Hey man I got a question. So i installed my skunk2 intake onto my GSR(2000). After i put it on it started throwing codes (cylinder 4 misfire, idle control valve). I put the old one back on and they went away but the idle was jumpy. Now its throwing a code for the idle control valve. I know the plug ripped off so inhad to wire it back on. Im assuming the connection isnt strong so ordered another one to wire on. As far as the misfire any ideas on why it caused that? Its not showing any codes for misfire anymore but the idle is still jumpy between 1500-2000

Clean work, did you just leave your IAB tuck to the side in the time being?

You mean the wiring harness? I have a Rywire tucked wiring harness, it does not come with a IAB connection.

Did you do something different with the fuel rail studs? looks like you switched to black Allen bolts? reason for that? Great video BTW!! I have the Skunk2 IM and a SF throttle body ready to be installed.

Where did you get the hardware/braket for the throttle cable that is bolted on top of the manifold and are you using the alpha series throttle body or the pro series throttle body for the gsr? Thanks

In the video you can see that the hardware and bracket is Honda OEM. I got it from a Honda/Acura dealer. TB is Alpha.

How come you didn't use the P73 hoses for the PCV valve? it has a special curve for it to be routed to the intake manifold.

Because the intake manifold hose inlet is in a different position than the stock manifold inlet. Therefore, a custom hose needs to be made.

On the fuel pressure regulator just polish and then coat it in laquer stop it rusting

You didn't check the gap on your plugs. I bet they are incorrect

NGK plugs come pre gapped and I’ve found that they have been set correctly every time I have installed them in my experience. However, I still always check the gap anyways.

@@spencersgarage only reason I make the comment is because I just went through the same thing with mine. The plugs have been coming pre gapped at 0.044 and the gsr requires 0.052
