My clutch fan went bad again so I picked up electric fans from @millakillad21 and bought an electric fan harness from autozone and made it work somehow
I hope to see back again soon with another hardbody. You got a passion for the truck. Don't let comments from the other guys get to you after the incident. I see your point of view but there's also the other guys like myself that want to see you climb back up. I've had my hardbody for 9 years, been steadily turning it into what I want and I've always said if anything happens to this truck, I'll buy another, swap all my years of efforts between the two and let the show keep rolling
Good video idk if you still have the hard body but I plan on upgrading my cooling system so far I got just a radiator waiting for the transmission cooler but mainly been looking into duel efans for the truck
@@RiceTruck What "little openings"? What are you talking about? Is there a port on my 1995 Nissan to screw this into, or do I need to cut my upper radiator hose in half to install a sensor housing?
i responded to the same question so ill copy and paste it here. temperature stays about the same but deleting the clutch fan has increase the hp do to less rotating mass on the pulleys, what i like about it is when im at drift events and finish my heat i can leave the keys on accessories and flip the switch to keep the electric fans running to which lets the engine cool down faster when its not running and its sitting in the pits

Rice Truck what are the part numbers for the parts you used? Do you happen to know the cfm for the fans? I'm trying to restore my truck with some light mods.
Your engine wont be cooling down whilst its sitting there with fans running. It will only be cooling whats in the radiator as the water pump needs to suck the cooled liquid from the radiator into the motor. You should install a turbo timer so it can idle for 5mins with the fans running coolant circulating. Good work anyway dude
if the electric fans didnt cool the engine when its sitting, then racers at the drag strip wouldnt have fans set up in front of their racecars with their hoods open when theyre sitting in the pits not running, some of them leave bags of ice on top of the engine to cool it. letting the car idle for 5 minutes and you will see the coolant temperature will start to rise.
How is the coolant in your engine going to cool if its not circulating from the radiator? The dudes with the ice probably have electric water pumps. Coolant needs to flow through the entire system to be efficient.
@@GR1MMR3AP3R51 only stupid people do that. Fix the electrical shortage and wire it correctly cause I've never had to do that and I never popped the fuse for electric fans.
I hate fixing fan with zip tie 👎👎👎 they will riun your radiator, have to replace 2 radiator cause of this one in my car and one in my brother car better to have a bracket 👍👍👍 Good luck we have lots of bumps in our area and unpaved roads make the fan shake like a milk shake and riun the radiator
Those fans suck I had them on my dad's 1992 nissan pathfinder XE mounted on a aluminum fan shroud wasn't cooling enough the tempture starts climbing and overtime my dad lost 3rd gear
these electric fans came off of @millakillad21 truck for 2 years i dailied the truck and ive already sent it at a ready set drift event and my temp is cooler than the stock fan clutch, just because yours was a dub doesnt mean the same shits gonna happen to me.
@joseortega the D21 in the video is a stick not an auto meaning the trans has nothing to do with the radiator and you could not lose a gear due to over heating on this truck, your dad probably lost 3rd because the trans was already going out and the over heating finished it off.
