I have had a ton of questions about my latest build and thought it warranted a video to explain some things. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Don't forget to like this video for more on my future builds.
and it looks incredible! Nice job keeping it clean and precise! To all you haters , bikers are a small community. Ride what you have and keep an eye out for each other!
Hello, you have done an exceptional job of this - especially considering the fact that the frame has not truly been chopped any where. The only thing you did was remove the rear springs. I am very pleased that this came out looking like a true hard tail. Much respect.
This was one of the coolest little projects that we have worked on here at Goheen Cycles. This bike started as a 2003 Honda Shadow 750 Spirit. The following is a small list of the parts that were changed to make this build possible. 8" Frisco Bars (black powdercoated) All new cables including clutch, throttle and brake line (Goodridge and Motion Pro) New Biltwell Thruster grips New powdercoated handlebar risers 9.5" rear lowering struts Triple trees, fork lowers, hand controls, rear fender rails and chain guard have all been professionally powdercoated Complete rebuild of master cylinder and front forks (seals, gaskets, etc) Progressive Suspension lowering kit in front (1") Bobber seat Side mount license plate with 33 Ford tail light New white wall tires front and rear Hand made steel rear fender Custom made exhaust w/heat wrap Custom made battery cover (under seat) Old school gloss white paint with black scallops
This is the bike I'm using as a rough guide for my spirit 1100. I like the way it looks. It's stripped down and simple, but doesn't look like it's missing anything
I have the same bike and this is what it should look like. A simple, clean bobber. Maybe not in white but some dark gray, but this is question of taste. Great job!
Great job. I have been wanting that style of handlebar so it's nice to see how it looks on the front end. I think I will really want to paint my bar equipment black, and get black bars. With everything you did, I'm a little surprised you kept the stock tank. As far as bikes go with that wide tank, yours looks about the best I've seen
There are 62 idiots trolling this awesome video. Brother. That is one badass machine, I was gifted the same exact bike and boy does it need some love. Nothing can stay on my bike everything has to go especially the electricals. The frame and engine surprisingly are in very good condition (still have a no start issue) but anyway Honda did a great job with the chrom-ish-platisc-ome (little to not rust) so the engine I can polish out and frame I will color shift paint.. Thank you for the inspiration, good job.
This is by far one of the coolest bikes on RU-vid, I wish I could get 15 min on the phone with you haha I just got my first bike. A 1999 Honda Magna and I have spent so many hours researching how to get my bike to look similar to this but I don't how or where to look for ideas.
Personally, this is what I would do: Drop the mag wheels and find spokes Spring seat hard tail rear struts find an aftermarket rear fender or have someone build you one powder coat all of the pot metal colored hardware Lower the front 2" replace the bars with a "Z" bar style repaint pull stock signals from the front That would be a good start.
I have a shadow ace I’m redoing in black satin and white it’s looking pretty good so far. I’m wrapping the pipes today and waiting emblems for the tank.
Hey probably picking up one of these next week. If you could reply on where you got things like the turn signals/rear signals the blacked out cables, master cylinder you have on the bars, And any helpful info on the triple tree you did with the lowering
I actually just bought another 750 Spirit that i'm planning on using a a jig for a few parts. One of the things I was wanting to do was build up some kits for that fender/seat/battery cover combo.
I have a 1985 VT-1100 waiting to be converted into a Bobber - your work is very inspiring ! Mine is equipped with Alloy wheels & drive shaft. Do you happen to know if later-model spoke wheels will fit ? Do you happen to know if a drive-shaft-to-chain-drive "conversion kit" is available ? Thank !
I am thinking about doing an 1100 build, are there quite a bit of aftermarket companies making parts for the different Shadow models or just 600/750s? Thanks and great job!
I have a honda shadow spirit 2003 I'm trying to setup the bike like what you have . Can you share some info as to where can I get the struck bars and the metal plate for the seat ? You did a really awesome job!
That's well built man! About to go find a donor for my own build. I'm kinda tall and was thinking to push the saddle way back, might not look as cool but need the length.
I'm 6'2" and they way that this one was setup, was actually pretty comfortable. The only think that I feel like I could have done was move the foot controls forward about 2 or 3"
Awesome build man. Couple questions for you. I just purchased an 02 shadow 750 and I would love to get it looking similar to yours. First off, how much do you have invested besides the price of the bike? Do have a list of your modifications? Do you build bikes for customers or just for yourself? Again awesome looking bike!
I do builds for customers. What I have "in" the bike is going to be a little subjective. For instance, the fender is not something that you can just buy off of the shelf to put a price tag on. If you are interested in a full build list, Im putting together a tab on my webpage for this bike to give guys a better idea of what went into it parts wise. I get that question more than you would believe.
I had some questions about the handle bars and cables I have a ace bobber and want to change out the handle bars and cables. How did you measure the cables and where did you get them from
Beautifull looking bike man. Great job on it. one question i got is regarding the GC logo. Do you happen to know what the font name is? thanks in advance.
