HERE'S HOW YOU SOLVE THE FAUCET ARROWS CONFUSION: I think this will work every time. This works assuming that you want the knob over the sink when ON and rotated back toward the outside when OFF: Bottom line is that you can, with your mouth, blow air thru the tube and feel if the faucet is open or closed. 1. Take the cold water (blue) faucet assembly and slip the handle on it so that the handle aligns with the direction of the arrow shown on the bottom of the assembly. So that the Handle EXTENDS TOWARD the direction the arrow is pointing. 2. Hold the Cold water (blue) faucet assembly in your left hand out in front of your face with the ARROW pointing UP. (Handle should be pointing UP also.) 3. Pretend you are a fish in the sink water looking up toward the bottom of the handle. The handle should appear to be extending OVER the SINK WATER which we agreed was to be the OPEN position. 4. To verify that it is indeed OPEN, put your mouth on the long tube and blow air into it. Use your free right hand to feel if air is coming out of the short tube. If air does NOT come out, it's closed. Rotate the handle till AIR blows thru and that will be the OPEN position. Remove and replace the handle so that it aligns with the arrow when the air blows thru it. 5. If air comes out, then that is the OPEN position. Turn the handle 90 degrees and blow to verify no air flow, i.e. the CLOSED position. 6. What this tells you is that the ARROW on the bottom of the assemble needs to be installed facing the front of the vanity. WHERE YOU WOULD BE STANDING. I reckon it's a mirror image of this procedure for the Hot water side. Note: If, DURING THIS TEST, you do this and your handle is 90 degrees out of whack, then you just take the handle off and stick it back on 90 degrees corrected. The difference will be caused by whether your handle was twisted to ON or OFF before you got around to doing this. But do all this during the blow test and not after you install it.

Be sure to take clear plastic protectors off the quick connects before trying to connect. They are hard to see. Remove and they will connect easily.

Thanks for saying something about the clear plastic protector. We couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t connect. Would have been nice if that had been mentioned in the video or paper instructions.

Fittings will not screw into the sink lines at all. The fittings go into the wall supply lines no problem but will not go more then 1 thread before it spots tightening. They're not cross threaded at all they just won't screw in.

Can't get the supply line adapter to go on to the sink's water supply nut. Do I press really hard "Until there is a hard stop?" @2:05 The nut won't screw into the smaller side of the adapter that came with the kit as though it is too short or not fat enough. Ugh. I'm stuck and I have to go back to work tomorrow and it's already 6PM

I'm stuck too. Did you figure it out?
@corneliuslinneball3785
@corneliuslinneball3785 4 года назад
I was stuck too, but you need to carefully remove whatever fitting was at the end of your water supply tube and then screw the fat end of the adapter (there are two of these) into the supply tube end to replace the old fitting. Screw it in tightly and use some Teflon tape if you have it. You will need two adjustable wrench s(crescent wrenches are best). Then carefully line the skinnier end of the fitting withe female screw cap that is already on the cold or hot unit. It is a gold round female fitting. Screw them together and it should work. Hope this helps.

I did have an issue with the arrows, it is difficult to get the arrows to stay pointed in a certain direction as you are screwing the black plastic nut from below. In the end I had to fiddle with the faucet handles to get them aligned properly, I'm not sure the orientation of the arrows is that important since I had to adjust the handles at the end. The hardest part was removing the old faucet that was very very difficult, i actually was thinking I should have just paid someone since it was so difficult to remove the old faucet fixture. Installing the new faucet is a breeze.

How does the trap connect to the tail piece when there is nothing for it to screw into?
@PfisterFaucetsUS
@PfisterFaucetsUS 2 года назад
Hi! The Push and Seal tailpiece is inserted into the trap. Then the nut on the trap tightens down securely onto the drain tailpiece by turning it counterclockwise. We have included a link (below) to a video of a bath faucet installation showing how the Push and Seal is installed and secured. The video link will start right at the Push and Seal drain assembly installation. Thanks --Pfister Social ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tdw4-KuDK60.html&sf258936162=1

@PfisterFaucetsUS
@PfisterFaucetsUS 2 года назад
Hi Daryl, if the drain assembly is leaking, it may be best to have it replaced under warranty. One thing to look out for is that the Push and Seal drain is only compatible with sinks that have an overflow hole. If your sink bowl doesn’t have an overflow this can be a factor. Our Consumer Support Team is here to help with the replacement drain assembly if needed... please contact them here: www.pfisterfaucets.com/parts-support/ask-a-question?sf258989052=1 or call them at: 1-800-PFAUCET (1-800-732-8238). We installed the handles (red on the left (hot) and blue on the right (cold) in their off position and noticed to get the water to come on they turn out and behind rather than both turning in toward the spicket. Is this normal?

The image at :31 is misleading / confusing / incorrect. The dialogue says the arrows should be pointing toward the sink (not the rear wall). You can see in this image the supply lines are on the wall where the arrows are pointing. The narrator says the arrows should be pointing toward the "front edge of the counter" The narrator and the image are contradictory. When I installed this, either the arrows are wrong, the instructions are wrong, or my handles are in the wrong position, because they don't turn the right way. Maybe they were shipped in the "open" position and I need to close the valves before installing the handles. Even if that's the case, this video is still a little misleading about which way the arrows should be pointing.

Don't know if they. updated the video's audio, but I heard him say point the arrows to the front of the counter and the video showed that as well. The manual that came with the faucet says the opposite (point to the sink)

I just finished installing mine and pointed the arrows towards the sink and it works great. The only issue I had was that it was hard to keep the arrows pointing in the right direction when I tighten the "nut" on the faucet. The whole faucet would. turn as I tightened it. In the end I used a vise grip to hold the top of the faucet, with the vise grip held in place by the back wall of the sink area. But don't talk to me about the 5 hours it took to remove the 40 year old Price Pfister faucets that were already there. The new design is so much more wonderful.
