I invested heavily in Arcimoto. The stock has had a tough time, but I have never sold a single share. Diamond hands on every share. I know it's hard to start a great company. But this company is founded on a vision who's time has come. Keep up the great work. Put on your hatter-blockers and just MUV-on.

The company was founded by zealots who really want to bring things to market, so they're probably not going to stop until they are completely forced to. They've been working on this for more than a decade. This puts them on the other side of the spectrum from con men like Elio bilking money from investors so he can design new things and then go bankrupt and hand the designs to another shell company of his.

With that and my electronics degree I'm an 'expert' user and I have the time to fact check YT comments. When I learned the Nimbus was available as a rental I wanted to try one with AC for the miserable Florida summers. It is affordable enough to use as a second vehicle. I'll still want the cargo capacity and highway speed of my FUV available. I removed my rear seat and added cargo netting to have hauling capability for $5K less than the Deliverator. It is exciting to follow the EV evolution.

That would be a different design. And it would invite climate control zapping away battery power, reducing range by useless extra weight and power draw. This is a concept for truly efficient transportation, it has an mpg-E rating of 173 mpg. A billion motorcycles and scooters have no wrap around windshield, roof with rain gutters, or a door option. Arcimoto offers all three. You don't actually know what you want. Personal cars are no longer sustainable.
@TheHG20

@@popeyegordon Sure, ok, let's see you drive a motorcycle or scooter in February in any NA city.
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon Год назад
@@TheHG20 I have, as have hundreds of thousands of people in the US and Canada. They even have races with spiked tires, on frozen lakes. We wear the right gear. But of course the Arcimoto is a real comfy ride compared to any motorcycle or scooter. Wrap around windshield, joing roof with rain gutter, heated seats, grips and defroster. With the wind break and no risk of falling on three wheels, this is easy. RU-vid has videos of the FUV being driven on snow and ice to see for yourself. A man bought a new Arcimoto delivered in December of last year. He lives in the Rockies and had nothing but snow and ice to drive on until this spring. He posted many videos in our Facebook owners group. It is open to anyone to read. Sluggish battery performance in the cold was his only issue and that applies to all EVs.
@TheHG20
@TheHG20 Год назад
@@popeyegordon I was in Eugene about 10 days ago and no one was riding FUVs. Why? Because it's rainy and possible snowy and under 40° for months. Nobody wants to darn ski clothes just to drive somewhere. One man in Rockies is not going to convince 100's of thousands of people to that an open cockpit is desirable. It's stability in snow and ice is not the problem. When the AMP had an open house a few years ago, I attended it. I put a deposit but I'm waiting for an enclosed cockpit. There's no way you can convince me that riding in 30° day with an open cockpit is fine.
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon Год назад
@@TheHG20 HERE is why you saw no one riding in Eugene - they go on rallies frequently. Corvallis, Cresswell and Eugene July 4th parades, FUV rally this spring, Electrify Expo Long Beach and San Francisco, Anacortes Oyster Run. And Eugene owners report sightings all the time so you just missed seeing them for a single day on the one route you took. The flow of rentals, repair shop visits and shipments from the Eugene factory is daily, 6 days a week. One man in the Rockies is in fact enough to prove you wrong but there are hundreds of owners in northern states. There is a rental location in the San Juan Islands, hundreds of miles north of Eugene. They have no issue with weather or cold and they are fully booked every day except mid-winter when it rains constantly. Those tourists do not bring "ski clothes" with them to a small island at sea level. None of us wear ski clothes to stay warm, light jackets and fingerless gloves are enough when you are behind a wrap around windshield and adjoining roof, sitting on a heated seat out of the wind. You will want the same gear you wear to go outside to walk around unless you are a frail old person. Open cockpit implies no roof and might mean a small or no windshield. The FUV cockpit is fully enclosed on 4 of 6 sides and there is an option to add the side doors. Less than half of us want doors even in the cool northwest. They add dead weight and do nothing for safety. Our harness and roll cage provide the safety. Stop being such a whiny bitch. Rent one if you are serious about wanting one, this nonsense will fade away as you feel the joy and G-forces and hear the twin motors winding up like a jet turbine.

@@HerculesBallsInc I lived in Washington for 30 years. Did a lot of bike commuting, getting soaked. We can't get soaked behind a wrap around windshield with joined roof with rain gutters. It is always amazing to drive in a downpour with wipers on high speed and not getting a single drop of water on me. The air pressure diverts the rain away from the driver. Not so much for the passenger but in all conditions we are at least 90% more dry compared to a motorcycle, only light rain gear is needed if you will have periods where you are stopped in a cross wind. The odds that you will be in a crosswind while stopped are 50%. You have decided to shut your mind down tight to the facts without even watching the videos showing how we stay dry in rain. @AnonymousFreakYT

Arcimoto vehicles are AC-charging only ("Level 1" / "Level 2") thus a simple existing J1772-to-Tesla adapter like from TeslaTap or Lectron will work fine. I'm sure once SAE approves NACS as an official standard, Arcimoto will switch, but level 2 charging J1772 stations aren't likely to all convert, since every Tesla vehicle comes with a Tesla-to-J1772 adapter, and has done so since the first year Model S; so there has never been a huge reason to convert J1772 stations to Tesla.

The one thing in j1772's favor is that there will likely be a period of time where new chargers are installed with both standards, but the US could quickly see that change, as everyone moves to a single standard, since both standards adds cost and complexity when competing against Tesla, which only really has to support one.

No. You confused miles with KM. 102 *miles* city driving is the official rating, 75 MPH is what the company says but owners find the actual top speed is 82 to 84 MPH. Delivery use always means time back at base when it will be plugged in. Lunch and breaks plugged in too. In any case this was not designed for, or meant to be a long distance conveyance. My FUV will pay for itself in just 8 years, a plus you can not say about any other EV. In 2024 the average price of a new EV is $60,000 so the FUV is just one third as much and it gets the motorcycle rate for insurance. Mine costs me just $134/yr to insure! I put a deposit down on a Nimbus rental to try it out. It is far smaller and not nearly as fast but like the Arcimoto, it is still safer than any motorcycle ever sold. The Nimbus weighs half as much as the 1300 pound Arcimoto and the rear 'seat' is tiny while the Arcimoto has a nice rear bucket seat with harness. The base model Nimbus tops out at 50 mph while my Arcimoto does 84 mph. An intelligent comparison can not directly compare a light EV to the cost of any 4 wheeled car. There is no gas to buy, no oil changes, no airbag or converter to steal, no transmission or engine to blow up. And cars are boring and unadventurous while autocycles are fun.

@popeyegordon 7 месяцев назад
You are confused about safety. This is safer than any motorcycle ever made. It has the safety level of any small car, thanks to the double harness and certified crash cage. No helmets needed, they would do nothing to improve safety and their weight on your head would make neck injuries more likely. Cars are boring and isolating, autocycles are great fun, hence the name Fun Utility Vehicle!

Arcimoto should concentrate on compact SUV 4 wheelers like Tata Punch, Renault, Nissan. In this segment have a huge potential in the global market. Three wheeler should be sporty attitude.
@popeyegordon
@popeyegordon 4 месяца назад
No. What you suggest would completely waste 12 years of R&D protypes which gave us the unique original FUV concept. 4 wheels is a backslide to excessively large and overpowered unsustainable vehicles. SUV culture is a disaster for the biome. We need right sized vehicles that can be driven forever without lasting impacts. I bought my last gallon of gas 9 years ago. My Arcimoto is still bigger and more powerful than I need for all my local transportation but it is an infinitely sustainable design. 4 wheeled 4 seat vehicles are usually driven with empty seats and an empty trunk. Even a compact SUV would waste 3 times as much power as I need because it weighs 3 to 4 times as much as the Arcimoto. Harder to charge, far more expensive to insure. Harder to park and garage.

This is far more economical than any car you can buy new or used at any price thanks to the very low insurance rates and the method of powering it. Mine will pay for itself in just 8 years. It is the only type of highway capable vehicle I can afford on my fixed income.

No!! You missed the entire point of this design - the average car trip in the US is 3 miles with one or two occupants and an empty back seat, empty trunk. That means every one of those trips used twice as much energy and resources as they really needed. The average price of a new EV in the US in 2023 is $60,000! Remember you can not honestly compare car prices to EV prices because cars use gas and cost a lot more to insure. Mine is so cheap to operate that it will literally pay for itself in just 8 years, compared to owning a car for that period. FREE!!! Year 9 and beyond cost nothing but $50/yr for charging at home and $130/yr for motorcycle insurance. Learn to grasp the difference between ICE cars and EVs. Apples and oranges when it comes to purchase price and operation cost. Only breeders need minivans.

Yes, a good deal compared to the cost of other new vehicles for light deliveries in 2023. And remember that prices comparing gas vehicles to electic are never valid. Gas vehicles cost more to operate and insure and they should not be used inside of warehouses. The closest thing to the Arcimoto MUV in a new gas powered delivery version sells for $33,000 and that one tops out at 30 mph! My Arcimoto autocycle cost me just $132/yr to insure, an older car cost me $1000 to insure. HUGE difference! No gas or oil changes. I didn't even notice the cost of charging at home on my power bill.

Your old worn out debunked fossil fuel industry disinformation meme is pathetic and it was debunked years ago! Because the emissions of coal power plants can be restricted efficiently at the source, even an EV that runs on 100% coal grid power is far cleaner. Your hostile lies are no longer believed by educated people. Same for the battery minerals which only have to be extracted once, and then recycled forever, while fossil fuel can only be burned once. Biden's new bill mandates battery minerals from clean operations only. Failing to do this responsible sourcing means the vehicle won't qualify for tax credits.

Cars also cost you far more, even a car *given to you absolutely free* needs gas and oil changes, has a complex transmission that can blow up, has a motor that costs $5000 to replace, has a timing belt that can trash the engine if it breaks, has air bags and catalytic converters to steal.
