This is the REAL first episode of WTF:Performance! I have been wanting to focus on car content for over a decade and this is literally just the start! Introducing my 1980 Chevy Corvette project car. It started out as a parts car I bought for 1300 bucks in Michigan and hauled back to IL. It had a title and a bunch of good parts, but the frame was JUNK! I had been working on disassembly for a few months and had boxes of parts scattered around the garage.
In this episode we start with a bare frame and a pile of crusty suspension parts. Let's get to work!

Wow your 69 coupe is looking great! I don't think mine will ever look that good. I'm thinking of doing a quick rattle can paint job in satin black when it's put back together. Makes touch ups easy! 👌

@@WTFPerformanceShow Thanks. My 69 came to me with a huge amount of damage, all way around. Inside will also need a lot of work. But it's getting there :- ) Soon I will stop working on the 69 Corvette, and start working on my 69 Chevelle.

Do you have a link to where you got all the bushing? I'm restoring a 71 vette, red bushings seem cool. And I love the gold plated frame idea!

People either LOVE the gold frame... or HATE it lol! Funny thing is no one will even see it when it's done. I missed this first episode so I had to go back and watch it. I have the exact same sand blasting cabinet I bought used. I tried it out Sunday and it didn’t work. I dumped the sand or whatever they had in it out and I need to find some different blasting material. Do you like yours? What do you use in it? Sand? Beads? Nuts shells? Just curious because mine wouldn’t pick up the material. I enjoyed your episode like the others, thanks!

Sorry I missed this comment. My cabinet works OK, it definitely could use some mods to make it better. Search it on RU-vid and a few guys found some good tricks to make it work WAY better. So far, I have been using 70 grit black aluminum oxide from harbor freight. I'd upgrade the light right away. It helps to actually see what you are doing LOL

@@WTFPerformanceShow thanks, I did buy 70 grit at tractor supply. My gun nozzle wasn’t on it and I replaced my feed hose. I stuck a trouble light in there and it worked ok, not exactly something I would Bragg about. Thanks, looking forward to more of your videos.

Some rough spots, I think every body mount needs attention and the drivers side door hinge area is completely gone. Gonna try to cut out the rot and repair it soon.

@@WTFPerformanceShow That's going to be a LOT of work, but with enough patience and time, most stuff can be fixed. Watch some of the stuff @MidYearMitch has repaired on a few C2s. Pretty impressive skills. Good luck! 🙂👍
