, you just need to go to the earth that says Battle Simulator and you can play the ladder. Also, there is a Ultimate Edition but I believe you needed to pre-order to get it. I don't know if they are still selling the Ultimate Edition but you can get the Ultimate Pack which includes everything in the Ultimate Edition.

I like injustice 2 a lot more than the first one imo. The story for the first just seemed kinda done to death so having the second take place entirely in the injustice universe just felt more fresh to me. Also the gear system and the multiverse is what really kept me coming back everyday (the ladders in the first kinda got boring after a while), but honestly the main thing that got me is the updated roster in the second. The first had a pretty sizable amount of characters from the Batman franchise (and some of them hardly appeared in the story) and while the second does still have quite a few batman characters, there's also characters like Gorilla Grodd and Firestorm and Swamp thing that just adds a lot more variety for me.

Oh sure, Injustice 1's stages were tooootally unique. Arkham Asylum and Joker's Asylum totally weren't exactly the same xD Also, how the heck does Injustice 1 have better replay value? The arcade ladder mode was fine, but the Multiverse offers you new ladders every couple hours with rewards. Both games are lacking in the gameplay modes department though. I wish we could've gotten some sort of tag team mode where you could pick a team of 2 or 3 and switch between the fighters.

+Eric Carter Nice comparison! I really liked it! There is one thing though that you might not be aware of. Around 9:58, you say that you can't do the stage transitions in the story. That is because they removed the ability to do stage transitions when you play the story. They removed this because in Injustice 1's story, when you do a stage transition, the next cutscene will take place in the stage that you were in when the fight first started instead of taking place in the other area of the stage that you were in when you did the transition. A lot of players thought this was weird so Netherrealm took note of it and removed the ability to do stage transitions during the story. Sorry for the long comment!

Injustice 1 was better in terms of character roster and story (in my opinion). But 2 takes the cake in every other aspect.

I honestly like injustice 1 more aswell. I wouldnt really know how to explain it. Its just a more fun game to play for me. Dont get me wrong i love injustice 2 aswell

Ive always giving the story arc in fighting games some leeway. Its no small feat to right a story around vs rounds.

I personally enjoyed the injustice 1 story and moveset for the characters more intriguing. I was kinda hoping the 2nd one would have most of the same moves but have a bunch of new ones as well (so more moves altogether)

The stage transitions are disabled in the injustice 2 story mode which was probably done to keep continuity (in the first one you could stage transition in the story mode but if you won on that stage you'd magically teleport to area you started the fight in)

As far as the roster and leveling up the characters the second one gets the edge. The first one was nice having the Star labs missions and having skins for the characters where it lacked in the second game. Gear system is nice but should either get rid of it in the next game or have both be options so everyone can enjoy the game however they want to. I enjoy both games hopefully some of the characters from the first game can be brought back to the 3rd one but also I hope the Story can be different too something fresh.

i looked through the comments and saw that people brought up some points I was going to bring up already about Stage Transitions during story mode, and the classic ladder vs multiverse mode. I just think that I2 has way longer replay value then the first. I played both games, and loved both. with the multiverse and gear. This Video is well done but I think you should have talked about more of the new mechanics they added. The Roll(to combat annoying zoners) The Air Roll(To get out of juggle combos) and the walking speed which is way better in the second game. The point you brought up about how similar the game is, is a fair point, but i think it makes it easier to transition from game, and pick up where you started. I also think you should have touched on the roster differences a bit, but other wise, i enjoyed this video, and respect your opinion!

The arcade mode for Injustice 2 is in the multiverse. Unfortunately, it's kinda hard to find but gear hunting and multiverse challenges give the game a great deal more replayability to me.

Dude the "Battle Simulator" in the Multiverse option, is that ladder mode you were talking about from MK and Injustice 1. You can choose to fight anywhere from 5 to infinity players.

As far as the stage transitions go in Injustice 2, they took them out in the story mode so that cutscenes afterwords made sense. If you start a fight in front of the theatre and end it in the steam room area, the cutscene wouldn't make sense being back at the theatre.

My biggest pet peeve with this game is the dialogue at the start of a fight and at the clash you can really tell when it’s recycled

I like how he said he preferred the ladder mode than the multiverse but it also has the multiverse but also he said it’s harder to pull of stage interactions but it shows you when you can pull it off :P

The first injustice was so bad i like the New one even to this Day in 2020 its amazing and looks like a game from today the second game has nice cool grapichs please dont hate on this amazing game its soooooo much better then the first one EDIT dont hate on this guy this is hes upinoin

I respect your opinion, but the whole point of injustice is to learn characters and to spend time learning, which is why the characters are harder to play in Injustice 2. And Injustice 2 has the gear system which is cool and gives you the chance to use your imagination to make every Flash (for example) from Earth X to Red Death. And there is a way to stop people doing combos on you by air escaping and clashing. Anyway i do agree with the fact that the story of the 1st is better, but an 8.2 is completely blown out of proportion. And a 6 for injustice 2? That's crazy. Anyway, next time you compare two games, make sure you look more into the game itself and not inconsistant face expressions.

Injustice 2 was better hands down. The arcade mode in the first one was fun and all but it was the same exact fights every single time. Injustice 2 has events where u do unique ladders and they keep adding events and it feels fresh and more playable. When I had injustice 1 I beat the story in 1 day and spent a week replaying the arcade mode and got bored of it. Injustice 2 I beat the story in 1 day and ive been doing multiverse for a good while and I'm showing no signs of being bored of it. It feels more playable then the first one.

The ladder mode is still in the game, a bit hidden, but there, in single player multiverse it's on the far right, now called battle simulator, however they did in my eyes mess it up by making braniac the last boss every time and to top that off, giving him straight up cheats that allow him to do a single combo for 800+ damage in the span of about 20 seconds. The rest of the AI and game feels fine to me though.

in the first game the thing i liked about it the most was when you were doing single battles or laddders and the characters showed battle damage on their suits. I was really sad when that was token out of 2 otherwise great game

Did you fucking play the whole game? You forgot too mension the gear system, the battle simulator, and that the gameplay is more fast paced.

You had some great points about the first one and I love some of the dlc the first injustice had, ( Like Lobo, Manhunter, and Zod) also other characters like Deathstroke, Shazam, and Raven. Injustice was honestly a huge step up from the first. The gameplay in the first felt really compact and almost nervous, the second felt slick, natural, and for a more relaxed gameplay. The gear system also adds to the fact that it’s new and creative. The video sounds like you specifically played the story mode only and the second does include an arcade. The gameplay in the first felt chunky in a way, in the second it felt really smooth. While I do agree the second has a bit of filler, The good definitely overshadows the bad. That’s just my opinion, Edit: I also agree with the brainiac storyline, I didn't like that part at alllllll.

I agree, I personally prefer the first one for your reasons and the 2nd one made me rush getting characters to level 20 the easy way just so I can play them and I wasn't motivated to really try to finish a multiverse cause my score got lowered which means worse mother boxes and I've been grinding since day 1 for the staff of Grayson and haven't gotten even through I already have the full gear set. I just like the first game more but the second game improved in a lot areas and deserves more credit. The biggest change for me was the gear system cause they nailed it first try and most games can't after multiple games.

That is understanding, but not to mention that for Injustice 2 and they have gear sets and guide, and having DLC characters includes guest characters, they basically made one of the best games of the year

I just thought I'd let you know that you can't stage transition in the story mode, it's something added so you can't win the fight in another part of the stage and then the cutscenes teleport somewhere else, you may want to try doing them in single fight because in reality the stage transitions are quite easy

You couldn’t do stage transitions in the second cause in the cutscene you where at a specific place and wouldn’t make since if the fight ended at another place and brought you back to the first in the cutscene

This comment section is funny, since it's either over explaining the stage transition issue like he needs 50+ people to reiterate the fact the developers took a cheap route to avoid discrepancies, Injustice 2 fanboys claiming he's bashing the game cause he doesn't praise it like the second coming of Jesus, and or I agree but you should've talked about more points. I mean the bashing point is just stupid, since having a different opinion on something does not mean you're bashing it, but that you see it differently. Furthermore, how is he supposed to talk more about Injustice 2, when it's just a more colorful version of the first game, with more generic backgrounds, a grinding mess for the gear system that takes weeks to even get a good piece of gear, and has an even more generic storyline of an alien invasion that the heroes must stop?

Can someone please tell me why the bat suits are different? Why is Injustice 2 batsuit different from injustice 1? I get the it’s a sequel but when we fight Damian it’s a different batsuit even tho that’s supposed to take place before injustice 1

Eric Carter the reason why they didn’t put the stage transitions in ‘’Injustice 2’’ in the story mode is because it would look confusing if we were fighting in a stage and in the next cutscene they are in the stage where we just started.

I think that you should have highlighted the gear system and hero levels in the replayability, the Multiverse doesn't make a lot of sense with out the context of the gear system. Also there still is a ladder mode in Injustice 2. Anyways good video, I liked and subbed. Cheers mate
