Ok this is really simple!
1. Bent arms 90deg!
2. Walk to shoulder height bar!
3. Swing forward at 45 deg angle - straight line from shoulder to ankle.
4. As soon as you move back, KICK KNEES FAST AND HARD TOWARD YOUR CHEST!

you can achieve the same thing by jumping onto the bar but allowing your lower half to swing forward to achieve that same tension. If anything i find it easier on higher bars because i feel the jump and subsequent tension in the lats / abs really help.

I always had a super strong pull up from bouldering, but thought muscle ups were something i would never be able to do because my press strength is very average. One of your videos years ago inspired me to try and i did it super easily first time, i literally laughed out loud i was so shocked. The things that really helped me was the tip about going forward in the walk in to get a little stretch/tension, and the concept of tryign to get infront of the bar not just above it.

Marcus: You are Strong, and super charismatic; I love you… *BUT:* claiming that → • swinging is good, • starting with flexed/bent elbows is due, • kipping with the knees *without* trying to keep the body tensed is useful......←, claiming that all of that unleashes the muscle up…is......nothing less than TREMENDOUS…!! I Always say that( pretty much) ANYone is able to end up on a bar; but SURELY *not* everybody is able to perform a muscle up. It is an ART; complete balance + awesome control( of synchronisation + timing!) + filled with a decent amount of strength...(!!) It takes time, It takes Patience, It takes heart, It takes passion, It takes Dedication; It takes repetitions. *NO one, literally NO ONE,* should settle down feeling _happy_ with such an *HORRIFYING ATROCIOUS* _“achievement”......!!!_ (Road to improvement!)

Everyone starts somewhere, with this method people are more motivated to keep training and getting better form. Maybe your muscle up was the cleanest in the world on your first try but for many it is not. Don’t forget we are all starting somewhere somehow. Your attitude sucks :(

And that none should feel happy with “such horrifying and atrocious “achievement””.
