I installed an FTP charge pipe on my 2019 BMW G20 330i.
I have a JB4 and I usually run it on Map 2. The OEM BMW charge pipe is made of plastic and is notorious for cracking under pressure (no pun intended). The FTP charge pipe is made of metal and can handle the boost pressure. I made this video since there aren’t any videos for the G20 B48 engine. I hope this helps others looking to put in a charge pipe in their G20 330i.

Awesome tutorial. Just Stage 1’d and OPF + muffler delete on my 2020 330e and its become a beast with 420bhp. How many hp does a charge pipe add and what does it improve otherwise?

Hi Yaaseen, thanks for the video man, it's really helpful. I just installed the same part on the same car. Quick question: When you double-checked the lower part of the charge pipe was connected properly, was that little gap at 8:06 still there? I had the same gap and couldn't seem to get it tighter than that.

If I recall, it was just about the same. I remember loosening the clamp and pushing it as far as I could before locking it back in. If you pull on the charge pipe, it doesn’t move out of place. I take it that it was on there snug once I did that.

@@yaaseenhossen7713 Awesome, thanks for the reply man. I did the same thing, kind of jiggled it at both connections and at the silicone sleeve to make sure it was all snug. You're a legend!

I know its just one pipe and its mainly for a better durable piece than the factory plastic one but notice any more turbo noise? or better/smoother power flow?

Better/smoother power flow for sure. You might hear a bit more of the turbo. But if you really want to hear the turbo, then I’d recommend getting an intake.

Hey man I installed the same charge pipe, when I floor it I hear a loud air noise is this a problem

Yeah, definitely a problem. It’s most likely the gasket that attaches both pieces of the aluminum pipe. Make sure it’s attached properly and tightly

I just got an MST intake. Do I need to change the charge pipe? I don't plan on installing a boot mod or JB4.

Yes. It benefits for long run rather than the plastic stock one

@@protegegaming7246 nice bro. Give a feedback once they all are setup. Next, replace the ignition coil to dinan products. Go for mg flasher then

Update: installed charge pipe today and everything seems good. Even with an MST intake, I do feel like I hear less of the turbo. Maybe it’s just me me but other than, it’s running solid! I’m going to install a JB+. Thanks again man for this helpful video
