The hilarious part is Red Mantle is a magic user and could probably vaporize Phantom Limb from that distance.

Remember, he hasn't arched in years and is likely retired, with his only thing to occupy his time is as a council member. He likely hasn't practiced in ages so can't remember/ think of a spell, also we don't know what the requirements/ limits are. We see times where even Orpheus struggles with certain enchantments, and he's the most powerful magic guy in the world according to the master. Also Dragoon controls the right half so that would complicate him trying to cast a spell that requires certain hand movements as well as concentration.

@@kitkatkruncher22 not true. We see him use his powers when he made the soil move itself at the Clown councilman’s funeral, which took place after the events of this episode with both heads on together already.

@@portugal5698 mind you, this was after so they likely had time to acclimate and get used to their new situation for red mantle to use his magic. Also red mantle simply used his left hand and was able to think clearly to cast a simple spell, as opposed to here where they were in a stressful situation and were not sure how to work in tandem since they both use different skills and were not used to sharing a body.

I mean this is from Season 4 and the show is currently heading to Season 8 so it isn't really relevant to current seasons (Limb for example looks like his old self). Basically after having his wedding to Dr. Girlfriend and his attempted coup against the Guild thwarted, he then laid low and lost his mind while plotting another attack on the guild.
