Installing new injector cups and injectors on a mack mp8.
Always change the o-ring in the injector on the top of the injector. If you are working on a older truck and your injector comes out and has 2 o-rings on it, when you put the new o-rings only install the upper, there is how mack/volvo wants it now. There a service bulletin about it.
Also never EVER reused injector cups. They will never sit the same and seal once the injector is removed. There a huge fail point and major cause of no starts or hard starts so please change them while you are in there! Trust me you will thank me later. No buddy wants to do this job twice if you don’t have to.
It is very important to never reuse injector hold down bolts and to torque to the specific specs.
