Watched this to guide me to install my 3.5 Depo. The factory clips off the old intercooler for the Depo lower brackets didn’t fit so I had to go buy a couple nuts for the factory bolts to secure it back to the car. Great video btw!
I was unsure if I will go big turbo or not so I just went with it that way if I do I have it and it still makes a hell of a difference. Compaired to the cpe its almost identical and much cheaper thats why i went with depo
Imo its all branding because there such a huge known brand in the industry and they do make great products they will charge more over a smaller company because they can and people will pay the extra for there name
I went with the Mishimoto IC that I found on Ebay for 480, 512 shipped. Said pre-owned but the thing doesn't have a blemish on it, so I think maybe it was just open box or a return or something. Couldn't pass up saving 180 to 200. It's the gold/yellow one though, I wanted the silver, but it's w.e you can't see it that much to really matter at the moment. It came with hardware for the sensor, but no brackets. Hmm. I haven't installed yet, was thinking about doing that today, but I may not be able to if it's missing brackets that I need. Update, just installed it.
no upgrading the charge pipes on the stock turbo doesn’t really do anything. you might need to upgrade the clamps to t bolt clamps instead of the factory worm gear clamps. that’ll keep them from popping off but other than that the stock ones are fine
Hey, good video. I'm in the process of prepping mine for install, you showing the brackets helped. Especially when you showed that you swapped the lower one in the end. My question is, did you end up using the stock clip-nut for the lower factory bolt? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qDQk4GYUS-0.html I see you have the bolt coming down from the top, and can't tell for sure if you have the nut on it. I'm just wondering if I need to buy a nut for that factory bolt for this before I tear mine down and do the install.
Im running a piggy back on mine with the stock IC, heat soak is a MFer, will the 3.5 be able to improve this, I daily it in the desert as well so 110+ degrees in the summer.
@@Nickjoenap not to disagree but you should have it tuned within the week or so. Although it won't damage anything persay but it could make your car run weird
