Put a Flowmaster high flow cat on. Removed the resonator in my ATM midpipe and replaced it with my highflow cat. The exhaust actually has a deeper tone and the turbo whistle is louder now, I like it. The smell was knocked down, still there, but not nearly as strong as it was.

I have done the dpf delete, and the smell is just too overwhelming. Did you use a 200cell? The smell is my only real concern

Thank you a lot for this video. Because u have the same isue with very bad smell on m57. Some guys tell me the cat must be for diesel not universal not for petrol . I bought a universal like this and this days i will install it . And thank you again for my brain relax :D . My biggest problem is the smell on idle .

As long as it’s high flow like a 200 cell one that it should be fine this is one, if you get regular cat 400 cell that might be to obstructive and might get clogged quick.

As log as you get high flow cat like this one amzn.to/3HjIdA9 you going to be ok, I would put a regular cat since those are like 400 and up cells and most likely will be too obstructive for diesel and might clog quickly.

Hello, I know this video is a bit older but I just recently got an f15 Diesel and I am looking to eventually do the abc delete. I watched the other install video, and I am not sure if I just missed this but what did you do for the egr? Did you install a block off plate for it?

Hi, on N57 you do not need to block off egr like on the prior gen M57 engine becuase it’s has a electric flap which can just programmed to be closed at all times and this is essentially same thing as if your were to physically block it off, there for no need for it.

Before on your other video you said the exhaust smell was there, is it cut in half compared to before, or even less then half. I would not be concerned about smoke... there was rarely any smoke unless you floored it.

The exhaust smell was cut by about close to half compared to what is was prior, its still definitely there just not as intense. Yea there's no smoke at all unless you floor it hard but even then its very negligible amount.

@@MotorsportInspired Hi, Steven here from Berlin Germany. Nice vid. So after a year of using the cat. Is the spun cat still in working condition and most important would you recommend it for reducing the smell and smoke? I am building a 3" straight pipe for a Mercedes without DPF and cats. But i am not sure if i better keep the secondary cat or going magnaflow 3" metalic cat. Thanks

@@milimao it has been 1.5 years since I installed this cat and about 25k miles, so far no complaints works good as intended it does reduce smell 👃 compared to before.

How many miles do you think the n57 will last after deleting? I know the m57 engine itself is super stout. Wondering if you had an idea. We have 2 x5’s and was thinking of deleting and tuning both of them. Assuming there is good maintenance and the delete is done before 50k miles.

Once you remove it it should last 200k-250k easy. N57 is very stout well designed engine much improved over M57 design N57 is definitely a keeper 👍

So far can’t complain 👍 I must say sound is tad deeper and smell has reduced as well, still there but not as strong. Overall happy so far 😁

Yes odor reduced about 30% I would say.

Hi, yes I do, happy to report I haven’t had any issues with this car to date not one check light, I just do regular oil changes brakes ect I have put 90k on it already not a single issue knock on wood, been treating me real good 👍 very reliable best car I’ve owned thus far

Hi, Its been over a year since I installed this cat, I’ve put about 13k miles on it and I’m happy to report so far so good 😊 not a single problem car runs flawlessly with it like I mentioned previously, smell is reduced, the turbo whistle sound is toned down and there’s no negative impact on car’s performance👌 hope this helps.

What if you put 2 of them? One closer to the turbo and the other in the middle? Or is that going to be too restrictive for a diesel?

Haven't tried might be bit restrictive then been runing this setup for past 3 years with good results

Hi 😃 I have a question what you think after delete and chip tuning what you get 0-60 ? Stock I think around 7.2sec 0-60

I did 0-60 run in my tune review video, if you want to check it out, it’s around 5.0 flat now.

@@tominfhl overall smell reduction is about 30% less from what is was before, the odor is definitely weaker but still there.

Hi, happy to report significantly less upon cold startup than before, while warm driving I don’t notice any, diesel odor is much less than before as well. Already put 3k miles on this setup so far so good 😊👌

It has been reduced compared to before it’s still somewhat there but less intense.

what is that noise from when the car is idling? sounds like something grinding until you rev the engine and it goes away and then goes back

That’s a typically twin scroll turbo charger sound after the delete they all sound like that, not the best noise in the world but it is what it is 🤷

I have deleted dpf and egr on my f07 535d...car goes ok, but there is anoying whistle sound at low rpm...do you think this cat will help?

Ja tez oryginalny DPF mam usunięty to jest tylko 200 cell high flow żeby tylko trochę odór trochę stłumić 😁 pozatym jest prosty przelot od turbo do końca wydechu
