Ricardo, thanks to you for coming along with us. Everybody here in the Pontiac had a lot of fun! Next? I'm headed North, to the Lac-St-Jean! Stay tuned!
Heyyyy, good morning people! we are indeed on the road with Ricardo this week! If you feel like we haven't covered something, or if there are some French parts you did not understand, feel free to ask below! We will answer everything (my mom is helping me in the comments)! Cheers!
I swear to you, Dom, this was more entertaining and FUN than anything on television!! Stay on route 148 all summer😄😄. Thank you for this video, I love to see people eating locally grown food like this…just like where I live!! Big hug 🧡to you, have a great week and see you next Sunday!! Huh-Huh✌🏼
What a great promotion for the Pontiac and quite an honor to have Ricardo visit our MRC for an agro tour! The Pontiac indeed has a whole range of agri-food producers unique in their kind in Quebec, to name a few more: the Herboristerie La Fée des Bois Apothecary farm, producers of herbal teas and local spices and herbal products; the Pure Conscience farm, producers of yak, fruits and vegetables certified organic; the Ostribee farm, ostrich and duck breeder;, Les Jardins Éducatifs, producers of ecological vegetables; Les Serres Paul Amyotte, producers of ecological vegetables in greenhouses, to name just a few. All producers who offer you their fresh products, directly on the farm and, by the way, most Pontiac agri-tourism businesses offer bilingual (French/English) or even trilingual (Spanish/German/etc) services and we are several within a 15 km radius of the very popular vineyard! A very beautiful region to discover!
Thanks Geneviève for giving a list of the Agri-food producers of the Pontiac. We could only feature a few of them in our fifteen minutes video. But evidently there is tons more to see and do in this beautiful region, the Pontiac!
First: This Route 148 project is amazing for so many reasons, from economical to entertainment. Second: Gotta thank you because Canada is not properly shown as should be. Third: Filter used on video is so soothing and got that something on the eye. Fourth: Have you ever seen Samurai Jack, the music sometimes tell the story, you people, got that "firefly leading the way" effect. Magnificent.¡¡PURA VIDA!! Was I too long? 🤣.
Ok Dom...when you said celebrity...you meant celebrity..me is impressed... also the pontiac is in my backyard and I didn't even know all this beauty. When I build mon van, it will be my first road trip
What a fantastic episode! I say 'episode', because this is now documentary quality that should be on Netflix. Bravo, Dom and Team!! (And wow, can't wait to visit the Pontiac!)
Welcome back my friend! Great video and your hometown is awesome! But Dude that Honey OMG! Great first video back!Im Dying to explore Canada .Bucket list, I've been there Twice but only Toronto,,,,
Ah Steven, you have not seen Canada if you have only been to Toronto! You have to expand your travelling! Canada is a big country and it is waiting for you! Happy trails!
Wait -- it's ENDING???!!! No!! It can't end next week -- this series is AMAZING!!! Love it to bits! Kudos to everyone involved, and may the 148 continue to be a success going forward! Now about Ricardo's Van (thanks for the tour!). It's exactly what I would do - essentially a Hymer Aktiv layout, but with the common sense alterations that we all wish the factory would have done in the first place: A use-able sink, a full size or decently large fridge and a shower a person can actually fit in!! If only the factories that produce these vans actually used them..... A la prochaine!
Hey! Thanks for your comments. As to your points on van layouts, I solved the common sense issues by building my own van. Not perfect but it suits me very well.
Good !
Route 148 is on my bucket list now.....loved all of your enthusiam with regards to the people and place to visit and Van Friendly..... omg!!! Cheers, Ps. keep up the amazing work ( Salut) Bruce (Ontario)
This was another amazing vlog, Dom! As a western Canadian, I am looking forward to someday travelling across Canada to see the unending beauty of our country. We truly have paradise in our own backyards, spread across our provinces and territories. Thank you for showing us novice travellers what Canada has to offer with both incredible scenery and van life experiences. Your content has really grown into something greater than I could have ever imagined. I would love to see you work your way across Canada to highlight each province and territory. Regardless, I love your journey and can't wait for the next vlog!!!
I totally agree - Dom's skills could go a great deal of justice to so much of Canada and I know more than just me would be interested in that! I love hearing French and English mixed in together and although as a Western Canadian my French is less than adequate I'm always having fun trying to match my understanding to the subtitles - an unusual added bonus that exists on only this RU-vid channel pour moi!
Wow Dom what a great time you guys had, nice friends make all the difference, you guys have a great attitude, for living life. Enjoying your video hoping to be on the road at some point myself.
that was fantastic!! I'm going to Bristol! when you asked Ricardo where he got the booze and he said I have a real van with a toilet, omg, so so funny!!
WoW! WoW! WoW!
I love the combination English/French with subtitles. It has been a long time since french classes., but with the native speakers at full speed with subtitles it is a great experience!
Little story about Ricardo and camping. Maybe 10 years ago, if not more, i was spending the day on l'Isle au Coudres dans Charlevoix. Every single place we went visiting with my family we would see Ricardo and his family. They were obviously doing the 'tour de l'isle' in the same direction as us. It was becoming kind of a joke with my kids. At the end of the day, we got on the ferry boat at the last minute and we end up facing Ricardo in his big motorhome deluxe, diagonally. We can see them, they can see us. They can also hear us because all windows are down, it is a hot day! For what ever stupid reason I screamed : 'Pas encore Ricardo!!!' Pretty sure he heard me, he smiled as usual. I felt so stupid. 😂
@Vanlife Sagas you LEGEND. Keep it up, Pontiac is my youth hood, this is so awesome that you’re showing all those beautiful places with beautiful people to the whole world!!! 🤩🤩 Lettttssss gooooo
I love Ricardo only just made his super moist banana bread , he's the best ....amazing route 148 a wonderful introduction I want to go to all these incredible places meet these wonderful people & buy their wares ( and I will one day ) . Loved this vlog Dom Merci beaucoup
Tu as retrouvé ta flame ca parrait.
About the French lesson 😄 Tadam is actually a word 😁 in Maltese Tadam is Tomato 🍅 😉. Keep up the good work and well done for speaking less French 😚 less French less editing work 😜👍🍻
Unfortunately, I don't have a van. But if I were to travel & Rent a car to see this route 148, how many hours apart are these stops apart from each other for a summer drive? Looks extremely beautiful & fun. Surprised that there was not a wine sampling. Actually more like shocked. Thanks
Bonjour Dom!
@@vanlifesagas After watching looked up the word Tadam. Does not seem like there is a good definition in most any language. Here is what I suggest.... Tadam - meaning, well done; good job; emphatic agreement; or form of positive greeting/departing. This can be a word defined on the channel. Would look good on channel merch. And can cross over to either english or quebecois. We can all start using it. Or if 'da-google' failed me and it really has a meaning(slang?) what is it ???? Tadam!
I explained it a little 3 weeks ago in a video. I’ll be doing this alone from now on: the girl with me is a friend and co-worker who had the idea of developing large scale vanlife projects to help regions across Quebec. That might too many words if you just had a hit from your bong. Let’s say she’s just a friend.
The cohost in question is Anne. Day to day, Anne deals with Project Management and Brand content at Visages Régionaux (www.visages régionaux.com), a key player in the current episodes.
