Too funny, I encountered the same coolant geyser when I added my APR box. And I learned from the Humble Mechanic to “be sure and cover your turbo inlet” as you are doing this procedure. Thanks for the video!

I literally gasped when you sprayed water in the turbo inlet. I actually lost a socket trying to undo the clamp on the stock inlet during my install of an IE CAI. I'm glad everything worked out. Great vid.

Lmao the water hose to the engine bay mid project had me rolling! And the phone chilling during the revs. Props tho it’s done and nothing is broken 👍

Kayla when you remove the coolant hose next time use your pliers to rotate the hose and then you can just pull it off by hand rather than using the hook tool. I was a VW mechanic for 7 years and I used to do that and I'd occasionally split the coolant hose and need to replace it. If you just rotate the hose instead it breaks the seal and it's really easy to remove. But love the content! Just moved to Indiana from the UK and got myself a mk6 Golf R with a stage 2+ APR tune on it and I love it!

It sounds good! I put in an IE intake on my MK7.5 a few months ago and have to say the sounds it makes is well worth the money. I had the same thing happen with the coolant hose lol, got it all over my bay spent forever meticulously cleaning it up. I figure the rest will burn off!

I'm happy to see this video as I'm about to get one for my 2020 s3 sedan. I've only got a res delete but heard this intake was good. Seems simple enough to install too. These cars are awesome fun and don't need much to get them flying!

Very nice, I went with the Neuspeed Intake instead of APR on my MK7 R. can’t go wrong with either one IMO. Turbo sounds galore.

There’s a check valve in the stock coolant line you were suppose to transfer over to the apr hose.

Have you noticed any bubbling/gurgling sounds after adding the underhose? I put one on my mk7.5 R and after running it for a while I noticed it. Its driving me crazy.
