I have the same Load Trail dump trailer 8' X 16'. I also purchased the same remote as you but after a short while it broke. So I went to Harbor Freight and purchased their remote. Works awesome! I would suggest that you install an on/off switch on the positive wire of the remote module because it is still drawing power in standby mode waiting for the radio signal from the remote.
Iv been trying to figure this out in my load trial thank you I can finally do it today. Where do you get those piggy backs? And that green is down. Twist that nob it will air down
Anyone doing this needs to know that the wireless receiver has a constant current draw and will drain your battery if you don't put in some sort of cut of switch on the hot wire to the wireless receiver. I did a 300 amp Blue Sea battery cut off switch that disconnects all power to everything except for the DC to DC charger from the truck and Solar input charger to the battery.
Well I did everything and I heard mine clicking on but no movement. Hm maybe it’s the winch I bought I even swapped them yellow and white nothing still
hey joe thanks for the video, just finished putting mine together and works great, question is if I purchased 2nd unit if it is on the same frequency 1 for dump trailer and 1 for my tilt flat bed.😵💫
Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for. I have a load trail as well. Can you please let me know what all you bought and where including the size diode.
@donnygozzola4545 These are the diodes www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NS63XJH/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is the remote www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X8GQJTF/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hope that helps. Let me know how it turns out for you.
@@klugekustomdesigns if you use relays instead of diodes, you could use the normally closed contacts as an interlock to prevent both solenoids from energizing at the same time. I think that's why the factory receivers are $300. Bench testing the winch receiver it will actually let you push both up and down at the same time.
