Thank you so much guys for all the support! Finally the day is come to react to INXS - Never Tear Us Apart! We hope you enjoy our reaction! • INXS - Never Tear Us A... #INXS #NeverTearUsApart #Reaction
Love this and all INXS. Shame we lost Michael Hutchence way too soon. He was a brilliant vocalist and song writer. INXS had world wide fame, possibly Australia’s most famous band. Filmed in Prague.
My favorite song from INXS. When it came out I was stationed in Germany and now it brings back so many memories of places and people that I knew in my younger days. Thank you
I am glad you listened and could enjoy the cinematography. It was filmed in Prague by Australian filmmaker Richard Lowenstein (who made Dogs In Space and He Died With A Felafil In His Hand as well as concert videos for INXS and U2). The music was written as a bluesy number like a Fats Domino song, but Michael Hutchence (the singer) wrote the lyrics and as they developed the song he kept slowing it down more and more, until it had the tempo of a Viennese waltz. Hence filming it in Prague on the banks of the Vitava. The song is one of 4 international top 10 hits from the album Kick. In 1997, when Hutchence died, this song was played as his coffin was carried from St Andrew's Cathedral, here in Sydney. INXS sold 75 million records. The most famous cover of this song was Tom Jones with Natalie Imbruglia which was released in 1999.
@@MerchantOfAlba the production of the video more mellow than Richards other creations…New Sensation off the same album and other tracks What You Need and Burn For You have animation and effects that work well
You're the first person I've seen mention Dogs in Space! Also I didn't know Richard Lowenstein directed He Died With a Felafel in His Hand, I've seen it and read the book. I think I'll go and watch it again.
This is amongst my top 10 of INXS songs. I much prefer their dance rock tunes better. I have seen them 6 times , one of the best bands I have ever seen in concert.
Yes! INXS 💕 This is another Australian talent that does their best work in front of a live audience . Check out "What you need " Live at Wembley stadium, it's such a buzz.......you'll love it! Loving your reactions so far.....such a cute couple 😊
Like the way you talk it over with each other -- and INXS was one hot ticket back in the day. Michael gone too soon for sure! Happy memories of these old tunes so thanks 😊
Another great song choice guys. Thank you. Another good song to check out is ‘Good Times’ a duet with Jimmy Barnes and INXS. It’s an uptempo party song and one I am sure you’ll enjoy reacting to. Cheers, Rod 👍🏼🍺🍺🍺
INXS Michael was a incredible talented singer the Band and lead singer are Australian Band🇦🇺. One off the many magical song’s famous all over the world . Unto we sadly lost Michael passed away and gone too soon so young.
Producer made Kirk repeat his Sax solo over 50 times until he was angry, you can feel it in how he played it. Then producer was happy & that's the take that made it onto recording
But my question is...do you feel it? Instead of analising it, do you feel the music? I find this song very emotional and the beautiful Michael does it so well. May he rest in peace...gone way too soon.
Another honest reaction. Music speaks to individuals differently. One of the best vocalists I've ever heard is Karise Eden. She won the first season of the voice AU in 2012. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-osYPbtEciaU.html Thank you for the smiles and I also love the shirts. What with the crikey comments and outback vibe I'd swear you guys are from the land downunder. Lol.
@@MerchantOfAlba we absolutely are and I rang my mum in Sydney from that bridge in Prague saying I'm standing on the bridge from Never Tear Us Apart video
One of the great Aussie bands, at one stage touted as the best band in the world. Had many worldwide hits. Yes. shot in beautiful Prague. Love the song, the light and shade is magic. Can't wait to see what is coming....
2 Aussie songs that are well worth a listen from 80's... Go Betweens - Streets of Your Town and The Triffids- Wide Open Road. Like Great Southern land by Icehouse are real Aussie style and atmosphere songs..
You have reacted to Jimmy Barnes check him out with INXS singing Good times. Definitely the live version the Australian made concert Australia Day 1987
Yes they are Australian. I went to one of their concerts in a park and took my 1 year old daughter. Fantastic concert!!! The singer ended up dying in his hotel room because he was in love but was unable to keep the relationship going!!! His lover was Bob Geldof's ex wife from memory!!!
Have just "fallen" over your channel and love it and your views.... and now that you've found Aussie music i'll wait patiently until you find ACDC Thunderstruck - Live at River Plate.. :)
Michael's funeral was at St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney and this song was played as he was carried from the Cathedral, so it's always poignant for me to hear it and takes me right back there. It's true when they say "...the song remembers when."
Yep, they’re Australian. I’m not sure where this was filmed. Prague perhaps? It’s good to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t love INXS. I get it. I grew up in Sydney and with friends, have seen INXS live quite a number of times when they used to do the pub circuit. My friends loved them and I did not. I only used to go see them because that’s where my friend’s were spending the evening and not because I enjoyed the band. I never quite understood why. They are technically good musicians, Michael Hutchence has a good voice but I just never felt a connection with the band’s vibe. The only reason I watched this video (and I found it a bit of a struggle to do so) was to support you guys. 🤷♀️ Love this honest reaction. Love your conversations with us. Enjoying you both so much and look forward to seeing you each day. 💕
Thank you so much....you said exactly what I was thinking but your English is more advanced 😉 We have so much joy doing this and never thought we'd meet (even if only virtually) such nice people! Thank you so much for your support! 💚😍💚😍💚😍💚
Nice to see you're both wearing flannos . It's the correct attire when listening to Aussie music . There's a bit of Bogan in all of us. Back in the 80s blokes would go and watch INXS because women would flock to watch Michael Hutchinson. If you couldn't pick up at an INXS gig ,then you weren't even trying.
One of the features I appreciate the reactions on this channel is the honesty, especially from the wife. Sorry, I can't remember your name while I'm writing this, can I just call you Mrs MerchantOfAlba for now. I myself am not or should say was not an INXS fan.
I noticed you're Delta Goodrem video was blocked, that is why I suggested Let it rain live (Today) it is played on the today show so it won't be blocked well I'm 95% shore that it won't be.Also if you pause occasionally during the song's that usually helps with videos getting blocked. Another idea would be to put a filter over the video for a good example check out the reactor Thatsingerreacts reacting to Delta Goodrem Wing's and you will see what he does to stop being blocked.
I felt strange giving a thumbs up! But it's good that you are giving people some perspective, so many RU-vidrs who do INXS reactions don't even know about it.
Hutchence dedicated this song to Kylie Minogue. The Port Adelaide football club sing this song on the way to their football games. They are singing a love song he wrote for Kylie Minogue! Folks are dumb where they come from!
This song was written in 1987 and Michael and Kylie started dating 2 years later in 1989. No one mentions Michele his long-term GF who paid the rent in their early years together.
As an Aussie, I would be offended you don't recognise Prague. Well, I guess it's a lot of my family that lives there. Although more live na Morava. I picked you two as mainland European two seconds after you spoke but I did live less than 80km from the Polish border.
