if a part is too complex to dip in one go, you can dip one section, rinse it, spray intercoat over the dip, let it dry, then mask the previous dip, using the intercoat as a protective layer from the masking tape. Sometimes, masking tape can pull off the previous dip. We use intercoat to protect against that.
