I grew up with rice cookers my entire life. I'm 43 now. When I steam RICE, I only rinse it 2x so that nutrients are still there. I NEVER use a cup to measure water. I just use my (middle finger) otherwise called 3rd PIP joint....That's it! Regardless of how much cup/s of rice I make. 😆😁🤣

I never use my instant pot but my husband does sometimes.. I use an electric rice cooker often as we eat a lot of rice . Would like to see other recipes !

We wash our rice till the water runs clear

The reason rice is rinsed it to get rid of the excess starch. You can throw off the amount of water if not done.

Rice is the bane of my existence. No idea why. My mom's rice was good, and I thought I learned it from her, but nope! I can make a souffle, lasagne, or eggs Benedict, but those tiny grains of deliciousness defeat me. Maybe I should buy an Instant Pot.

I burn or undercook rice a lot so I’m gonna try the instapot. But if you just wanna make rice you should get an electric rice cooker.
