I hate when judges will criticize someone for not adding something that the canvas didn't want, if the canvas says no and the artist respects that, how can you criticize the artist for respecting the canvas' wishes

It's crazy how when the artist doesn't give the cilent what they wanted the judges get mad about it. But when the tattoo artist does give the client exactly what they wanted the judges say they shouldn't have an chews them out for it. One minute it's put the cilent 1st, then another screw them an there desires put the competition 1st.

the ships flag isn't necessarily wrong direction. Yes the wind blows the sails but that means its moving forward and the flag would most likely be forced back.

Kevin was such a good artist, and watching his season it does get irritating when he refuses to listen to the judges. The orchid tattoo would have looked better with that outline, and we (as canvases) forget that we should trust our artists if we like their work.

Jesus Kevin was just getting his ass chewed the whole way thru for outline stuff, he was making good tattoos and yet just cuz he didn’t have outlines or having very little outlining in the tattoo he still was the worst in the eyes of the judges, yes they need to critique on the lining ability of the artists but even josh hibbard had done tats like that and got positive outcomes

see, I like watching these shows, but as someone with work done, hearing 'Lets fuck these people up' sounds like 'people are leaving with bad tattoos' and it makes me cringe a little

I mean... I felt Pon's tattoo would've been better to read if it wasn't that "color blue". Now maybe the canvas wanted blue but if the flower was more of a brighter color and putting the black where it needed to be "to give it more of that stitch look" then his tattoo would've been more "dope🔥"

Jason's trash polka isnt real trash polka; trash polka is more than just black/ red geometric shapes with a ride stripe. At the very least the red stripe should be a brush stroke but it also needs chaos and randomness. Jason's "trash polka" is very clean and not chaotic at all

That first flower, with the triangle doesn't look like a flower to me. It's not fair he's getting shat on for something his canvas wouldn't allow, these people know that the artist has to meet a challenge, then presents them from doing so, and that completely kills your artist's chances of winning. These people are getting thousand dollar plus tattoos, give your artist some freedom, these are some of the top tattoo artist's in the dang country. I would let my artist have complete freedom, so they have the best chance of not getting eliminated. It's really not quite fair.
